    Oliver Evans considers his grandmother's cottage on the Llŷn peninsula his last chance of finding permanence. Haunted by the Longing, a restless urge that has taken Olly and his mother as far away as Australia, Olly has never been able to settle anywhere.

    Unfortunately, the Llŷn has other plans. Mysterious men that walk off cliffs and vanish into the clouds, a would-be witch and a curate with with a knack for irritating people are only the start of his problems. The longer Olly stays in Aberdaron, the less certain he is of anything -- least of all the identity of the childhood friend who haunts his memories.
