Work Text:

Owo flipped through the pages of her journal, showing the countless crosses and notes she had taken in her stay in the Mist Valley.

"I'll have to prepare the recipes for the meals of the banquet," she muttered, "but I'll need to upgrade it first."

She flipped to a page with crudely drawn portraits and notes in each one. The notes showed the gifts that she’d given and liked as well as their current cultivation level.

"Why is everyone still in initial stage?" she grumbled, continuing to flip. "Ah, but Ziqin is in middle stage. I'm the only one on late stage in Meditation in the sect."

Excluding the wanderer and Lin Xi, she was currently the strongest in the sect. She ran her fingers down Ziqin's portrait. The man had been their pseudo leader since they started their rebuilding plan. Still, he was weaker than she was.

Thinking about it, her friends in the sect always reached out to her when they needed help. Gathering spirit stones, gathering materials, exploring the caves and recently, the hidden realm in Yuhua dock. Her wealth went up and down more than the leaf imp that followed her around.

Sighing, she looked around her house. It had two rooms extending to the left and right of her living room, which also doubled as her bedroom. The furniture were placed haphazardly, prioritizing the effect on her cultivation than anything.

She never had enough time to decorate her home. The ones that held the most effect on her cultivation costed so many spirit stones it was almost a waste. It was better off renovating another building in the sect or buying another set of seeds to fund her goals.

Walking out the door, her still growing plants remained there in the farm. There was only a day left in the current solar term, and another solar term left before the winter ends. Should she start saving up materials to renovate the farm?

Her eyes wandered to her octopath wells, both manual and automatic. Wei Hong had told her about his plans on improving the wells' radius. She just needed to wait for the peppers to grow before she can give him what he needs.

She flipped her journal to look at the schematics of the wells. There was only a limited amount of energy in the valley that can power his machines. Wei Hong's new machines should make the previous iterations more efficient, which meant she can add more, which meant more time for her to explore her other goals.

She doesn't know what materials he needed but he did mention getting help from a person in Yuhua Dock? No, she flipped through her letters, searching for Wei Fong’s. It was Feihong Manor. She can’t travel that far yet, so she can only gather more materials in the realm in Yuhua Dock. Should she farm the materials?

It took a whole day for her to return. Last time, she went out at 10 in the night and had only returned at daybreak the following morning. She'll plan the trip accordingly next time, the monsters in the cave aren't enough any more, even as expensive as the materials they drop are.

She'll just gather more stone and lumber instead. There's no way she won't need more. That's right, she'll do that and start mapping out the new design of her farm.

She'll forgo the banquet at another time once she had planned how her new farm will look. A more efficient farm, the better.

Sighing, she listed down the tasks she needed to prioritize. There were a lot of tasks she needed to do, as the guardian of the Mist Valley and as a member of Guiyun Sect. Thinking about it, she's glad Ziqin was their current leader. She would die from overwork if she needed to manage the Guiyun Sect on top of the Mist Valley.
