"hey Kanao can you help me with my homework?" Hanako asked.
"No she has to help me" Takio said, a little aggressively.
"Go away Takio i asked her first" Hanako says, stomping her little feet on the ground.
"Umm guys i......." Kanao starts but is interrupted by Takio.
"So? I'm older and besides Kanao likes me more" the boy said with a trumphiant smile.
"Nuh uh, she likes me more, I'm way cuter" Hanako argued.
"Guys i like you bot......." Kanao tries again but the kids aren't listening.
"Kanao is going to help me"
"No she's going to help me"
"No me"
"Me"
The two kids screamed back and forth and Kanao just stood in the middle not knowing what to do.
"Hey that's enough you two" Tanjiro voice says as he approaches the trio, his youngest sibling Rokuta, a little boy held protectively in his arms as he slept.
Hanako, Tanjiro's little sister turns to him. "but big brother Takio is trying to steal Kanao even though i asked her first" she whines pointing an accusatory finger at Takio.
"No I'm not, Hanako's a liar" Takio said, before the two can start arguing again Tanjiro gets on his knee and smiles at them.
"You guys shouldn't fight over her, you'll make it hard for her to choose so how about we try and get along to be respectful to our guest" he says. The two kids look unsure for a few seconds before nodding and bowing to Kanao.
"Were sorry" they both say at the same time, Kanao looks taken aback.
"I.. it's ok there's no need to apologise really, i love spending time with you both" she says.
"Really?" Hanako asks.
"Y..eah" she smiles shyly.
"Yay" Takio cheers.
"We like you alot too Kanao" Hanako says which touches her heart. Tanjiro approaches and ruffles their hair with his free hand.
"Great, now how about you two run along and go help mom and Nezuko with dinner" he says.
"You've got it big bro" Takio says before running off, Hanako following behind.
Kanao watches the entire conversation with a bright blush and a dreamy look on her face, you couldn't really blame her, she already thought Tanjiro was sweet and cute but seeing him with his siblings just upped it.
"Sorry about them" Tanjiro apologies to her looking bashful, his words bring her out of her daze.
She looks down and twiddles her thumbs, "i.. it's no problem" damn her stupid stuttering. "I d.. didn't know they liked me that much" she says shyly.
Tanjiro smiles. "Oh yeah they all adore you, your amazing so it makes sense" he praises, her face burns red and she feels butterflies in her stomach, Tanjiro was too sweet.
"T.. thanks" she mumbles, the two stand staring at each other for a while before Tanjiro clears his voice.
"It's getting late" he says.
"Y..yeah, i should be going home" she says, whenever she had to go it saddened her, not because she didn't want to go home but because she wanted to spend time with him more.
"I can walk you if you like" Tanjiro suggests, looking unsure, her heart beat picks up, not trusting herself to speak she just nods.
"Great, let me just put Rokuta down and we can go" he says before gently laying his brother down on the chair and kissing his forhead.
"Bye buddy" he whispers into his hair, Kanao smiles. Tanjiro was the sweetest, she was suprised when she found out he had five sibling, she had known about his sister Nezuko because his friend Zenitsu constantly mentioned her but she was suprised when he invited her to his house and saw he had four other siblings and he was such an attentive and good older brother it just made her like him more.
He turns to her, "ok let's go"
She nods.
The walk to her house is short, during the walk they make small talk before falling into a comfortable silence which she appreciated because she needed time to control her blushing face and beating heart, even though her nervousness around Tanjiro has improved since they became better friends she still got nervous around him from time to time especially when they were alone.
"Here we are" Tanjiro announces as they approach her house.
"Yeah, here we are" she says (stop sounding so stupid) she mentally slaps herself.
"Thanks" she mumbles as she walks up to the door.
"No problem" Tanjiro says, standing rather awkwardly, he always does this, whenever he walked her home he'd stand around for a few seconds before leaving, almost like he was waiting for something.
"Well...umm goodnight" she stutters out nervously.
"Yeah goodnight Kanao" Tanjiro replies before turning around and walking away.
She watches his retreating figure with a stupid smile before slipping into her house only to be met with her sister Shinobu grinning at her.
Internally she groans, knowing Shinobu was going to start teasing her.
"Hello sweet baby sister how was your date with Tanjiro?" Shinobu asks in a sing song voice, as usual she flushes red.
"I...t told you it wasn't a d...date we were just hanging out" she replies flustered, her sister giggles at her reaction.
"Oh come on this is like the fifth time he's invited you to 'hang out' Shinobu says, doing air quotes.
"It's only the fourth stop exaggerating" Kanao replies still flustered as she walks to the living room.
"Still" Shinobu says, following her into the living room. "It's still a lot, it's obvious what's going on"
Kanao turns to her, "and that's what?" She asks curiously, when her sister grins like a Cheshire cat she regrets asking.
"That he liiiiiikes you" Shinobu says in a sing song voice again.
Kanao entire face turns red. "T...that doesn't make any sense, he's just inviting me to hangout as f..friends" she denies, Tanjiro was nice, it was clear he only liked her as a friend, her sister was talking crazy.
Shinobu rolls her eyes.
"Your adorable Kanao, look I'm more experienced with boys and dating than you, he invites you home to his house all the time, always wants to hang out with you and always walks you home every single time" the older girl says crossing her hands, Kanao's face just turns redder and redder.
"T... that doesn't mean anything, he's just nice" she says. Shinobu groans.
"He always stands at our doorstep for a few minutes all the time before leaving" her sister says, she blinks confused.
"So?" She asks.
"Ugh" Shinobu groans before continuing, "he does it because he's contemplating asking you out or probably kissing you"
Kanao feels her body go as hot as a furnace, that was impossible.
"W.. what a..re you talking about?" She asks flustered.
"I know boys, Mitsuri's boyfriend Obanai did the same thing and so did Kanae's boyfriend Sanemi, it's obvious he wants to ask you out but is too nervous" Shinobu explains, her sister was so dense.
"N..no your wrong, why would Tanjiro want to ask me out?" She asks.
Her sister groans again. "because he likes you, it's so obvious a baby could tell"
She twiddles her thumb. "Do you really think so?"
"Yeah" Shinobu replies.
Kanao feels fluttering in her stomach, Tanjiro her deep crush liking her? No it couldn't be.
"You should tell him you like him, you two would be such an adorable couple" Shinobu squeals, she shakes her head.
"No way, i can't" she says, Shinobu smile drops.
"Why not? you like him"
"Yeah but I'm not even entirely sure your right and i couldn't, I'd die of embarrassment" she mumbles, she couldn't believe Tanjiro liked her no matter what her sister says, he's too good for her, she wasn't anything special.
Shinobu grabs onto her shoulder and start shaking her. "He does trust me, go for it"
She shakes her head again. "N..no sis now please drop it" she pries Shinobu off of her and heads to her room.
Shinobu sighs, why was her sister such a mess.
Upstairs Kanao jumps on her bed thinking of what her sister says.
Could Tanjiro really like her?
"I should forget about it and go to bed" she sighs before her stomach rumbles.
"Right dinner"

Kanao down the noisy school hallway on her way to her regular eating spot, an old tree at the end of school, it was quiet and she could be alone, she liked it.
She sits down and opens her bento her oldest sister Kanae made and smiles.
"Thank you for the food" she says and is about to take a bite when she hears a voice.
"Oh there you are Kanao" her heart beat quickens as she looks up at Tanjiro who was smiling down at her.
"H..hi T.. tanjiro" she stutters out, hoping she wasn't blushing too much.
He takes a sit next to her on the grass, their shoulder brushing making her blush harder.
"W.. hat are you doing here?" She asks before panicking, "not that i mind your presence" she waves her hand in front of her face.
Tanjiro turns to her and smiles making her heart melt. "I just wanted to eat with you" he replies, rubbing the back of his neck, her heart beat picks up, when he said sweet things like this it gives her hope he might actually like her.
"Oh, t.. thanks" she mumbles.
Tanjiro opens up his own bento and starts eating after saying his thanks.
"Your food looks good, did you make it yourself?" She asks.
"Yeah, Nezuko did most of the work though, she's getting really good at cooking" Tanjiro replies, looking proud as he praised his little sister, it was so cute.
"Oh that's great, i cook by myself sometimes but i always put in a lot of salt or pepper" she says, no nervousness in sight, whenever they fell into comfortable conversation her nerves always calmed down.
"Don't look embarrassed, making that mistake is easy i do it all the time, i can show you tips if you'd like" he offers.
"Yeah I'd like that" she replies.
From the other side of the school field Shinobu watched.
Those two were too cute together, if only her sister would grow a pair.
"Hey hey Shinobu chan what you staring at?" Her best friend Mitsuri says looking at her curiously.
"Kanao and Tanjiro" she replies not taking her eyes off of them.
"Oh" Mitsuri says before tilting her head in confusion, "why though?"
"Because my baby sister likes Tanjiro and he so likes her too yet for some reason she doesn't know and won't confess, it's frustrating to watch" she explains, at the mention of romance Mitsuri's eyes light up and she starts jumping in excitement.
"Aww that's so cuuute, and yeah i hate it when people do that, it sucks" the girl says agreeing with Shinobu.
"I know right, i wish there was something i could do to give Kanao the push she needs" Shinobu says.
"Yeah" Mitsuri says looking down before gasping excitedly startling Shinobu who gives her a confused look.
"What is it?" She asks.
"I have an idea" she says jumping up and down again.
Shinobu smiles, "tell me"

"Are you sure about this?" Aoi asked Shinobu and Mitsuri as the three stand the hallway outside the first year classroom.
"Yes" Shinobu replies.
"How do i even bring Tanjiro up in conversation?" She asked.
Shinobu groaned, she just needed Aoi who was fairly friendly with Kanao to tell the girl someone planned to confess to Tanjiro to get her to get jealous or insecure and confess, easy, what was so hard about that.
"She told you likes Tanjiro right?" Shinobu asks.
"Yeah" Aoi replies.
"Great, just tell her you heard a girl say she'd confess to Tanjiro easy" Shinobu said.
"And your sure she'll believe me?" She asks.
"Absolutely positive, right Shinobu chan?" Mitsuri chimes in excitedly.
Shinobu smiles. "Yes my sister is kind of easy to trick and when it comes to Tanjiro she goes to panic mode easily" Shinobu explains, "so will you?"
Aoi sighs. "Yeah, ok but it's because i want Kanao to be happy" the girl replies, Mitsuri squeals and Shinobu smiles brighter.
"Goodie" Shinobu says, putting her hands together.
Before Aoi walks into her class she asks. "Why can't you tell her yourself though?"
"Because Kanao won't believe me, i already pushed her about the matter yesterday" Shinobu replies.
"Ok, well wish me luck" Aoi waves before walking away.

It was a free period and everyone in class were talking and just hanging out, Tanjiro was having a conversation with Zenitsu while Inosuke was having an arm wrestling contest with Genya, the other students cheering them on. Aoi sat next to Kanao the latter who was busy drawing.
"Here goes nothing" Aoi thinks in her head before clearing her throat getting Kanao's attention.
"Aoi?" She asks.
"Hey kanao i have something to tell you" she says.
"What is it?" Kanao asks, Aoi looks around before leaning into her ear.
"I heard two girls from class 2 talking and one of them said they liked Tanjiro and wanted to confess to him" she says, sounding as convincing as possible.
Kanao's eyes widened at Aoi's words, confess to Tanjiro, someone else.
"Really, who?" She asks trying not to sound anxious.
"Miri, you know that really pretty one" Aoi says without skipping a beat, her lies already practiced.
"Miri" Kanao whispered looking down. Miri was pretty and she was friendly with everyone including Tanjiro, if she confessed would Tanjiro accept?
Aoi waves her hand in Kanao's face trying to bring her out of her daze.
Miri, beautiful social Miri and Tanjiro, cute social Tanjiro, I'd be a perfect match, it made her stomach churn.
"Kanao, hello" Aoi says.
The thought of seeing Tanjiro with a girl that wasn't her made her want to cry, but what could she do.
"Kanao come back to me" Aoi said shaking her and that gets her attention.
"Huh?"
"Are you ok, you totally just spaced out" Aoi said, Kanao puts her hand on her head and looks down.
"What am i going to do" she mumbles.
"Tell Tanjiro you like him first" Aoi says, Kanao flushed red and shakes her head.
"I can't do that, why would he accept my confession, he doesn't like me that way and I'm not as pretty or as cool as Miri" she looks away, Aoi sighs before turning Kanao's face to look at her.
"Don't say that Kanao your amazing and just because Miri is prettier than you doesn't mean Tanjiro will like her more, he spends more time with you and seems to really like you, I'm sure he likes you more so stop being so insecure" she says with a smile.
"You sound like my sister" Kanao mumbles before asking shyly. "Do you really thinks he likes me?"
"Everyone can tell so go for it because if you spend your time waiting you'll regret it later" Aoi says with a smile.
Kanao clenches her fists, Shinobu had said Tanjiro liked her and now Aoi, maybe he did and even if he doesn't I'd be good for her to get it off her chest. She sighs.
"Okay your right, I'll....... she pauses. "I'll tell him"
Aoi smiles. Shinobu will be so proud.
"But" Kanao says, Aoi turns to her. "I've never confessed before what do i do?" She asks.
Aoi puts her hand on her chin. "I don't really know, ooh i l know ask Shinobu senpai or Mitsuri senpai, they are the love experts"
Kanao nods.
Yeah that sounded like a good plan.

"So how should i go about it?" Kanao asks from ontop of her bed, Shinobu and Mitsuri sitting crossed leg across from her.
"I know, i know, i know" Mitsuri says, raising her hand in excitement.
"Umm...ok what did you have in mind?" Kanao asks the excited girl.
"You need to get tanjiro out at night-" kanao doesn't like where this was going. "And then you tell him to look at the sky where you'll have the words 'i like you Tanjiro' spelt in fireworks, it'll be so romantic" Mitsuri sauealed. Kanao and Shinobu mouth drop.
"That sounds a bit too much and i don't think that kind of thing suits me" Kanao mumbles.
"I agree with Kanao and knowing Tanjiro, he'll probably be uncomfortable" Shinobu says agreeing with her sister, Mitsuri deflates.
"Ok" she says before immediately brightening again. "What about you Shinobu chan?"
Kanao turns to her sister.
"Ok you should walk up to him and tell him normally" she says, Kanao blinks and Mitsuri gasps in shock before shaking Shinobu.
"That's it?" She says looking flabbergasted.
"I'm with Mitsuri, i thought it be more extravagant than that" Kanao admits.
"Well sorry to disappoint you-" Shinobu says prying Mitsuri off of her, "but simple is the best way" she finishes.
"Hmm. I guess Shinobu chan is right, ooh you should tell him to meet you behind a sakura tree and look really cute while doing it" Mitsuri says, both girls are disappointed when Kanao shakes her head.
"I... I can't do that" she mumbles.
"Why not?" Shinobu asks, Kanao doesn't respond. Her sister sighs.
"Fine how about you write him a letter, knowing you your probably too shy to tell him to his face so this should be easier for you" Shinobu suggests, Kanao's face brightens, her sister knew her too well.
"Yeah i can do that" she says while nodding.
Shinobu smiles. "I'm glad i could help"

Dear Tanjiro Kamado
I really like you, like really really really like you, wait that's too many realies, anyway i like how kind you are, how helpful you are, how you are a great big brother and so patient and sweet with your siblings, how you never judge anyone and is always open to accepting people,you accepted me and my awkward and weird self without judging me and i really appreciate that.
I think your a real sweet and amazing guy and i really like being around you, i really like you and i hope you like me back.
Tanjiro couldn't stop the raging blush that appeared on his face as he read the letter he found in his bag over and over again, he couldn't believe he got a love letter and the person was saying all kinds of sweet things about him.
"Ugh Tanjiro we get it you got a love letter do you have to read it over and over again, your not even talking to us" Zenitsu said, with jealousy in his voice, how dare Tanjiro get a love letter before him, it wasn't fair.
"S..sorry it's just... it's really sweet and nice" Tanjiro replies looking basful. Kanao watched from behind a wall, heart beating anxiously.
"Who cares about love, let's go to your parents bakery and eat" Inosuke says looking bored, Zenitsu turns to him in anger.
"Are you mad, it's not every day a man gets a love letter, your food can wait" he screamed in Inosuke face which made him mad.
"You dare you shout at the great Inosuke" the boy shouted back, before they could kill each other Genya who is also there steps in between them looking annoyed.
"That's enough you two" he says before turning to Tanjiro, "hey romeo who gave you the letter anyway?"
"I dunno there isn't a name" he replies.
"WHAT" Zenitsu screamed practically ripping the letter from him. "Annonymous huh"
From the behind the wall she's watching Kanao goes as white as a sheet, how could she have forgotten to leave her name, she wanted Tanjiro to know it was her.
"Why am i so stupid" she says, mentally slapping herself.
"I wonder who it could be?" Tanjiro says, ignoring the name of the person he wants it to be that's ringing in his head.
"Who cares, i want cake let's go" Inosuke said.
Tanjiro sighs. "Ok let's go, come on guys" he says before gently placing letter in the bag and walking away with his friends.
Kanao comes out of her hiding spot and sighs, how could she forget to sign her name.
"Great that means i have to-" she gulps, "tell him"

"I wonder who it could be" Tanjiro says as he eats cake with his friends.
"You still talking about that love letter" Inosuke says, Tanjiro blushes slightly.
"Yeah"
"Ooh i know, maybe it was Kanao" Zenitsu says a little teasingly.
Tanjiro tries to stop it but a deep blush blooms on his face.
"W..hat m..akes you think it's her?" Tanjiro mumbles out.
"Because she's got a big fat crush on you" Zenitsu replies.
"And you like her too, you two are just dancing around it" Genya chimes in while Inosuke eats his cake in disinterest.
Tanjiro face goes redder. "I..... d...ont... She d..oesn......" His friends give him an unconvinced look and he stops and sighs.
"I'm not kidding anyone i like her and according to everyone she likes me too but do you really think she wrote the letter?" He asks.
"Yes, the person who wrote it seemed to know you and she's the only girl your close to besides your sisters" Genya says.
"And the part about 'accepting my awkward and weird self' that's definitely Kanao, it's her."
"What do you think Inosuke?" Tanjiro asks, turning to his other friend.
"Huh?" Inosuke replies, clearly not paying attention.
"Do you think Kanao wrote the letter?" He asks.
"I don't know, she's obsessed with you so probably" Inosuke replies before going back to eating.
Tanjiro smiles, a red blush onboth his cheeks. "I hope it's her too" he whispers.

"So what are you going to do now" Shinobu asks Kanao as the two walk inside the school building together.
"I don't know" Kanao mumbles.
Shinobu groans. "Tell him you wrote the letter"
Kanao sighs. "I..... I'm nervous"
"Why? You've already confessed all you have to do is confirm your identity" Shinobu says.
"I know but I'm.........." Kanao pauses when she sees Tanjiro approaching her.
"Hi Kanao, Shinobu senpai" he greets. Kanao goes red.
"H...hi Tanjiro" she stutters out.
"Hey" Shinobu waves. "Did you need something?"
Tanjiro scratches the back of his head before replying. "I wanted to talk to Kanao about something"
"Oh, w..hat?" Kanao asks.
"In private" he says.
She just nods, heart beating fast.
The two walk to a secluded area and stand awkwardly staring at each other.
"Ok Tanjiro just say it, ask her, it's just a little question" he tells himself mentally in his head before clearing his throat.
"Kanao the other day i got a love letter" he starts, Kanao's eyes widen, the letter, did he know it was her?
"It was really sweet and cute, it made me happy" the boy continues while Kanao had her internal battle.
There was absolutely no need for him to be telling her about his letter unless he knew it was her, was he going to confront her? The thought of admitting it's her was making her want to throw up with nerves.
"My friends say it was you because of the words and i really believe it was, you know when they told me it was you....." Kanao tuned him out after he said he believed it was her and her brain went into panic mode, she wasn't ready to tell Tanjiro she liked him, what was she thinking, she couldn't bear being rejected by him it would hurt too badly, she couldn't let him know she wrote the letter.
"I'm hoping it's you because i really li-"
"It wasn't me" she blurts out loudly cutting Tanjiro off.
"Huh?" The boy says looking startled.
"I'm sorry but i didn't write the letter" she says, feeling her heart break as she does.
Tanjiro feels his stomach sink at her words, it wasn't her? He was so sure it was but it looks like he was wro.......
"Oh really, well sorry for bothering you" he bows before walking away and Kanao slumps against the wall and sighs.
"What's wrong with me" she mumbles.
She spends the rest of the day moping and questioning her life choices, she felt bad for lying to Tanjiro, especially since she'd gone threw all that trouble to write the letter. She glances over at her crusb and sees him resting his head which was unusual, she could help but notice he looked kind of hopeful this morning and sad when she'd denied writing the love letter.
"Could it be that he really likes m......"
She shakes her head, she didn't want to get her hopes up.
Then Tanjiro raises his head and she sees the absolutely sad look on his face and she feels pain shoot through her.
"Did i upset him?" She says to herself before once again disregarding the thought. "No it's probably something else"

"Hey sis are you going to tell Tanjiro you wrote the letter?" Shinobu asks as they enter the house.
Kanao groans, she was tired of this romance confession stuff, she's a woose who couldn't even take responsibility for her own letter and she was tired of being reminded of it.
She turns around to face her older sister looking exsuasted and serious which surprises Shinobu who steps back a little.
"Kanao?" She says.
"I'm tired of the pressure ok, just leave it alone, I'll tell him when I'm ready now stop asking" she says before stomping to her room and slamming the door after.
Shinobu stands looking stunned, she's never seen Kanao so angry. She walks up to her room and taps on the door. "I didn't mean to make you feel pressured ok, i just wanted to ask because i know how much you like Tanjiro" she says softly.
She hears sniffling before Kanao speaks. "He asked me if i wrote the letter and instead of telling him the truth i said no because I'm a coward who can't even tell a damn boy i like him"
Shinobu eyes widened, she didn't like hearing her sister talking about herself like that.
"I wish i could be like you" Kanao mumbles.
Shinobu sighs before slumping against the door.
"I'm not as amazing as you think, ever since middle school there's been only one boy I've ever liked Tomioka but he'll never believe i do because of how i used to treat him and i hate that, i blew my chance with him and i still regret it" she admits, Kanao's own eyes widen from inside her room, she never knew that, guess her perfect sister wasn't so perfect after all.
"I'm really sorry sis that has to hurt" she says.
"It's ok really it's just life, Your not a coward Kanao, it's okay to be nervous about your crush, it doesn't make you a loser or anything" she says comfortably.
"I want Tanjiro to know how much i like him but i just get so nervous, what do i do?" She asks sounding so unsure Shinobu wanted to hug her.
"Just be honest with yourself and him that's the best way, and do it at your own pace, whatever makes you comfortable" Shinobu replies, feeling bad for pushing her.
Kanao smiles. "Ok thank sis"
"It's not a problem baby sis"
"And and Tomioka I'm sure things will work out eventually" she comforts, Shinobu smiles.
"Thanks, now get out and give me a hug" she says as she stands up from the ground, Kanao opens the door and immediately embraces her sister.
"I love you sis" she says.
"Me too" her sister replies.
Kanao smiles feeling better and ready to do what's she's been dancing around since.

Kanao walked into class the next day looking determined as she walked to Tanjiro's desk.
"Hey Tanjiro i need to talk to you please" she says surprised she didn't stutter at all.
"Oh, I'm not really in the mood right now" Tanjiro declines still looking upset, it hurt her but she wasn't going to give up.
"Please it's important, just give me five minutes" she begs.
Tanjiro sighs before giving her a small smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. "Ok"
Tanjiro and Kanao are standing under a tree in a secluded spot in the school, Tanjiro is staring at her waiting for Kanao to speak while she looks down triying to gather her confidence.
"Ok here i go" she thinks before raising her head up to look at her crush.
"Tanjiro I like you" she states, Tanjiro's eyes widen at her words but she continues. "I really like you, I like how nice you are and how caring and sweet you are, how good you are with your siblings, how you still like spending time with me even though i hardly talk, your smile, your laugh, everything about you" she confesses, face completely red but her eyes fixed on his face which was turning an adorable shade of red.
"She likes me" he thinks, he shouldn't be so surprised, he'd suspected it but after yesterday he wasn't so sure but now she was confessing to him and he should really say something.
"I wrote you the letter because i was too shy to tell you and when you asked me i lied because i was nervous, I'm sorry i should have been honest with you, i really really like you Tanjiro and i get it if you don't like me back especially after i lied, it's ok i won't be ma.........." Kanao is interrupted by Tanjiro embracing her, she freezes.
"I'm not mad" he says softly.
"But i lied to you" she says, he should be mad at her.
"You were just nervous i get it, i couldn't be mad at you because of that" he says to her, she smiles before hugging him back, after a while Tanjiro pulls away and looks at her with a big smile.
"Kanao I was disappointed when you said you didn't write the letter" he admits.
Kanao goes red.
"Do you want to know why?"
Kanao feels her heart beat speed up in anticipation of his answer.
"W..hy?" She asks with a shaky voice.
"Because i like you two" he says, smiling wide.
Kanao feels her legs go weak and her face explode in a furious blush matching Tanjiro's already red face.
"Y...ou do?" She asks, voice still shaky. Tanjiro chuckles.
"Yes i do, alot"
She couldn't believe, all this time her sister had been right and Tanjiro did really return her feelings, God she felt like crying.
She smiles then, a big happy smile before embracing Tanjiro again.
"Kanao?" He asks.
She giggles into his shoulder happily.
"I'm so happy" she admits, Tanjiro laughs too.
"Me too"
She pulls away to look at his face before shyly asking. "So what now?"
Tanjiro takes her hand making her blush.
"I dunno, but we could start by walking to class together" he suggests.
She smiles again.
"I'd like that"
As the two walk to class together, Kanao with a spring in her step thinks to herself about how happy she is to finally tell him her feelings.
