At times Morana had to wonder, if this even had been their own choice. She did no longer believe in gods or fate, but when she was here, next to Striga, she had to wonder, if it had not been fate bringing them together. After all, given they had been born hundreds of miles and more than a millennium apart, it seemed just so unlikely that they would ever meet. And yet they were here, by each other’s side. And it just felt right.
Morana had known it from the first moment, she had seen her. That this woman was meant to be by her side. That she, in turn, was meant to be by Striga’s side as well. It had been a strange form of magnetism drawing her in. Something she was unable to describe. It was more than just love, it was a visceral need. She needed her to be close. Being by her side was a necessity. Kissing her was a necessity.
So, she would kiss her. And hold her. And be held in return. She would feel her and sense her with every sense she had. And she knew, this was right. She knew, she belonged.
