Gathering the toys left scattered by Manone after having watched over the now 8 year old girl. As she bends down to pick up her Chat Noir doll she catches a glimpse of black as if just picking up something related to that cat would summon him, she motions for Tiki to hide right as Chat taps on her window.
“Come in kitty!” She calls up to him as she goes to grab a chat noir themed onesie and mask
“While you change I’ll grab some cheese for Plagg and some pastries for us,” she placed the clothes in his hands and went downstairs to the bakery. As she passes through the bakery door in the kitchen she places up the discreet cat sign her parents asked to be up whenever Chat was over. Marinette walked toward the pastries left over from the day before she grabs a variety of items alongside some passion fruit macaroons she now had a habit of keeping them stocked up after finding out two of her favorite people shared that as a favorite flavor. She also made sure to grab 2 pieces of gooey goodness of camembert to make sure the kwami maybe didn't interrupt them.
She first spots her kwami as she flies into the room and right towards the bowl of chouguettes and grabs a small piece from the top.
“ I’ve done my job Kittens changed now give me some cheese,” brash as always Plagg flew straight into her face arms out, she stick the piece out for him and he grabs and swallows it whole.
“You can wait for the second piece til we are back upstairs, now Tiki go rest in your spot while Plagg and I head up,"
Chat is sitting criss-cross on a green blanket whacking the Chat Noir doll with the plush tail attached below where the stuffed pole goes which he currently had in his hand ready for attack. “My my kitten is that anyways to treat a Hero of Paris?” even though he didn't have his cat ears currently I could tell her perked up from the way his body turned to face me and an eager grin spread from cheek to cheek jumping up and rushing to her side he tackles her exclaiming.
“That was no hero of Paris I was protecting Mama Mari from Copycat, I had defeated him right as you walked in too! Did I do good Mama?” The first time Chat had called her Mama was shocking but after a bit of talking through it she realized she was okay with it He didn't have the best home life though he wouldn't elaborate much on it but if he felt safe with her she would provide him a safe nurturing space, and though Tiki was originally against it even she could see how much chat benefited from this and just told her to be safe with her identity.
“Well then thank you for saving me my lil kitten now I know you still are not being fed enough so please eat a bit of a snack and then we can do one of the activities I have planned for us today.” the aforementioned food was scatted like the toys from earlier after he had tackled her
“What kind of activities do you have planned?” He questioned stuffing a Paris-Brest into his mouth and having cream cover the surrounding area of his mouth she grabs some tissues off her desk and wipes his face off clean.
“Well I have three ideas one is we do a small version of Floor is Lave with some counting bears, we could watch Up and make the ballon house after, or read Elmer and the Rainbow and make some suncatchers.” He thinks about it for a second seeming caught up in a tough battle between what to do. “ we can do the other ones another time to kitten,” with that his decision seemed to have been made.
“The sun catcher sounds fun but who is Elmer Mama?” Chat asked her innocently a little wide eyed but still just excited for a story.
“Well, Elmer is an elephant who is very colorful but wants to fit in with all the other gray elephants” Marinette walks over to her bookshelf and grabs a book with a patchwork elephant on the front, and sits and begins reading to him. She did her best to sound different for each creature and it was fun listening to her “ So if you happen to see an ordinary, gray elephant that day you will know it must be Elmer! The elephants now decorate themselves on that day to celebrate…” chat had tears dripping down his face “awe kitten did it make you cry?”
“It was a beautiful ending Mama I like that the elephants like to decorate themselves colorful now!” He tears left a light trail down his face but his smile on his face told her he was of course having fun. She walked over to her desk, grabbed a piece of construction paper, a pair of scissors, a few different colors of tissue paper, and some glue. She sat beside Chat and started drawing out the elephant's outline.
“Do you want to make the elephant sun catcher now kitten?” The only response she got back was a frantic nod of his head while he got up on his knees
“What do I need to do Mama?”
“We’ll I gotta cut out the outline and then the peices of colored tissue so just be a little patient then we can started.” After a few minutes of cutting Marinette had in front of Chat an outline of an elephant on a silicone surface glue in a small bowl a paint brush and tissue paper squares in a pile. “ we are gonna start on the outside and work our way into the middle once we done we will wait for it to dry and then glue on the eye and ear,” she handed him a brush and watched as Chat decorated the elephant in green and black. As she expected he was doing a chat noir themed elephant
“ All done Mama Mari! What do I do while we wait?” As enthusiastic as always Chat was ready for the next thing.
“While it dries we can play some games or what a show or anything else you want to do?” He pounders it for a moment.
“ could we watch the aristocats?” He seemed hesitant to ask but when he saw her smile and nod he knew it was okay.
“ Let me grab my laptop and we’ll be good to go!” For the next hour her and chat watched the aristocats with chat growling every time the butler was on screen of course. “ Well the sun catcher should be dry kitten ready to finish it?”
“ Ready Mama” he grabs her hand and leads her back to his suncatcher. Mari grabs a Googly eye, some green string, and the ear she cut earlier and goes to finish off his piece.
“ Thank you for this Mama,” he pecks her check and leaves with his suncatcher in hand. He takes the fastest way he know home and arrives back in his room where with a smile he hangs up his new elephant on his window with some of the other crafts he had done with her.
