Mantis giggled, her pearly white teeth baring a wide grin as she stared at Nebula across the room. The Luphomoid stood by her room's desk, pulling a sweater over her head to take it off. Her eyebrows perked at the sound of Mantis' soft giggles, the corner of her lip tugging up a bit. She turned around as she grabbed one of the loose shirts she received from Peter one time. His excuse was that "she needed casual clothes every once in a while".
Nebula must have forgotten she was topless when she turned, as Mantis kept staring into her like she could pounce on her at any given moment. Nebula raised her left eyebrow, which was now visible ever since she took off a portion of her face cybernetics. "You've seen this a million times, Mantis." Nebula pertained to her naked upper body, and Mantis looked away with a witty smile.
The Luphomoid rolled her eyes with a groan, slipping the shirt over her head. It was already late and Nebula could feel her eyelids drooping lazily. Her sleepiness was immeasurable. She had been tired the whole day, but every time she closed her eyes to try and take a nap, she could never seem to fall asleep.
She looked over to Mantis at that thought, watching her as her antennas droop every few seconds, her head perched up with her hand and her elbow on the mattress. Nebula walks over to the bed and sits. Then she lays down and she feels Mantis' arms wrap around her waist, tugging her closer as their bodies gently press together in the warmth. "I missed you."
Nebula looked visibly confused at that statement. "You and I were huddled together in bed just a few minutes ago." She growls, which Mantis responded to with a grin. "I know." She cheekily whispers. One of Mantis' hands slip underneath Nebula's shirt, her cold palms feeling at the warm blue skin. Her antennas glow, and she smiles, gently closes her eyes. "You feel annoyed. I've been a bit clingy lately, but you can't help but love it." She opens her eyes, her deep black ones meeting Nebula's. "I merely tolerate your neediness, but you're right. I still love it." Nebula whispers, pulling a strand of hair behind one of Mantis' ears. Mantis smiles widely and her antennas lose their light after a few seconds.
Nebula sighed, wrapping her organic arm around Mantis. "Let's get to bed. I'm sick of postponing my naps." Nebula grunts. Mantis only nods in return. "Yes, I can tell." She waits for Nebula to pull the covers over them before closing her eyes. "I love you." She softly murmured. Nebula gives her one last look before shutting her eyes as well. "I love you too."
Their bodies fit together perfectly, like a puzzle piece. Each curve and dip aligning with each other. They're perfect in each other's arms, just the way they like it.
