Summary
Steve watches the kids in the lake. Mike splashes Lucas and turns tail to try and wade away before getting tackled into the water. Max and El laugh, arms linked, and giggle something that Steve can’t quite make out. Dustin is standing shin deep and closer to the shore. He has one hand on his hip while the other is flung out toward the wrestling boys.
“He really takes after you, huh?”
Eddie’s voice startles Steve and he rips his eyes away to crane his neck around. Eddie is looking out toward the lake, eyes locked on Dustin.
“Yeah, like mother like son, blah blah blah,” Steve chuckles.
Eddie bites his lip in a smile and holds up his lotion-coated hands. “Yeah, pretty much. Ready to let me get my hands on you?”
“Well, I wouldn’t be opposed to a little begging, but sure,” Steve shrugs, tossing Eddie a look with the tilt of his head and raised eyebrows. Eddie takes a step forward and leans in, lips close to Steve’s ear.
“I don’t beg,” he whispers.
