YIPEE!
And now. Adamai-
As you flipped a page of your book, You sighed to yourself, Enjoying the Quiet Crackle of the Flames, and the Warm smell of Your Warm Gobball-Wool Blanket, Shifting into it further. You yawned, Hearing a knock at the door, you Reluctantly Removed Yourself from the Blanket, and Walked to the door, Shuffling your Socks on the Hardwood floor. You opened the door and looked up slightly Into the eyes of one very Awkward-appearing Dragon.”Ah, Hello Adamai.” You said, rubbing an eye tiredly.
Adamai Managed an Awkward Expression.” Hello, Erm, Were you sleeping?” you shook your head. “No, Just Reading By the Fire. Would you like to come in?” He nodded, looking away. You Carefully Grasp his hand in yours, Leading him into the house. “I was just Reading on the couch, would you like to sit beside me?” You asked. He nodded, looking away partially. I quietly led him to the couch, and Grabbed your blankets in one arm, patting the couch cushion with your other hand. He sat down stiffly, as she flopped down Beside him, and Threw a blanket around his shoulders, wrapping the other end around Yourself.
You could feel Him stiffen slightly, but Quickly Relax, one arm curling around you as you snuggled into his side, picking your book back up. “You Know, I always wondered how you’re always so warm, but still act like you’re Frigid half the time.” You murmured, flipping a page of your book. You felt him shrug, and turned, Craning your head to carefully place a kiss on his Jawline.
You looked up and saw him Freeze partially, the tips of his ears turning red, as he looked back down at you, before quietly Wrapping both arms around you, pulling you into his lap so he could quietly Wrap himself around you. You let out a giggle and flipped a page in your book, Eyes scanning the words of the Novel.
You felt His eyes looking at the pages as well, and Felt his breath against your neck “.. What are you reading?” He said quietly. “It’s a Novel I found in the Library, It’s a wonderful read.” You murmured. He nodded quietly.
There was a moment of comfortable silence Before you spoke. “The Rain sounds lovely.” You said, flipping a page of your book, as he carefully rested his head atop yours. “It does.” He agreed, Then Added, “The Rain Doesn’t Compare to Your Beauty, though.” And you Giggled “You flirt!” He chuckled, and you could feel it in his chest. “I know.” He murmured lowly.
There were a few moments that passed, with the only sounds being of Rain, The Crackling of The Fireplace, and The occasional page being flipped. Your Felt one of Adamai’s hands Remove itself from your Torso, To place it onto a Blanket. “This is soft... Where did you get it? “ He said, Voice small. “ It was a Trader In Emelka, Who tried to Offer it to me for 85 Kamas. “ You said, giggling at the memory of the shriveled Merchant, who tried to scam you out of all the kamas you had. “He said It was Made with Royal Gobball fur, But I ended up Fact checking him so often in his story he just tried to sell me it. I still Haggled him down to 50, but purely because he was getting desperate and I needed a Blanket,” you said, Smiling to yourself. “I remember when I first got it, I thought it was Horrid, But I couldn’t get rid of it, because well, I just spent almost half my Kamas on it.”
Adamai let out a chuckle. “Well, what convinced you to keep it, then?” He asked. “I learned that they just needed to be broken in, after a few nights it got pretty soft, and I kind of never let it go, from My wandering Enripsa days. It’s a nice reminder of the memories, all the friends I made, and the Adventures I got to have,” you murmured, before pausing as thunder rumbled peacefully. “That’s a Story, for sure.” He said quietly. You nodded slightly, before pausing, as you heard a slight rumbling noise. You listened, only to find the source was the Sleepy, and very Happy Adamai, Behind you.
You Burst out into little giggles, Surprising him slightly. “You- you purr?” You continued out through giggles. Who knew, The big Bad Dragon Adamai, purred like a Sleepy Snoofle? He let out a chuckle, which quickly faded into laughter with your own. “Oh, I’ll give you a Real Reason to laugh!” He chuckled, moving his hands to your sides. You let out a gasp as he Began Tickling you, and began Weakly flailing to get away, laughing. You finally flopped onto the couch, away from him “My goodness!” you gasped, trying to catch your breath through all the little giggles that still Erupted. He let out a laugh, and you let out a mock gasp. “How DARE you mock me, The Royal Pharmacist!” At that statement, he began to laugh Harder.
At this point, I couldn’t help but laugh with him. As our giggles calmed down, I Grasped the blanket once again, and Resumed My spot By his side, Inhaling the scent of Warm Blanket. “You Know, I love the Rain... But I think I love you more, to be honest.” You said honestly, and Felt place a gentle kiss atop your head “Honestly, I was gonna say the same thing.” you smile, and titled your head upward, placing a peck on his cheek (which took some difficulty, but you did it, bc ur amazing, Obvi.) He smiled and tilted his head down to place a peck on your lips, causing you to giggle, once more.
Rainy Days like these were perfect. Just... Perfect.
