Work Text:
You sighed dramatically, leaning over a bathtub in Julie’s house. (She offered for you two to clean your wings here, as Wally didn’t have a shower nor bathtub. He hates water !!) Jumping slightly as cold water droplets hit the yellowing-white feathers of your dirtied wings.
“I don’t know why you insisted on this,, so what if they were dirty ! It’d be fine,” wally glared up at you. Quickly giving you the reminder that he wouldn’t let you get out of this. After properly soaking your wings, he called out for Julie to grab the shampoo poppy had let him borrow. As much as you loved the motherly bird, you couldn’t help but act betrayed when she agreed that you needed to clean you ‘poor wings !’ In her own words.
Julie popped in and handed Wally the shampoo before skipping to the other side of you, your body partially over the tub as to make sure your wings didn’t let any water into the floor. “It’ll be alright Y/N, Self cares important !” Then she left just as quick as she had came. Slamming the door behind her. You shivered when Wally FINALLY got to actually cleaning your wings. Watching with an annoying look on your face as the water and suds tinted a light brown. Wally snickering a bit “See ? I told you they were dirty ! Oh dear, my most ! You’ve got loose feathers!” Huffing, you spoke; “Yes, yes. You’re right darling., if you’re going to have to full out the feathers though , please be careful.. it hurts, more than you think it does” Wally laughed a bit before continuing to wash out your wings.
The rest of the day Wally spent annoyingly picking at your wings, making sure not to miss any of the loose feathers. That night he let you snuggle him like a plushie, and although he did that usually — It felt Special this time around.
