Karl knew he should have never come out in the open. The bar was full that night, to the brim. He ran, not looking where he was going and bumped into something, a glass. 'shit shit shit!' he thought to himself. "Well, well, what do we have here?" A man said, grabbing Karl by the back of his shirt, the stench of beer came over Karl as he flailed.
"no no no! Let me go" Karl yelled struggling. "I don't think I will, you'll make a great addition to my collection" the drunk guy said with a smirk. At this point everyone in the bar was watching, when Karl thought all hope was lost someone spoke"let him go you asshole!" The man said coming forward.
"and what if I don't?" The drunk man challenged. "If you don't you'll have a lot of trouble on your hands, so I suggest you hand him to me" the other man says holding out his hand. When the drunk man wouldn't give Karl up the other man punched him in the face, making the now unconscious man let Karl go, not into the other mans hand but making him start to plummet toward the ground.
Karl let out a yell, bracing himself for his awaiting death. Then, instead of falling to the ground he landed on a warm surface. Then he was moving, out of the bar the man went before looking down at Karl who was cupped in his hand. "Hey little guy...your safe now" the man says with a small smile.
Karl slightly came out of his fatal position looking up at the man in fear "I'm sapnap, what's your name?" The man, sapnap asked. Karl figured that if he was going to hurt him he would have done it already "k-karl, my names Karl" he said kicking himself for stuttering. "Cool, nice to meet you Karl" sapnap said with a nod.
Even though Karl had the warmth of sapnap's hands, I was freezing, he hadn't been out in the world for a year or two. "Do you mind if I take you back to my house, it's pretty cold out here..." Sapnap asked to which Karl nodded, suddenly feeling drowsy. As they were walking to sapnap's house Karl's eyes dropped, then he couldn't fight it anymore and fell asleep.
