She gave it her all, but all she received was a sore arm from the effort, nothing else, and the wall kept slowly closing in on them.
Although its speed fluctuates and occasionally drops down to zero. It is a fact that their space is slowly but surely shrinking.
In an attempt to prevent anything twisted by the intense pressure from flying out and hitting anything, Jaune gathered everything he could find and stopped them with an iron rack. Jessica
"It's okay, Jessica, it's okay..."
Jaune encouraged, then immediately ran to the wall and pushed the wall hard, desperately using the weak friction under his feet to reduce even a little speed.
The walls were trembling.
Jessica knew she had to pick herself up. She tried her best to project some tools, but none of them took shape.
She tried to be brave, but her heart stopped her.
No, I don't want to be brave, I just want to....
Her mind flashed through her friends.
Bravery will only get you killed.
She let out a whimper of resistance from deep in her throat.
No, she had to find a way out for them, find a way for her and Jauneto survive.
She can't fail.
She tried her best, but only got an arm that was sore from the force, nothing happened, and the wall was approaching them little by little.
Its speed is not constant and sometimes slows down, but it is a fact that their space is gradually getting smaller.
Jaune put everything he could find together and blocked them with an iron rack so that anything deformed by the enormous pressure flew out and hit Jessica
"It's okay, Jessica, it's okay..."
Jaune encouraged, then immediately ran to the wall and pushed the wall hard, desperately using the weak friction under his feet to reduce even a little speed.
Jessica closed her eyes and tried her best again to imagine anything that would be possible to help.
A wall jack. But nothing appeared. Water.... Pool? What was she thinking? There is no water here to fight the stress either!
The result of her holding her breath was simply to almost suffocate herself. When her body automatically chose to breathe a large gulp of air, the dust in the room choked her whole body, and she immediately convulsed and coughed violently.
Seeing this, Jaune immediately rushed to her side, slid over the flying chandelier, and put his hand on her shoulder.
As a warm experience slid by, Jessica's choking stopped. Holding back her tears, she opened her eyes and looked up at Jaune.
What can she do right now to make them free?
"I, I'll try again. She shuddered, hoping this would give Jaune a little comfort.
Jaune didn't say anything, just nodded, then turned around and continued to put himself into that hopeless trying.
"It's okay, I'm sure you can do it." Jaune left his shield to Jessica and placed the sword at his feet.
But they are dying,for real.
She roared angrily at herself in her mind.
She only needs to activate the lantern's ability for once! Just plug herself in! A single zap will allows Jaune to enhance her abilities!
Damn it! Why is there nothing happening!
Debris from the ceiling was no longer her problem, but the wall being fastet, making her feel more and more difficult to breathe, more and more nervous. Anxiety got her body somehow, she barely can't move. Or think.
And the whole wall began to creak and accelerate again after another failed attempt.
"No!" She exclaimed and rushed over to help push up the wall. Jaune carried her away and dodged the flying box fragments. Then put her in the middle of the room.
"Jessica, I need you to concentrate on using your abilities,do not to let anger.... “
A remorseful, sad smile appeared on his face.
"We have to control ourselves."
She turned around angrily, but took two deep breaths and decided not to look at the accelerating wall.
Sitting on the ground, the ability to access this way last time, maybe it can be now. She does need some small sparks.
But she could only hold her legs, waiting for the moment when the wall would crush and kill them.
"I've always felt that Pyrrha she... She died because of me. ”
Jaune's voice came from behind, but sounds so far away.
"We were attacked, and the beacon tower is the key to world communication, and she, as our best student here, decided to stop Cinder's sabotage."
"I was there, but I was... ”
His voice was hoarse, with a slight cry.
"I would only be a burden to her, so she locked me in the ejection locker and made me....alive. It gave me a chance to live, but it took the chance to see the moment when the end of her came.”
"She helped me unlock my Aura and taught me that being brave is not because of being strong, but because of being weak. So I believe you, in the same way. ”
"I'm sure you can do it, you can get us out of here, Jessica."
She covered her head and tried hard to meet her teammates.
What happens if she also becomes a burden and is taken away from the battlefield by her teammates?
If she doesn't do anything.... Will the same thing happen as in the woods?
She was not a child, but the panic was too real now.
Courage exists precisely because of fear.
She has to do it for her teammates.... The same thing happened that day again.
For yourself, no longer live in fear.
After a flash of all-over energy.
Once again, she successfully entered the "real" world.
Jaune's sword and shield were already bent over the wall.
And the whole room is about to go dark, losing the last of its space.
She held out her hand to Jaune.
And he pulled out his weapon in response, smiling and extending his hand to her.
It seemed that he knew she could, always been.
This room is no longer their shackles.
And she doesn't need a ring to channel the energy for this time.
She has a better alternative.
She truly felt the power of the oath, so she shouted it out loud, feeling confidence and self in her and Jaune's hands.
"In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight!Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!"
Pure emerald energy destroyed the room that was trying to crush them to death, decompose it down to ashes.
She had faced this energy to kill them, but she couldn't remember what it was for now.
The two of them breathed in the fresh air in the empty space, feeling the joy spread through their bodies.
They were all too nervous to run for the time being, and Jaune waved his hand jokingly.
"Nah, you know, the aftermath of a catastrophe always makes people reluctant to move. Woo! “
It seems to be cheering himself up with exaggerated words.
Jessica looked at him with a smile and landed about to say something, but a deadly spear came at them instead of her words.
This attack was quickly ejected by Jaune, next thing is protecting Jessica behind him.
"Like I said, you are not allowed.... Go and inform the Justice League. “
Pyrrha's phantom twitched from time to time and rushed towards them.
“Jaune!” Jessica shouted, raising her right hand and preparing for battle.
"If it acquires Pyrrha's powers, then it can manipulate magnetism!"
As soon as they finished speaking, they were all whipped away by iron rods generated out of thin air and scattered in the clearing.
Electron Pyrrha hooked the spear on the ground with her foot, and after aiming with left hand, her right hand jerked the spear towards Jessica again, however because it ignored Jaune's presence and he did not fail to touch it, the spear was deviated by a small inch when it shot, so it only touched the edge of Jessica's temporary projection shield, but it was still too heavy a blow, knocking the shield into shatter, and the force still spam Jessica to the ground.
Then she moves. Kicked Jaune's leg joint to a bend, making him kneel involuntarily, and then a hand knife to Jaune's neck, but failed to kill Jaune as expected, as he grabbed the belt on Pyrrha's body and threw she away.
As if curious about her lethality, Pyrrha got up then glanced at her hand, allow Jaune immediately ran to Jessica and lifted her up.
Jessica's body was still limping from the blow she had just struck, so she had to hold Jaune's arm.
"We . . "
"We can't run away together." Jaune smiled wryly and shook his head. "That's Pyrrha."
He raised his shield and drew his sword, protecting Jessica behind him.
"You go inform your teammates and I'll try you stall for time,I knew some of her move."
Jessica looked at Jaune's side face, looking at the empty field where she didn't yet know the way out.
Pyrrha seemed to twitch even harder than last time for no reason, giving them a temporary respite.
She gently put her hand on his hand and held the sword with him. This made her feel a warmth in her heart.
"I won't run, I'm not going to let you face her be alone."
She re-entered the Lantern state, but cautiously clings to Jaune's body and hides behind him to avoid receiving such a heavy shot again.
Pyrrha quickly recovered from herself, and created countless iron spear inserted into the walls in the space.
This makes anyone think of the creepy iron virgin.
"Green Lantern, I've weakened you as much as possible, why don't you obediently make it easy and nice for me?"
"Hey! This girl doesn't belong to you! Shut up! “
Jaune charged to Pyrrha, and Jessica flew straight behind him.
The first strike came from the face height with the spear, and Jaune easily raised his shield to block it, and stabbed his sword along the bottom of his shield, while Pyrrha took a step back, turned and gracefully withdrew her spear, and swept the edge of spear to Jaune's waist.
Jessica jumped from his shield and created a Clark's hammer to smash Pyrrha, which once again forced Pyrrha to change her posture, retreat sharply, while put the spear away and make it close to her body, and then stab it from the bottom up towards the highest priority target.
Jaune's shield had reached her eyes, which stopped that lethal attack, compressed Pyrrha's space, forcing her to withdraw. Yet, she step on the shield, jumping up to avoid Jessica's chopper wave, and jumping over it using the metal shoetoe to give Jessica a sharp sweep on the stomach, directly knocking her out temporarily.
As soon as she kicked, she aimed her gun-shaped weapon at Jaune's head and pulled the trigger, leaving the range of the his sword and forcing him to raise his shield to defend.
After landing, she immediately rushed towards Jessica, who was still unconscious on the ground, Jaune stabbed a sword from her after light as response. She immediately slid on her back and knelt on the ground, revealing a flaw for Jaune to attack, but Jaune chose to grab her ponytail and pull her away from Jessica.
"Pyrrha is important to me, but that doesn't mean I'll watch my friends die again."
He immediately crouched down next to Jessica and stared at Pyrrha while treating her.
The electronic Pyrrha only adjusted slightly, turned the spear, and immediately rushed towards them again.
Jaune had to roll around on the ground with Jessica in his arms, injecting a large amount of energy into Jessica, hoping that she would wake up.
This soon worked, and after dodging theiron box that Pyrrha had thrown, he heard a soft voice in his arms.
"Jaune?"
Jessica was half-open her eyes, not yet fully awake.
Jaune let out a brief sigh of relief and began to analyze the environment.
Why haven't they been poked into a sieve by spears yet?
This Pyrrha can't manipulate magnetism? Or is it just a limited degree?
In such an emergency, it should not be possible to kill them immediately.
Pyrrha convulsed briefly, then immediately returned to normal.
The battle continues.
