The Shopping Cart (requires a dollar) [HIATUS]

Summary:

This is a kind of redo of "The Grocery List" because I want to make a multi-chapter version of it.
|||
The Grocery Store was always a weird little place, it had a multitude of shopping carts that required dollar bills to move in order to prevent stealing, and the little store had a gothic theme. Like those old Victorian era houses, it made sense with the family, the rumors said. The Necrosis's were creepy.

The workers were all creepy, and seemed to work in sync; everyone who worked there knew each other. And people mysteriously went missing.

There were no "main stream" Grocery stores, Hungry Harvest had kicked them all out, the managers all went missing mysteriously, and life-like mannequins seemed to pop up in there places.

Notes:

Read the tags.

TW: Mention of violence, mention of poison, mention of death, mention of murder, mention of cannibalism, serial killer family, bad bloodline, bloodline curses, occult, sacrifices.

This is a new narration style for me where I'm an narrator who kind of reads you the story, so it might appear messy at some parts. So please tell me how this writing style looks <3Th

Chapter 1: The Necrosis Family History, Terrible Twos, and Family Cooking!

Chapter Text

Now, dear readers, when you open a cookbook, most things in it are not macabre; maybe if you bought a cookbook for good ol' Halloween, you would find something eerie or mysterious. But, most peoples minds never wonder to the deepest, darkest pits of humanity. Yet; one family simply did. They walked the thin line between death, summoning demons with chants, and running a large cultist group in their spare time.

You might turn around and flee now. For the cookbook has opened for all its ghoulish delights, and we are beginning to boil. Pop right in for a history lesson!

The Necrosis family was of high social standing; they were once powerful lord's and ladies', now the current Necrosis heir ran a occult group.

The Necrosis family was well known for its dark side, in 1530 the Lady Matilda had poisoned her husband and five children with arsenic. in 1620 the Lord Andrew Necrosis killed his servants in a fit of rage; only two survived in horrible condition, their eyes were ripped out of their sockets, and their tongues were severed. The two died later because they couldn't eat nor drink. In 1630 the Lady Margret poisoned her husband with a "love" potion, it was really a vial filled with arsenic among other dangerous chemicals Lord Andrew died a few days later, his insides were black. In 1650 Lady Margret's daughter, Lady Annelise, killed Lady Margret with an axe and buried her in the yard. In 1700 Lady Annelise's son, married and later killed his first, second, and third wife, all with an axe. He hacked them to pieces and ate them. He eventually married a final wife; Lady Rosemary, who aided him in his killings. His name is lost in history. In 1740 Lady Violet (of no relation to Lady Rosemary) married into the family, she was from another wealthy and well off family called the Bloodworth's. She killed her husband after getting her first heir.

In 1790 Lord Andrew II burned the family's house down, killing all the servants inside, along with his grandmother. Most of the family escaped, living to endure this terrible cycle another time.

In 1820 Lady Nightshade poisoned her husband, and fourteen loyal servants. She fled and kidnapped her daughter, it was unknown whether or not the Lady Bluebell escaped from Lady Nightshade's clutches. At that point in time, most people had forgotten the Necrosis's tragic line, but they quickly remembered the sins of the family never seem to fade away for long.

The Necrosis family kept the rest of the tragedies well guarded, up until their latest heir was born.

Our pot is boiling, and the plot is thickening. You may be disgusted by the horrors you have read; why did Lady Matilda kill her husband and children? Why did Lord Andrew kill everyone but two servants? Why did Lady Margret need a love potion? Why did Lady Annelise hate her mother enough to hack her with an axe? Why was Lady Annelise's son so horrible?

All questions we may answer in due time.

Some Townsfolk suspected witchcraft; a cursed bloodline, or even a pesky demon that Lady Matilda had summoned. It was far, far more than that, you see.

The Necrosis family was known to practice in the occult; long before Lady Matilda was born.

At first it was harmless things, a young boy practicing spells for his friends; and then it evolved to sacrifices, calling the dead from their resting places. And finally, a demon. It wasn't an ordinary demon you see, it was a demon who thirsted for blood. The demon was nicknamed The Blood God; the God Of Blood, He Who Wore Red, or even The Crimson One.

When a servant first heard of "The Crimson One" he rushed to tell the Lord, and the Lord was quite pleased. A demon would help in his occult practices; make him stronger and more powerful. However; The Crimson One required great sacrifices for any deal, whether it was simply to have a coin or unlimited power; he required the same.

What did he require you may wonder? You may ponder for a small amount of time...It'll reveal, a story with an end.

When the Lord and Lady of the Necrosis house were running out of money, they really had no idea what to do; the sacrifices to their god, a shadow-y lovecraftian creature dried up, they ran out. Why did the sacrifices run out? Well, the servants had stopped coming.

The Lord and Lady needed money for their lifestyle; they needed power, and for that power, they needed a demon. They needed powerful creature of which they could never understand. And that was when a loyal servant had found a hidden book inside a floorboard. They didn't know the exact details, but they were happy to learn about The Crimson One, the one who would give them power; money again. All for a small price.

Their mortality.

Obviously, the Lord and Lady didn't think of the consequences, they thought of the unlimited money. Of the demon performing spells for them.

One night, the Lord, Lady, and three trusted servants were in a close room, around a pentagram. The five were chanting, hands held close together. The words didn't even seem to be a real language; piercing words like hot coals that weren't meant to be spoken.

And as they chanted the words, The Crimson One did appear. He was a terrifying thing, melded by shadows, with twisting horns and arms just too long and yet too short, legs with claws and long sharp talons. He had feathered wings on his back, and terrifyingly twisted horns on the top of his head; and last but not least, he had a face covered by darkness, yet there enough you could make up the poor imitation of a human staring back with red eyes. He stepped off the pentagram, speaking in the words that weren't meant to be spoken; "What do you require?" and to the humans, it sounded like raking hot coals across their ears, a screech never meant to be heard, yet understandable.

"We wish for power and riches, Crimson One." The Lord said, he got off the ground, bowing to the ground.

"And you know my price?" Asked The Red One.

"Yes, me and my wife will give you our bloodline's mortality." The Lord nodded, beckoning his wife to join his bow. She did so.

"Your whole bloodline's mortality...for some wealth and power?" Tutted the Red One, it sounded even worse than the original sound.

"Yes, Crimson One." The Lord said breathily, stopping his wife from speaking.

And the Red One agreed, for mortality of a whole bloodline was a powerful gift.

And that, dear readers, is how our pot began steaming...

Now, you may be wondering, what has all this got to do with our modern...villains? Well, they are of the Necrosis's, born of that blood and wealth.

Their parents ran a large cult, one designed to keep The Red One pleased and happy, however during their time caring for The Red One, they didn't care for their children.

"Wilbur, Technoblade! Mother has a surprise for you!" The twins mother had called, the two running up to the large throne-like room, it was a room that was held for meetings, cordial events, and...sacrifices. Mother held a small bundle in her arms, wrapped in a swaddle, as father walked up to greet the twins. "Boys! You'll be so excited, mother has delivered a baby! You have a baby brother now." Their Father swept them both up with his arm, bringing them close to Mother, her smile was cold and her skin pale and ashen. "Boys! This is Tommy. Your baby brother." Mother said, bringing the bundle down and handing the baby to Wilbur, the baby already had thick curly hair, which was a pale blonde, and bright blue eyes. He didn't look like Mother or Father in any way - not in the way one could at least, and Mother hadn't even had a pregnancy.

Mother had dark brown hair, with toffee colored eyes, whereas Father had black hair with brown eyes. No one in their family had had blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Boys, I want you both to go take care of your little brother, run along now." And then Mother shooed them both with her hand, and Wilbur could see the cultists in the corner move forward if they didn't move. The twins left the room swiftly, the shadowy cloaks always scared them.

Wilbur and Technoblade stared down at the baby, neither really knew what to do with a baby, so they were winging it. They had ordered diapers with Mother's credit card, and baby food with Father's, and then they sat down with old baby toys to play with the baby.

Wilbur and Technoblade eventually got the hang of taking care of a baby, and eventually babyhood changed to toddlerhood; and with toddlerhood came its own troubles.

The Terrible Twos. Something Wilbur and Technoblade were not prepared for; you see, Mother and Father didn't raise the baby, and Technoblade and Wilbur couldn't afford baby books, so they had no idea of this phenomnon.

Eventually, the twins got the hang of what toddlerhood came with; running, squealing, and being angry all the time. Wilbur would watch Moana every day at 3:00 four times to satiate the beast that was Tommy. Technoblade would let the toddler put flowers and braid his hair (albeit, horribly, if I do say so myself. It looked like a rats nest.)

"The tickle monster is going to get you, Tommy!" Wilbur yelled, his hands held out in the tickling motion as he raced forward to catch his younger (stolen) brother, picking him up and tickling him. "AH! NO DON'T EAT ME! WILBUR!" "OW! Don't kick my face!" Wilbur halfway dropped the toddler, watching the toddler run right into...the second tickle monster.

"NOOOO!" The toddler screeched, getting tickled to a fake death as he dramatically fell. As toddlers do, you see, Tommy was a very dramatic toddler, he got it from Wilbur, who was also a dramatic toddler.

Halfway into Tommy's fourth year alive, Mother and Father called the twins (and Tommy) in for a meeting, the meeting was held where Tommy first met the twins, in the throne room. Which was more luxurious than it was then, servants and cultist guards in corners, actual thrones with decaying human skulls hung up by the corner, a red carpet stained with blood leading to Mother and Father.

"I don't like this." Tommy had whispered, holding onto Technoblade's coat tightly with his tiny fingers.

The twins walked on, Tommy's little feet running to catch up. When they reached Mother and Father they bowed from the neck, and Tommy followed as well. "Mother, Father." Wilbur greeted.

"Twins! Tommy!" Mother said, resting her chin on her hand as she leaned to look at them. "My! How you've all grown up, look at you darlings." Her voice was sweet, yet sickening.

"Now, you may be wondering why I- we, called you here, Tommy needs a suitable caregiver...we found a nice place, called Little Sprouts Daycare."

"You can't do that now!" Technoblade interrupted. "Oh yes, I can. I'm his parent."

This is where it gets...slightly gory. Now, you may wonder "Who did it get gory for? Narrator? NARRATOR?" Well, lets just say, a pot doesn't boil without food. And food needs to age...

Technoblade had moved forward, his Mother and Father none the wiser about his intentions. "We just think the daycare is a great place for little Tommy." Mother said, staring down at Technoblade. Technoblade bowed again from the neck, moving an arm to grab one of the decaying skulls. His Mother hadn't noticed him grab it, she was still staring at Wilbur behind him, but Father had noticed Technoblade grab one of the skulls and had gasped. "Rosaline-" Father had tried to save Mother's life, but before he could, Technoblade had moved over, somehow faster than an average human; the skull found its rightful place on Father's skull, cracking the man's skull open. Mother had screamed and Wilbur covered Tommy's ears and eyes. "Technoblade! Stop this at once!" Mother had screamed, but Technoblade brought the skull upon her skull as well, and she crumpled to the floor by Father. A bloody mess the two were.

The cultists in the background didn't do anything, except stare in shock that a child would kill their own parents. However, they did know that they had a new leader, so they helped the new young leader clean up the bodies.

Technoblade turned towards Wilbur and Tommy, he was covered in blood, and the skull he was holding dropped.

"What should we do with the bodies, Wilbur?" and Wilbur had stared at him for a moment, before smiling and saying; "We should cook 'em! 'Good food never goes to waste'." Wilbur said, smiling at his brother.

Wilbur ended up leading Tommy out for that part, before he reentered and helped Technoblade prepare the food - Mother and Father - for cooking.

The servants ended up helping them cook it.

You may think, well, narrator, that's not that surprising in a family where you're cursed not to have any mortality! Well, surprisingly, most Necrosis's do actually like their parents and children! Sure, some murdered each other, but for the most part the family got along. That's why as children (or, young children) the twins could play with Tommy without killing him, or why Mother and Father never killed the twins or Tommy, yes they were very neglectful.

Well, our pot is now boiling with food inside of it...soon it will have lots of food.

Wilbur, Technoblade, and Tommy could safely say they were addicted to human flesh after the first two bodies. Usually it took longer, but The Red One prevailed. The Red One even took a liking to Technoblade after what he did; Technoblade began hearing The Red One and his lackeys in his head, the lackeys were usually "half baked" thoughts however.

Eventually, Wilbur and Technoblade got very busy with the cult, they began running a grocery store too, for more profit, every single person who worked there was a part of the cult. They had "WE ARE HIRING" signs, but wouldn't hire anyone outside of the cult. Wilbur was the head manager, he loved taking care of Karens, too. Karens were great meals. Well, since they ran the Grocery Store (Called "Hungry Harvest") which most locals shopped at, they barely noticed the few Karens who went missing every now and then. The twins were both too busy to actually look after Tommy all day, so they ended up sending him to Little Sprouts, the daycare Mother had suggested.

"It says here they have a playplace, and the owner is a dairy farmer with some other animals, so all the food is fresh and the kids can help play with the animals." Wilbur said, turning to Technoblade as he was googling LittleSproutsDaycare.org [if its an actual link don't click it]. Technoblade nodded, "If all the foods fresh than Tommy's getting the best." "Ooh and they have pet bunnies for the kids!"

Technoblade nodded, "Sounds like a good place for Tommy." And so, Wilbur clicked the "SIGN UP" sheet, inputting Tommy's name, DOB, etc.
