Work Text:
An urgent call to a friend
From the surface to the mantle below
“Holly, I have no intention to offend
But I need your help, please don’t say no”
As a good friend does
She immediately got up to go
“Wait, but what do you need me for though?”
Still laughing she knocked on the door
“Tell anyone and you’re dead”
“Oh, you’ll do no such thing, of that I’m sure
Now what was that you had said?”
A shout from behind him
A small round face
“Hiya Holly!” He tugged on her limb
As she entered the big place
“Hello Beckett, how are you?”
She said, looking up to where his twin stood
“Hello Miles, how are you too?”
Only the blond answered, shouting “We’re good!”
Artemis sighed, helping his brother off her friend
He’d been told to babysit them
Would the terrors ever end?
It’s why he’d called Holly
Asking for her help
She’d probably be better equipped
To take care of the little whelps
She’d laughed when he’d asked her
As he’d guessed she would
A ridiculous request as it were
But he knew she was good
“Artemis I’m hungry!”
“Fine, I’ll make you a snack.”
He looked at the other three
Hoping he didn’t have to ask
Holly held in a laugh
“Oh the horror! Artemis caring for children!
Fear not for I’ll make a sandwich on your behalf.”
And with that her and Beckett ran to the kitchen
The other two following suite
But not before he watched her go
Hiding a smile, discreet
