Summary
Her chest tightens catching sight of her eyes, those mismatched eyes that she swears has haunted her every dream. Her hair is shorter, right above her shoulders and her face seems different - more mature. And maybe she's filled in too perfectly, because Adora has to rethink for a moment.
Her mind must be playing a cruel trick on her.
Adora has her life together - almost. She has her own place, regular meals, great friends, and a well-paying job. But when Catra comes back into her life, all of her progress is put to the test. Their history is complicated and their feelings run deep, but there are scars that run even deeper. Adora knows that she can't lose Catra again, even if it means living in an illusion where neither of them will ever have to face their feelings.
