The 118 are defending their championship title in the friendly LAFD baseball league. As the team's self-proclaimed superstar, Buck expected it to be a walk in the park because he was confident they would win again this season as the best team in the league. But everything changes when he learns that the 136 has hired a new firefighter to join their team.
After an unexpected and shocking result against Firefighter Eddie Diaz, Buck is less than impressed that they may have competition this year. It only gets worse when Eddie becomes a constant presence in his mind that he can never get rid off. And the lines between jealousy, hatred, and attraction become blurred as they grow closer together both inside and outside of the game.
