Work Text:

July was an avid stargazer, and tonight was no exception. The radio insisted that everyone stay inside to be safe, but there was no way she was missing that sky, gently grazed by an alien war. Streaks of neon flashed across her sight, lingering and slowly melting away like paint in water. Most all the streaks were going left to right to left, except for a hailstorm of small blue ones that danced around the painting, bursts of flame blossoming in its wake. She was transfixed, even as the dancer caught alight and spiraled downwards to her village behind her.

Notes:

I wrote some drabble in an effort to write more. This is 100% a mecha story but it turns out I couldn't fit vibes and robot detail into 100 words hahaha

editing my word count to hit exactly 100 was a fun and novel challenge :)
