The war was over. Everyone had never felt such relief until that moment. After Luz beat Belos and all of Belos’s gunk was being evaporated, Raine, Eda, and King emerged from the dead goo.
When the two looked at each other after that moment, they realized: it was over. All they could do was smile.
Stomping on Belos with satisfaction, going home as Raine conked out from everything while Eda can comfortably cuddle with them like how she used to when they were together.
Even as one by one others coming in the house, Raine and Eda would go back to each other like if they were scared to lose each other again, which stayed like that for a good while.
A good couple months have passed and things slowly took its steps to being normal again.
The coven systems immediately getting banned and destroyed, Raine with Darius and the others working on a hospital to help others and remove sigils, and Eda even making a Wild Magic college!
Things were looking up hill, and not saying things went down hill, but things definitely took a turn when Eda started getting sick. Or thought she was sick?
Cause you see, Eda’s been throwing up every morning, eating crazy food combinations, her body has been aching, and a little more moody lately. Eda was certain that maybe her curse was acting up, but she didn’t wanna admit that it’s likely not since her curse has been tame lately.
It’s been a whole month, and Eda is still throwing up every morning. Raine comes in the restroom, holding Eda’s growing hair back a little. “Eda, it’s been a whole month. I don’t think it’s your curse. If this is a sickness, it should be checked up on.”
Eda was done feeling sick, she decided to admit it, something’s wrong and she’s gotta know. She spits out some spit as she uses a towel to wipe her face. She groans. “Alright alright, I’ll go to the hospital..”
Raine rubs her back. “I know you don’t like healers, but things are different now. You don’t have to be afraid of them anymore.” Raine smiles. Eda couldn’t help but smile back.
Raine’s right, things aren’t like the past anymore, Eda was still a little scared but she felt less scared knowing Raine will be with her and the healers could be different.
They made the appointment, but sadly since things are still getting things done (a war just happened after all) they had to wait for a day or two until they can check on Eda.
Eda would stay in her nest most of the time from feeling too sick. Even when she wanted to start working on her college, she would feel too weak to do so. Her body aching, she would feel like she’d need to throw up if she got up, and has felt sleepy and nothing but sleepy.
Raine is sitting beside the nest, rubbing Eda’s back. “I’m assuming you’re still not better?”
Eda just shake her head. Raine huffs sadly. They put their hand on Eda’s forehead to feel it hot. That’s when the door opens to reveal Luz and King!
Luz holding some foods and a couple other items like a cold patch, thermometer, towel, water, and even apple blood juice boxes.
King holding blankets, a pillow, and a cute little stuff animal being a doggy with a normal eye and the other being a button, the colors being light brown with white spots randomly across the fur of the plush, and looks similar to his old plush: Francois.
“Hey guys!” Luz greets. The two kids walk towards Raine and Eda. “We brought some stuff hoping you’ll feel better.”
Eda slowly but surely turns around to face the kids and rubs her eyes. Eda couldn't help but chuckle. “You kiddos didn’t have to do this?” She smiles.
”But we have to!” King and Luz sit down next to Eda. “You’re feeling really bad so we wanted to make you feel better.” King states.
King then throws the blankets on the bed and gives Eda a nice pillow. “I brought some blankets and a pillow!”
Luz puts down her stuff as well. “I brought you some of your favorite snacks from both the boiling isles and the human realm, some medicine, if you get hot then I have some cold patches and a towel to wet, some water for you to drink and even some apple blood!”
King gets on the bed as he’s holding the little doggy plush he has. “I brought you someone to make you feel better.” King hands her the plush. “You can hug him when you feel lonely, or cold, he can even comfort you when you’re throwing up or your tummy hurts.”
Eda felt a little emotional with King’s precious behavior about this. He’s never seen Eda like this before so he’s feeling a bit protective of his Mom right now.
Eda happily takes the dog plush. “Thanks, kiddo. What’s his name?”
”Buddy!”
Eda pets King’s head. “I really appreciate it. You kids are great.” Eda thanks.
“Oh, Raine.” Luz says. “My Mom’s here too. She actually wants to talk to you.”
Raine raises an eyebrow confused. “Really? Alright.” Raine gets up and heads downstairs.
They look to see Camila in the living room with Vee, who’s in her basilisk form. “Raine!” Camilla happy says.
“Hi, Camila. I didn’t know you wanted to talk with me.” Raine admits nervously, their hand on their neck.
“Cause I needed two things from you. The first one being that Vee needs to eat some magic, do you have anything for her to eat?”
“Oh, yeah! Owlbert and Fiddlesticks could take you to some magic.” Raine points at the hallway door, likely towards where Eda and their’s palisman’s are at.
Vee going towards that direction. “Thanks!”
Camila has her hands together with a concerned face. “And the other thing is Eda. I’ve heard that she’s been sick for a whole month.”
Raine’s face showed worry as well. “She’s been so sick; it’s been scaring the kids and I.”
“How long has this been going on?”
“A month.”
“And what exactly are her symptoms?”
Raine then remembers that Camila is a doctor, not for humans, but for animals, but they thought that maybe she could figure out what’s wrong with Eda. Especially since she’s rambled about how Luz use to get sick all the time and easily.
“She’s been throwing up every morning and sometimes after eating something. And her eating habits have been bad, she’ll eat horrible combinations and would eat too much sometimes, craving foods, she’ll have horrible body aches and only wants to sleep.”
Camila has her hand on her chin. “Hmmm… these symptoms remind of when…” Camila stops in her tracks, having a shocked look on her face.
Raine’s face became a little worried, even their tone of voice showed it when they asked Camila: “What? What is it?”
It reminds me of when I was pregnant with Luz..
Camila bends her wrist with a nervous smile. “N-No, i-it’s not possible…” she looks away. “At least I don’t think so?”
Raine became desperate. “B-But, what? What is it? At this point anything you have could be helpful to help Eda feel better.”
“Yeeeeah, she likely won’t feel better until 9 months from now…” Camila whispers.
“W-What?”
Camila sighs. “Uh, Raine… Have you and Eda been busy?”
“Busy? In what way?” They ask, suspiciously.
“Like… ya know… busy with one another?”
Raine was gonna ask but their face becomes red realizing what she meant. Oh no… she’s asking those questions that doctors ask…
“I-I mean… yeah, ever since I moved in a couple months ago. But not all the time.” Raine admits.
“I’m sorry if I’m embarrassing you but… the symptoms and with you and Eda being busy - I think I know what’s wrong. And I could bring back something to confirm it.” Camila insists.
Raine started putting pieces together. “I-Is… she?”
“I think Eda’s pregnant.”
Raine felt something in their chest. They don’t think it’s bad but, they felt so many emotions crashing on them that they didn’t know how to react.
“Raine?” Camila worriedly calls. “Are you okay?”
Raine didn’t want to get too excited right now, so they calmed themselves down. It’s not official yet. “Y-Yeah, just shocked is all. What’s the thing that can confirm this?”
“I don’t know if you have this in your world. But in our world, we have a stick that is used to show if you’re pregnant or not.” Camila explains.
“No, we don’t. We have healers to help us with that. A spell mostly.” Raine states.
“I’ll be back, Raine. I recommend telling Eda so when I come back with the test she won’t be startled about the news.” Camila walks off to the door.
Raine’s hand was shaky. Am I really gonna be a parent?
They’re not against this, not at all. Heck, Eda and Raine have mentioned this baby stuff before, and Lilith teases the two about it when she saw the hickey’s on the two’s neck one day knowing exactly how they got it.
“I hope you two prepare yourselves for the pregnancy soon!”
Who knew Lilith would be the one to jinx it.
Raine takes a deep breath in before opening the door to see Luz, King, and Eda talking amongst themselves and eating the snacks.
“I’m glad you’re eating.” Raine says. Eda hadn’t ate all day, only having a small little snack in the morning but threw up after that, so her stomach has been empty.
“I have to. They brought the good snacks.” Eda states.
“Um, Luz, King, can you go to the living room, please? Camila is going to come back with something for Eda. So when she’s hear you could tell her where we’re at. I need to talk to Eda; alone.”
Luz and King get up. They were a little confused with what Camila is coming back with and why Raine needed to talk to Eda privately and not with them around, but they obeyed Raine’s words.
Once the door was shut, Raine sits on the edge of the nest, next to Eda. “What’s up, Rainestorm?” Eda asks.
Raine became a little nervous as they grab Eda’s hand. “Eda… you know how… sometimes on our dates, it would end up with… you and I…”
Eda raises an eyebrow. “What? Our hot sessions?” Eda finishes, she has a small grin but her cheeks were pink from her remembering those nights.
Raine’s cheeks also red remembering, as they have their hand to their neck. “Y-Yeah, those nights… um… Camila asked if we were active on that, and since we have been for a couple months now. Camila might suspect that you’re… pregnant.”
Eda’s eyes widened hearing pregnant. She was a little speechless and her mind had to comprehend on what Raine just said.
“Pre… pregnant?” Eda felt that same feeling that Raine felt in their chest earlier. She put her hand on her stomach.
“Camila’s bringing a test that could help us know if it’s true or not. She suggested I should tell you, and… I also wanted to ask, if you’re okay with this?”
Eda looks at Raine. “Okay with what?”
“Keeping it. Cause if not—”
Eda stops Raine by covering their mouth. “Don’t finish that. Rainestorm, I’ve been wanting this.”
Raine grabs Eda’s hand. “Really?” Their eyes showed a sparkle. Eda smiles. “Yeah, ever since you and I had that talk about wanting kids… it’s all that was ever on my mind for months.”
Raine rubs her hand with their thumb. “Why didn’t you tell me about your thoughts?”
Eda looks to the side. “Honestly? I don’t know… maybe I was scared? We just got back together, I thought it would be rushing.”
Raine couldn’t help but laugh. “Rush? Eda, we’ve known each other since Hexside and we were dating years after that. It’s not rushing, it’s us catching up on lost time. If I didn’t break up with you, maybe we could of had kids years ago.”
Raine looks down at Eda’s stomach. “I broke your heart years ago, sometimes I think I wouldn’t deserve this…”
Eda was shocked hearing those words out of Raine’s mouth. “Raine, don’t say that! Out of everyone in the world, you’re the only one I could ever want kids with.” She pulls them closer to her face. “We didn’t marry cause we don’t need marriage to show each other that. Our kids don’t have to show that either, but I’m glad we have something like this coming in our lives.”
The two have a chuckle. Raine goes for a hug but since Eda had pulled them closer already, they accidentally push Eda backwards as they land on top of her. The two blush.
“Hey, be careful! I’ve got a baby in my stomach.” Eda playfully says, making Raine chuckle.
Raine couldn’t help but kiss Eda’s stomach, making her a blushing mess.
Soon enough, the door to Eda’s room gets a knock. Eda and Raine both sitting up as they look at the door. “Camila?” Eda calls.
The door opens revealing the woman herself; holding a bag. “Eda.” She closes the door behind her. “I’m sure Raine told you?”
Eda nods with a soft smile. “Yeah, they told me.” Camila kneels next to her; her face having that worried look. “If you’re worried about me, don’t. I’m actually hoping for your test to be positive.”
Camila smiles happily. “Estoy tan emocionada!” She grabs the pregnancy test that’s in a box and hands it to Eda. “If you want, I could help you since this is more of a human thing.” Camila looks at Raine. “Raine, I recommend you tell the kids this since Eda’s gonna be a little busy.”
Raine makes it to the living room to see Luz, King, Vee, and Hooty in the living room together, eating some of the snacks that Luz brought. “Raine! What did my Mom bring?” Luz asks.
Raine chuckles nervously. “Heh.. uh, she brought a test…”
She raises her eyebrow. “A test?”
King has his hands to his hips. “What kind of test?” He then gasps. “Is it for Eda’s sickness?”
Raine scratches their neck. “Yeah, but the thing is, it might not be a sickness.”
“Then what is it?” Vee asks.
“Well, I told Camila Eda’s symptoms and she brought a test to see if Eda’s pregnant.”
Immediately, the kids reacted to Raine saying: pregnant. Their faces became shocked with Hooty dropping his jaw and the kids dropping their snacks.
“Pregnant?!” Luz screams.
“Wait, like.. Eda’s growing a baby? In her stomach?” King questions, rubbing his belly.
“Yeah, but it’s not official until the test says so. She’s taking it right now.” Raine explains.
“How long does it take to say the answer?” King asks.
“Since it’s our human test, probably about 5 to 6 minutes.” Luz answers.
King jumps into Raine’s arms. “Am I going to become a big brother?”
“If she’s pregnant, yes!”
King throws his hands on the air. “Yes! I’m no longer little!”
“King, you’re still little.” Luz teases.
“Quiet you!” King jumps at Luz as she yells in fright. The others just laughing at them.
Soon enough, Eda and Camila come in the living room. Raine turning to face her with Vee, King, Luz, and Hooty immediately giving Eda their full attention.
Eda smiles as she hands Raine the stick. The stick showing two lines. “It’s two lines. That means Eda’s pregnant!”
Raine’s immediate reaction was to smile. And that’s all they could do as they look at the positive test.
“Oh my Titan, it’s happening! It’s true!” Luz grabs King as they spin around happily.
Eda and Raine hug tightly with Raine digging their face into Eda’s neck. And the two wanted to stay like that forever.
“Congratulations you two!” Camila says.
The next day, they decided to tell their friends about their special news.
Lilith, Steve, Darius, Eberwolf, Katya, Amber, Derwin and Luz invited her friends as well, all came to the owl house for the surprise.
“Edalyn, Raine, this is quite unexpected. Did something big happen?” Lilith asks.
“I don’t think you know just how big!” King states.
Amber gasps. “Are you both getting married?”
“No.” The two immediately said, blankly.
Amber crossed her arms as she huffs.
“Then why are we here?” Darius asks.
“Aw come on, Darius. Don’t you want to know that I’m pregnant?”
Silence fills the air.
“W-Wait, Edalyn, what did you say?” Lilith asks.
“Lilith, you’re the one who jinxed it in the first place.” Raine teases.
“How long have you been pregnant?” Darius asks.
“Its been over a month.” Eda answers.
“Holy Titan, you’re pregnant!” Katya yells, standing up from the seat she was on.
During the months, it was a little hard for Eda, after all she had never been pregnant before and wasn’t use to this feeling.
Luckily, she has Raine by her side. Every night, since they found out, they would sleep on her stomach. Eda loved it, cause everytime she looked down she would see Raine cuddled against her stomach and she gets to play with their hair.
Raine was always there for her, when she was sad, they would make her feel better, when she’s sick, they would help her even if it’s just pulling her hair back or making her a drink - and Raine has even been a bit protective of Eda.
They didn’t want her stressing, so they helped planned out the college, they didn’t want her walking too much, and constantly making sure Eda’s feeling okay.
Cause Eda had told Raine one day that she felt like she was gonna faint, they rushed to get her to the hospital, and they told the two it’s a normal feeling anyone gets when pregnant, so its nothing to worry about.
But even with the doctors telling the two Eda and the baby are okay, Raine still constantly makes sure Eda’s okay.
And when the baby kicked for the first time, all Raine and Eda wanted to do was feel the baby kicking.
“Here Buddy, feel my little siblings kick!” King puts his plush Buddy’s paws on Eda’s growing stomach.
King even feeling the kick as they giggle happily feeling the weird but nice feeling.
“It’s really weird… how there’s an actual living thing inside of your stomach.” King states.
Eda puts her hand over Raine’s that’s still on her stomach. She looks at them with a soft gaze and smile. “I know.”
And the day had come! Eda went through lots of laboring tasks to give birth to her and Raine’s baby, but she made it.
During those painful hours all she could do was scream in pain and nearly crush Raine’s hand when cursing angrily.
But when she heard those cries all she could do was have tears flow down her face.
Raine’s smile was huge when they saw their little baby crying in the doctors arms.
”She made it! A beautiful healthy baby girl!” The doctor says.
She hands Eda the baby as Raine gets close to Eda to see their daughter close up.
The baby has mint green hair and medium skin, she looked exactly like Raine.
Eda pushes her head against Raine’s face as they caress their daughters face. “She looks just like you!”
Raine’s expression looked shocked. “Look!”
The baby started to open her eyes showing she had Eda’s golden eyes.
“She has your eyes.”
The doctor walks towards them as she cleans up the newborn with a towel. “So, have you thought about any names?”
Raine and Eda look at each other and smile. “Yeah, we’re going to name her: Aria.”

“Aria is such a pretty name!” Luz compliments.
Raine is holding Aria in their arms as Eda is getting a bottle of milk prepared for her.
“She looks so much like you, Raine.” Lilith says. Her eyes glued to Aria completely.
“At least that shows she’s yours.” Darius jokes.
“Ha ha.” Raine replies.
Eda comes back with the milk and sits next to Raine. “I don’t think she’s hungry?” Luz questions.
”Meh, I made this in case she does. She’s usually hungry at this time.” Eda states, looking at the clock.
King stands on the couch’s armrest and looks at his little sister who’s sleeping peacefully in Raine’s arms.
That’s when Eda takes out Buddy, King’s doggy plush that she was given. “Is that Buddy?” King asks.
“Yup!” Eda puts Buddy on Aria, who opens her arms and hugs Buddy. “And she loves him.”
King’s eyes shine as though he might cry.
“I decided to give Aria Buddy. I know you probably would of given him to her if you didn’t give him to me. So…” Eda shrugs. “It’s your little present to your new little sister.”
Eda rests her head on Raine’s shoulder as everyone talks amongst themselves about Aria.
All was well.
