Daredevil Diluc

Summary:

Lumine and Painon have noticed that Diluc climbs on everything. ( Because I know we all love it when our mains just cling onto everything!)

Work Text:

“Diluc!” Lumine called, “What are you doing up there?!”

Paimon crossed her arms with a huff. “Yeah, you’re like a cat or something! Paimon thinks you’ve climbed every tree, cliff and ruin we’ve seen from Mondstadt almost to Liyue city!”

They heard Kaeya chuckle as he stopped next to them. “Diluc has always been like this. When we were younger it was a game to climb the highest trees and buildings.”

“Really? I guess I’m not really that surprised, considering he spends his evenings jumping across the rooftops watching out for troublemakers.” Lumine shrugged.

“Right.” Paimon said, raising a finger into the air “But it’s also really dangerous!”

“Paimon is right. Aside from some minor injuries from climbing, one time Diluc fell off a roof and broke his leg.” Kaeya stared at his brother standing on top of the thin pillar.

Lumine put her hands on her hips. “You’d think it would have put a stop to his climbing habit.”

Kaeya laughed again. “You would think, but he was back to climbing as soon as his leg healed. He’s always been a bit of a daredevil. It drove our father insane.

“Maybe we could get him to stick to only lower trees?” Paimon asked.

They all watched as Diluc climbed back down the pillar, holding their breath just as they did every other time he’d climbed up something.

Lumine called to him. “Diluc, could we talk to you for a moment?”

“Sure.” He nodded, crossing his arms. “What’s on your mind?”

“Well,” Paimon began, “We’re a little worried about you climbing on everything, we really don’t want you to get hurt and Kaeya told us you’ve broken your leg from it before!”

This earned Kaeya a glare. Kaeya only shrugged and grinned, just to annoy the redhead.

Diluc looked back at the others and sighed. “Fine. I’ll try not to climb as much.” He rolled his eyes and continued their journey, hearing the others increase their speed to catch up.

A short way down the road Diluc noticed a very large tree. He was half way up the tree before they could stop him.

“DILUC!” They all yelled.

Diluc just grinned and kept climbing.
