But when an amateur sorcerer's reality warping device blasted him into a different universe, Tim found out just how much worse a parent Bruce Wayne could be.
(Tim gets sent to a universe where Batman is evil and the family is suffering. Being Tim Drake, he does what he does best and tries to fix things.
This may involve child kidnapping, sabotage of multimillion dollar equipment, and at least one jailbreak. Otherwise known as the average Gotham experience.)

“I can turn straw into gold,” a child insists. His face is smeared with dirt, tears dried and sticky on his cheeks, but his iris’ are the color of the sky and his hands are clenched into fists. The other kids laugh at him and kick more dirt up at his small body, sneer, and tear into him with cruel words.
“Gold?” a porcelain smiley-faced figure questions, kneeling before the child and offering out a hand. His face is hidden, his voice is dripping with amusement and greed, but Tommy takes the hand of the first person that has listened since his parents died.
“He can spin straw into gold?” the emperor questions, a great being with wings of smoke and death and eyes as cold as ice. His twin sons laugh like a funny joke has been told, identical pairs of tusks gleaming in the light of the throne room, and a challenge is set.
Three days. A room of straw.
A story that will be spoken about for eons.

Tommy felt like he couldn’t breathe as panic clawed at his ribcage and sunk itself deep into his heart. Surely Dream was kidding? Surely Dream would wheeze out a laugh and jokingly berade Tommy for how scared he looked, say that it was just a joke. “You’re going to TheFirstEmpire. You’re going to become one of Philza’s humans,”
It felt like his whole world had been flipped upside down and mercilessly shook.
Every part of him wanted to believe Dream was lying.. He wanted to beg, plead, get down on his knees and cry for Dream to do something because Tommy didn’t want to leave!He didn’t want to be some dumb peace offering to another coven! He didn’t want to leave Dream, even as mean and cruel as he could be.
