‘Six students have gone missing’
‘Twelve students have gone missing’
‘Nineteen students have gone missing’
One lone student is standing… well, lying down
Toya Tenma..
The final Tenma sibling standing…. The final member of VBS standing…
First it was Saki going missing nine months ago
Then Tsukasa and Kanade eight months ago
Then Kohane seven, and Akito and An six…
He’s been alone for six months…
Everyone disappeared.. Without a trace….
They were just gone
All of his friends.. His siblings…. Gone… they’re all gone
Toya’s been restless.. Barely sleeping, barely eating… he’s barely been going to school and can’t find the energy to leave his room
A knock on his door snapped Toya out of his thoughts
“Toya, honey, me and your father are going out.. Please be careful.. And please eat something. Your dinner is on the table. I know you aren’t feeling the best hun but please.. Try and eat”
Toya didn’t respond, but instead, he went to open his door, hugging his mom once he saw her. No words were exchanged, just a warm embrace… something Toya really needed in that moment
“I know Toya… it’s hard… we’ll find everyone. I promise,” Toya’s mom gave him a gentle kiss of the cheek before her and her husband went to the front door, waving at Toya as they left
The door locked with a ‘click’ as Toya sighed… he really shouldn’t have been left alone. So many kids his age have been going missing… but he’ll stay safe
He looked over at the table and noticed the plate of food. It wasn’t much but it was enough.. He didn’t plan on eating much anyway, just a few bites and he would go to bed
He sat down in his normal seat for when the family ate dinner… the family
Toya took one bite before dropping the fork on the table.. It made a little ‘clang’ noise, some of the food flying into the table..
He was sick of the silence.. He wanted his siblings… he missed how loud they were.. How lively family dinners were
Six empty chairs stared back at him.. They were saying nothing
Silence…
Normally Toya enjoyed the quiet.. But this time it made him sick to his stomach
Tears came to his eyes, he was upset.. He wanted his family
He stood up so quickly that his chair.. So fast that it fell to the floor.. He didn't bother to pick it up
He ran to his room and threw himself under the covers of his bed.. The comfort of his bed.. He fell asleep slowly.. Thinking about his life.. His siblings… his friends
What he had before this madness started

Toya woke up to the sun blaring, irritating his eyes… that was strange. Toya swore he closed his blinds last night..
He looked up to see the sky? He was outside and… on a mushroom? Okay now nothing makes sense.. This place was so vibrant and colorful.. It was unfamiliar but.. Not exactly unwelcome
“Ah? Oh you’re finally awake little Tenma! A mushroom probably isn’t the most comfortable place to sleep, y’know?”
Toya looked around to see a man standing next to the mushroom… he had a familiar look to him… bright yellow eyes.. A wide grin.. Almost a devilish grin..… purple hair with blue streaks and…. Cat ears?
“Huh? What happen- wait, Rui? Is this another one of your inventions? Where are we?”
Rui chuckled and offered a hand to Toya to help him up from the makeshift mushroom bed
“Surprisingly no! I didn’t do this.. But, welcome to Wonderland!... I guess….No one really knows what exactly this place is or where we really are..”
Toya had so many questions racing through his mind.. Like ‘How did he get here?’ “Why is it called Wonderland?’ ‘ Why are his clothes different?’ ‘Why does Rui have cat ears?’ ‘Why is he here?’
“Okay okay.. I understand that you have a lot of questions, but please just let me explain what’s happening.. Because we seriously need your help.. I swear I’ll answer your questions.. But please, I need your help”
Toya had a confused look on his face, but he nodded and took Rui’s hand to stand up
“Alright… So, we call this place Wonderland, or the WonderSEKAI.. You’re sister, Saki, after falling ill once again.. Her feelings to live a normal life grew so much to the point where.. This place was created. She.. her feelings got so strong to the point where she was able to bring people in here against their will… but she’s like a dictator now, because everyone just wants to leave…. Everyone started calling her the ‘Queen’ because it’s ‘Off with your head!’ if you don’t… everything has just gotten to her head.. Please we need your help…. We need you to try and talk to her because we’re trying our hardest not to hurt her.. Neither Tsukasa or Kanade have been able to get to her.. Please Toya.. you’re our last hope”

“...What?!”
Toya was staring at Rui with wide eyes and he was just in total shock…. Nothing was making sense.. Saki was evil? This place is a SEKAI? What is even happening..?
“I know it’s a lot and it’s really confusing but… please Toya…. People are getting hurt and others are losing hope… they don’t remember anything about life before coming here… I don’t want anything worse to happen to anyone… Please”
Rui was looking at Toya with a pouty face and puppy dog eyes… Toya was trying his hardest not to laugh, he sighed and looked at Rui once again
“Okay… what do you need me to do?”
Rui started jumping up and down at Toya’s answer, “Oh thank you Toya! Come with me, I’ll tell you everything and-”
A loud shout came from an area in the woulds followed by something that sounded like an ‘Off with your head!’
A sigh came from Rui and he grabbed Toya’s hand and ran off into the direction the shout came from.. After about 4 minutes of running, Rui found what he was looking for and ducked into a bush, pulling Toya down with him
“Stay hidden and stay quiet!”
Toya looked concerned but he looked ahead of him and saw 2 familiar blondes… his siblings… Tsukasa and Saki… and a literal walking playing card!
“Saki… please Saki listen to me!”
“No Tsukasa! Don’t you understand?! This is a good thing!”
“Kidnapping people is not a good thing! OW”
The card took a knife and slit Tsukasa’s through, only barely breaking skin.. Still enough for a little blood to spill
Toya almost ran out to tear that damn card in half, Rui had to hold him down
“Tsukasa… I won’t cut your head off your head.. Because you’re my brother… but don’t.. You dare question me again”
Saki walked off, her pigtails and dress flowing behind her.. The card followed after her as well
As soon as Saki was out of sight, Rui jumped out of the bush and to Tsukasa’s side.. Toya followed soon after…
That was when Toya realized Tsukasa had rabbit ears.. It was confusing but he’s learning to not question this world anymore
“Tsukasa!? What did…. What did she do this time?!” Rui pulled out a roll of bandages from his satchel and started taking care of Tsukasa’s neck
“I-I was trying to get through to her again and- TOYA?!”
Tsukasa had a look of shock on his face when he saw his little brother sitting next to Rui
“What… WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!”
“I.. don’t really know.. I went to sleep and woke up on a mushroom… are you okay though? That… looked like it hurt..”
“It’s… it’s fine don't worry….. Wait.. oh no poor.. Mom and Dad…”
“Oh…. oh you’re right”
“Okay you two… we need to get back to the hideout… and let Tsukasa rest.. Come on..”

“Toya honey, we’re home!”
Mr. and Mrs. Tenma came into the house.. And they immediately noticed the dining room light still on.. And the chair on the floor..
“Toya? Oh he must be sleeping”
Mr. Tenma went to pick the chair up.. Then he noticed the food that was splattered on the table..
“Um….Honey.. Toya isn’t one to not throw his food away…”
Mrs. Tenma got concerned for a second.. She rushed over to Toya’s room and opened the door… his bed was perfectly neat…. But no Toya….
“Toya?! TOYA!?”
She began to cry… in the span of 9 months… all 4 of their kids went missing…
