“Wasn’t it a risk? Confessing, I mean,” Nagi asks. “Because we could have stayed where we were, floating together endlessly in our undefined space.”
“Floating together, but never bound to each other, either,” Isagi murmurs. “And I did it because I didn’t want to be a reverse Big Bang.”
“A what?”
“That one moment, your whole world’s in front of you,” Isagi clarifies, softly stroking Nagi’s cheek.
“Then the next moment, it isn’t. I couldn’t stand the thought of losing you because of random chance. So I made my own fate.”
Nagi intertwines their fingers, “And now, we enjoy ours.”
