He would’ve never known it would end up like this—he would’ve never known everything in his grasp would soon slip away.
But he can’t deny it. Feng Xin loves Jian Lan more than he loves him. He would sacrifice everything for Jian Lan, but he would never go through all the aches and pains for Mu Qing.
He should’ve expected this. Who was he to be loved anyway? By Feng Xin too. It was all a façade to keep him away from the reality that maybe no one will love him no matter how much love he gives, no matter how much effort he gives.
None of that matters. It never did.
But still, it hurts. It hurts to see him leave. It hurts to see him happy with another. It hurts to see the last person who has loved him go. It hurts to let go of Feng Xin.
