"Rui! Have you heard about this traveling circus?" One of the maids were speaking with the sorcerer "Hm? No, I haven't. What about them?" "Well! Apparently they're coming here today! Can you believe it!?" Rui looked down, he wasn't really interested in it at all but he had to pretend he did "I'm quite interested in them. So I can't wait to see them."
A few hours later, the traveling circus finally arrived and went to talk to the king, it was very odd though. It was only one person. A boy with blonde hair with it fading to a peach color. He had a loud and confident personality and some people were already dreading the boys arrival now, but Rui was interested in him....maybe he can use him to test out a few experiments?
"Hello there Sir, how are you today?" Rui had asked the boy "Oh! Hello! I'm doing quite fine! I think I remember seeing you next to the king! But I don't think I got your name, can I have it?" "Hm? Oh, of course. My name is Rui Kamishiro, it's a pleasure to meet you." "Haha! Of course it is! My name is Tsukasa Tenma! I'm sure you've already heard it before though!" Rui had smiled at the boy, he sure was loud but had a bright personality, could honestly light up anyone's day! Well....probably besides those maids whispering about him...
Throughout Tsukasa's stay, he easily became friends with Rui and quickly to agree to his experiments and test them out, although some were quite dangerous, he still agreed nonetheless! Rui was charmed by him though, he thought at first that someone may of slipped a love potion in his drink and accidentally saw Tsukasa and fell in love with him, but realized after a while that his heart would beat quite fast around the boy, even faster when holding hands with him, or just being oddly affectionate towards him, which had also caused his face to start heating up, he realized he was in love with his best friend but was scared to confess in case of rejection.
A few months later, it seemed Tsukasa officially made his stay at the kingdom because he didn't go anywhere, which seemed odd. One day Rui was going to the king but overhead the maids "Did you hear that apparently Tsukasa is just alone? Like! He has no circus and no friends!" "Yeah I heard....I also think he's been hanging out with Rui...like actually kissing him and making out!" "Ew. That's just gross, tsukasa will never get the love and attention from rui. After all, he's just a lone jester." "Ahaha! I bet he's never even had a show without people calling him names and-" The maids eventually noticed that Rui was standing there, not happy at all. "Would you like to repeat all you just said to the king? I'm sure he clearly stated to not gossip about people who are good or are respected by the king." "I-" "No? Well, then I suggest you go run off to your actual duty." The maids backed up and immediately ran, Rui sighed and walked around to find Tsukasa, he saw him looking at his hat while sitting next to the lovely pond surrounded by flowers, Rui slowly walked towards him and sat next to him, he didn't want to disturb him really so he looked ahead, it was about to be a sunset...the tree was beautiful but, he looked over to Tsukasa who looked more beautiful than the tree, but he looked upset, Rui didn't speak at all and went to look ahead again until Tsukasa spoke "I'm just a lone jester." "Huh?" "....I'm just a lone jester. I have no circus, nobody even likes me....they constantly call me names, call me ugly, any just anything. Even telling me I should never show my ugly face to the public again." Rui looked at Tsukasa, he looked like he was on the verge of tears while tightly gripping onto his hat "But....but then I met you. You- you changed my entire life. You- you gave my life meaning again! But....I know that you'll leave me like the others. Because- how...." Tsukasa's tears started to fall onto his hat as he started to sob "How- how can anyone- anyone ever like me! I'm- I'm just....some- ugly....blonde boy...who- who doesn't deserve a-any kind of love...." Tsukasa started to cry even more and then Rui hugged him which stopped Tsukasa's tears for a while "I...I like you, Tsukasa. I've always had. You're- you're so beautiful Tsukasa...you made my life change as well, I thought I didn't need any love, but- but I met you....you- you changed that entire thing and made me...I- s-sorry....I shouldn't-" Tsukasa hugged Rui tightly his sobs seem to have continued and Rui didn't say anything else but hugged Tsukasa back, eventually, Tsukasa calmed down and wiped his tears away "I- sorry....for suddenly talking about all....that." "Tsukasa...." Rui placed his hand on Tsukasa's cheek, which slightly alarmed him "You don't have to apologize for talking about your feelings. I want to you to know that I- I will always be here to listen to you. Alright?" Tsukasa's eyes widened but then relaxed, and leaning into Ruis hand on his cheek, Rui eventually realized that he had his hand on Tsukasa's cheek and immediately pulled it away and resting it on his lap "I- s-sorry....I didn't mean to do that! And uhm! Sorry if I made you-" Rui was interrupted when Tsukasa's hand was on his "Don't apologize for that Rui....I- I actually liked it...." Rui was quite shocked but eventually smiled and held hands with Tsukasa. After a while, it was becoming a sunset, Rui figured it was time to head back and rest but Tsukasa just held Ruis hand tighter "T-tsukasa? What's wrong...?" "I- I uhm....can- can I tell you something?" "Huh? Oh, of course!" Rui sat back down next to Tsukasa and waited for him to speak. "I- I have feelings for you. I just! Realized I had these feelings for a while! B-but! You just make me happy! And uhm...I was honestly hoping that you would- uhm...uh-" Tsukasa felt his heart jump a little when Ruis face was extremely close to his, but eventually he realized what it was and closed his eyes, Rui smiled and closed his eyes and eventually kissed Tsukasa, it was quite a perfect moment. The tree made it look nice, but the sunset was just....perfect. Tsukasa and Rui eventually pulled away, and after looking at each other's flustered faces they couldn't help but laugh, they did eventually get up to go back to Ruis room to go to sleep, Tsukasa was quite hesitant on sleeping in ruis bed and insisted that Rui did, but eventually Rui had a good idea and shared the bed with Tsukasa, they both cuddled together and after a tiny kiss and bit of giggling they eventually feel asleep.
A few years later. Tsukasa decided to just play piano for only Rui, since he wanted Rui to only hear it. Turned out Tsukasa wasn't really confident but it didn't bother Rui at all, he still loved his bf- or well, husband. Rui had asked the king if it was okay if he could marry Tsukasa, and to his surprise, the king actually said yes, and Rui immediately thanked him. A few weeks or so after that, Rui had enough money for a ring and got it custom made with a star. He was planning on getting matching wedding rings, where Tsukasa had a star, and Rui had the moon and both the rings had the missing shape where the other ring would fit into place. After a while Rui had propose to Tsukasa and Tsukasa immediately said yes, a few months after that they had gotten married, and now, they're living happily together.
"Rui....I love you so much." "Hehe, I love you so much as well, Tsukasa."
