You aren't ugly

Summary:

During a daily check up, Genji catches sight of himself in a near by mirror, causing him to make the comment that he's 'ugly'. Let's just say... His doctor/girlfriend? Highly disagrees.

Work Text:

Like always; "Please sit down on my table." He does. "Please take off your visor." with great hesitation, he obeys, sliding off the large piece of metal that covered his face and greenish-black hair. She smiles softly, running a gentle hand down his face, leaning forward and kissing him softly. He would kiss her back, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her close. She would softly giggle, breaking the kiss and decided to stay in his strong arms for a little while, just staring and admiring.

After that while, he finally lets go of her, watching her write stuff down on her clipboard, all while looking him over. "Looks good... Need to test your leg reflexes." she muttered. He nods softly. Mercy goes over to her desk and gets out a tool, not like that leg reflex hammer, but a different type. She went down on one knee and wraps the item around Genji's leg and calf. Seeing her on her knee made Genji chuckled. "Oh doctor... Yes I will marry you." he joked. Mercy looks up at Genji with a raised eyebrow, smile and head tilt. "That's your job to ask me that, my love." she said with a giggle.

Genji laughed. "Maybe someday I will, Angela." he said as he kept still. Mercy flushed pink and smiled happily. "I can't wait." she giggled as she turned on the item, standing up. "Alright. You will feel a slight tingle in the metal around your leg, if your leg moves at the same time with the tingle, you're doing wonderfully, if not, then we might have to look more closely at your legs." she said. Genji nods softly, waiting and watching his leg.

The tingle shocked through Genji's leg, making his leg twitch and slightly kick. Angela nodded. "One more." she said. They waited for a few seconds and then the tingle happened again, making Genji's leg kick. Angela nodded again, bending down on one knee to turn off the item and take it off. "Perfect reaction time." she said as she turned her back to put up said item. Genji sighed softly, glancing around Angela's office, his eyes falling on a mirror in the corner.

He blinked softly, his mouth falling into a frown. "I'm so ugly..." he said softly to himself, or so he thought. Angela heard him say this, she turned around and walked over to Genji, running a gentle hand down to his own. "I disagree." she said as she leaned forward to kiss him. Genji glanced at Angela for a moment before laying his head onto her shoulder. Angela smiled sadly, kissing his head. "Genji... You're not ugly... It's not what's on the outside that counts." she said sweetly.

Genji sighed softly, having heard this phrase before. "Yes, I know. But, am I really that good of a person to look beautiful on the inside?" he asked. Angela rubbed Genji's back. "I'd say so. Just look at what you're doing now at Overwatch." she said. Genji simply hummed as he sat up straight. "I guess you're right." he said quietly.

The check up continued, checking his blood, checking his heart, his eyes and lungs, everything seemed fine. Genji got off the table, avoiding the mirror as he stood in front of Angela's desk. "So? How am I, doctor?" he asked. Angela clicked her glasses, finishing her writing. "You seem to be doing beautifully, Genji." she said as she put down her pen and stood up with a stretch. Genji nods softly with a smile. "That's good news." he said. Angela came from around her desk, wrapping her arms around Genji. "Indeed." she said as she leaned up for a kiss.

Genji met her lips, kissing her deeply. His eyes looked up for a moment, seeing his reflection again. He quickly clenched his eyes shut and hugged Mercy close. Mercy blinked open her eyes, feeling her body close to Genji's. "Genji?" she asked concerned. Genji cleared his throat, letting go of her. "I apologize, Angela." he said as he moved away. Angela frowned softly, grabbing Genji's hand and kissing his cheek softly. "My love... Are you still thinking that you're ugly?" she asked.

Genji nods. Angela smiled sadly, bringing Genji close and hugging him. "Genji... What must I do to prove too you that you're not ugly?" she asked. Genji hugged Angela back. "You have been trying to prove it through words, my dear. I appreciate it highly, I do. But... I just cannot get over my face." he said. Angela softly kissed Genji's cheek. "Well... You may think that your scars are hideous, but I personally think that your scars are beautiful." she said, running her fingers gently along the big scar around his left eye.

Genji smiled gently. "Thank you, Angela." he said softly. Angela smiled back, gently pressing her lips on the many scars around his face. "Eye, cheek, nose and lips." she said as she pulls Genji into a deep kiss. Genji kisses back, running his hands down her back. They break apart to breath, but don't leave one another's arms. "And don't think I can forget about the many scars on your body under all that armor." she said as she ran her hands down his chest plate.

Genji let her do so, watching her with lust filled eyes. Angela continued, kissing all the metal she could. "Even thought we are not ready for that big step just yet, I do hope one day you will allow me to treasure every single scar that I see once we undress one another." she whispered softly. Genji's face blushed bright red as he gulped. "O-Of course, my Angela, you may do as you wish." he said, becoming a bit flustered.

Angela giggled as she stood up straight, kissing Genji's bright red cheeks. "You're adorable, my Genji. I love you." she said sweetly. Genji smiled, kissing Angela softly. "And I you, my angel." he said softly. The two stayed close to one another for a while longer before everyone in the Overwatch facility was called out for dinner. Genji had put back on his visor, taking Angela's hand. She smiled at him softly and leaned against him as they walked towards the dining hall, ready to join their friends and family in another dinner time. End.~
