Special Spells.

Summary:

A small little drabbleish or oneshot thing to go with Honey and Emeralds to give more insight into how Remus and Tonks end up where they are.

Work Text:

Antonin Dolohov grinned as he stepped back onto the active battlefeild that was Hogwarts's Grounds. Stalking after his prey with a gruesomely manical grin on his face as he fired off spells of his own creations. Stopping only briefly to make sure the effects where as tested or to make note if something else happened, Truthfully he didn;t really care if his spells were hitting friend or foe either as he sent a crackling electric blue spell flying at one of the werewolves, pausing to make note that Fulmen Ruptis did indeed make the targeted area burst.

With grim amusement he moved on from the twitching mess, moving this time towards a few of the , dumbest choices for order members he'd have to say firing off two more Fulmen Ruptis, scowling as they missed but left a oddly lightning like spiderwebbing burn on the castles outer wall. Turning and throwing up a shield , as he resumed his course. Flicking his wand this way and that sending some off their feet with his normal flair. Crucios here and there, bombarda maxima to throw some ground up for cover and possibly blow up a previous student of hogwarts's or two. He didnt check, He had his eye on his idea of a prize.

And he had his chance as Bellatrix struck a woman with a spell he taught her, that amplified the effects of a Crucio, only if it was cast after several small bouts of the said spell. Who knew that the multiplication spell 'Multiplicamini' would react so well when used on someone . He raised his own wand to deflect Lupin's attempt to aid his wife. How cute. Dolohov sneered in his head as the two began to spar. He saw someone take on Bellatrix, and lure her away which opened the field a bit. He didn't wish to hit a decent fellow death eater . Not that there were many decent in the worlds eyes..

A white ringed purple spelled flew from Dolohovs wand as he swirled it in a rapid stabbing motion, and with a slice to the side , he sent out ' Dilacerent Lupum' watching as the spell struck Remus, not that he got to see the effects of his newest creation, as Green engulfed him .

---

Dolohovs notes would be later discovered at a raid on a rundown muggle house, one called Riddle Manor . Aurors would have answers to many of the newer residents in the Janus Thickly Ward and other parts of St Mungos Hospital, including an idea into how one Auror ended up like the Longbottoms.
And an even bigger insight into the curious case of previous werewolf Remus Lupin.

Unspeakables and Healers began to breakdown several of the spells listed in the notes and while Dilacerent Lupum had Tear Part Wolf , written on the pages , it was one of dolohovs newest and untested creations. They hyposetised that Dolohov thought hed be alive after the war as there were several more pages of thougths and diagrams of unnamed or unfinished spellworks. But the theory behind DL as they dubbed it was that instead of having the wolf tear apart the wizard on its way out, Dolohov wanted it to make the weres unable to shift back into their true form of the human,. Instead he created a cure of sorts.

While DL, did infact tear apart the wolf that was part of Remus, because he wasn't fully accepting of his wolf either, the healers and unspeakables assumed Magick took the spell into her own hands and ripped the Wolf from Remus, and with the discord between Human and Wolf Mindset it did render the poor man into a 3 month coma, in which, after awakening, it took 3 years for him to be able to leave St. Mungos fully. With a Less than Average magical core compared to what he used to have, and the inability to stay awake for long periods at a time still. He was released into the care of one Andromeda Tonks, with the help of her Sister Narcissa who was on house arrest, along with her son.

Remus would honestly never fully recover, Losing the wolf did more damage than harm, but it made him bitterly happy it was gone.
