Diabolus puer

Summary:

Basically, due to Dream messing with the revive-book so much in the past, temporarily stops working when trying to revive Tommy after getting out of Prison.

Due to Tommy being unable to revived, let's just say that the server soon discovers that ghosts aren't the only thing that can linger after somebody dies a third time.

Chapter Text

Tommy was having a good day today, he had just gived Sam Nook the materials to finish building his new bunker as a safety measure against Dream's escape.

Tommy sat by a nice pond with a fishing rod in hand as he waited for the robot to be done with the project, catching fish roughly 45% of the time whenever he felt the fish tug on the string. He currently had caught 5 fish when it began to rain, and light rain it was not.

Disgruntled, Tommy got up from where he was sitting. "Fucking Prime, the one time I try to do something peaceful and it rains!?" He exclaimed.

He crossed his arms as an effort to keep warm in his long red and white sleeved shirt, he began walking along the Prime Path, heading over to where Sam was working when he heard the snapping sound of a stick; Tommy silently prayed that it was only a mob.

When he turned his head to face the noise, all he saw was a frog, upon Tommy looking at it, it let out a ribbit and hopped away. He let out a sigh of relief he didn't know he was holding.

When he looked back, however, he saw a person standing directly across from him.

The person was wearing a bright green sweater, a mask with a black smiley face etched into it, and along with him was the enchanted netherite axe the person had slung over their left shoulder.

The person craned their head to their left side, and gave a short wave with their other hand. "Hey, Tommy."

"..Dream?" Tommy managed to croak out in disbelief.

Dream took a step forward, only for Tommy to stagger back a few steps.

"Now, Tommy, is that any way to greet your friend?" He jestured towards himself with his free hand, as if he was hurt by the words.

"You are NOT my friend, Dream!" He spat out the name as if it were poison, taking a few more steps back.

"C'mon, after everything we've been through? I've only been looking out for you all this time, and this is how you treat me?' Dream let the axe slide off his shoulder, dragging it on the Prime Path as he slowly walked towards the kid.

"Stay- Stay back!" He stuttered out, he took a step back, his heel hitting a near-by stump. When did he get so close to the treeline?

Tommy glanced a look behind him, perhaps he could escape this situation if he lost him in the oak woods. When he turned back, Dream had gotten a few feet closer, and so he decided to risk it and began bolting through the woods.

He could hear the footsteps of his stalker speed up as he steadily got closer and closer to the child. Tommy weaved through the forests and jumped over logs in an attempt to escape the psychopath.

"Oh, Tommy!!" Dream sang as he relentlessly chased the kid deep into the oak forest, rain pelted heavily upon them as they ran.

Eventually Tommy began running out of stamina, and due to his tunneled vision tripped face-first into the muddy ground, vaguely making out an enderpearl that had been thrown in front of him through his muddy vision.

He could hear the footsteps approaching masked in the sound of the downpour, Tommy could feel his adrenaline rising, especially once he felt the red, hot pain in his leg, leaving him immobalised from the shock caused by an arrow stuck behind his knee joint.

He could feel the blood trickle down his leg, and how the blood drained feom his face when he could see Dream's lower half out of the corner of his eye.

Dream proceeded to kneel in front if him, as if to mock him. Tommy wanted to move, he wanted to scream, but he was unable to.

"Say 'hi' to Jschlatt for me, won't you?" Dream said, lifting the axe, and slowly pressing it against his head before lifting it up again.

Tommy's eyes widened as he saw the axe begin to come down onto his skull, and right then did he regain his ability to move again. He began to push himself off the ground, however it was already too late.

Tommy watched with shaky vision as the water that covered the grass mixed with his own blood, before loosing consciousness.

Dream looked at the kid's body before him, putting his now-bloody axe into his inventory and replaced it with a book that glistened with enchantments. This will be the 2nd time he has revived Tommy, and he couldn't wait to see the look on his face when he did.

He stared at the book in his hands, and began chanting the words as the words glowed a bright, luminescent green, however half-way through the process the words flickered back to normal and stopped glowing.

'This is odd....' Dream thought. He tried the chant again, but prior to even saying the first words, Tommy's body began to crumble into dust and desintigrated into the water.

'This has never happened before..' Dream stood up from his current position.

'I'll try again tomorrow.' Dream hesitantly decided, before he began wandering out of the forest- leaving all of Tommy's posessions lying on the floor to despawn.

..Perhaps if he stuck around a bit longer, he would've seen the inky hand that emerged from the ground, collecting all the loot that was neglectfully left behind.

Notes:

This is just the first chapter, as I am quite inexperienced with the art of story-telling, I will hopefully improve my skills in the future- so bare with me until then.
