Wake up.
WAKE UP!
A voice rings in Ren's head. It sounds like young woman's. It sounded so familiar, but he didn't know who it was.
Something is wrong. You are off course to prevent the ruin that awaits you. Something has altered the course of events. Please. Find out why!
Ren sits up on the futon and looks around his room. It looked familiar, but off. His Rise poster wasn't on the wall and the crafting desk was covered in more dust than usual. Morgana wasn't nearby either. Something was strange.
*HEY REN! You up?" A voice yells from downstairs, "Breakfast is ready!"
It sounded like Futaba, but that was strange, usually Sojiro made breakfast, and Futaba was usually in her room at the Sakura residence. "Whatever" he thought, maybe she decided to try and help out.
He put on his shoes and walked down the stairs. They creaked more than usual, the railing was also more faded than he remembered.
"Hey Futaba, what's cooking?"
"Something wrong with your voice Ren, you sound dif---" Futaba says before stopping. Dropping the plate of curry she looks at Ren. That is when Ren notices her too. Taller, hair pulled up, more professional glasses, not to mention older.
"What is wrong with you!" they both yell at each other.
Morgana peaks his head from around the counter and gasps!
"Joker! You're a teen!"
"What do you mean, I've always been a teen. When did you guys get older!"
"Older? You got younger!"
Morgana ran up to Ren and hopped on his shoulder.
"Something seems off to me. He doesn't smell like normal Joker. He smells different.
"Different how Mona?" Futaba asks picking the bits of curry and plate off the ground.
"Like, he's our Joker, but different."
"What do you mean different. I'm still me. We just changed Haru's father's heart yesterday."
Mona and Futaba's eyes lit up.
"I got it! It's time travel!" she screams, "this is so cool!"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, he's our Joker, but from that year we first became the phantom thieves."
"How is that possible Futaba?" Morgana asks, "I don't think any of us have time travel as a power, nor does mementos."
Ren sits down confused. Apparently he's in the future? That would explain all the changes he's noticing. The updates to Leblanc, Futaba and Mona being older, the missing memory, and probably more.
"HEY GUYS! We're here! Get ready to party!" a voice yells from outside.
"Must you announce your arrival so inelegantly." another male voice says scolding the first one.
The door to the restaurant opens and people step in. Ryuji, Yusuke, Ann, Makoto, and Haru. All of them visibly older and more mature. Once they step inside, the finally notice Ren in all his teenage visibility.
"Dude." Ryuji says, "For real?"
