Thirteen sighs softly as she checked the candle's, every flames either grew bright or dimmed but one flame she dreaded of taking. One candle she refused too touch but sadly enough she couldn't ignore it after all she was a reaper a friend to someone. She had too go see MC their flame flickered but dimmed down they're slowly dying and she didn't want too, MC was her friend a good one at that even though humans don't live long yet she prepared herself of this day to come yet she was hurt by this.
"come on Thirteen, let's get this over with besides....You let their flame go out and there hurting...."she said sadly and took in a deep breathe and exhaled shakily. Now wasn't the time too cry she needed to do her job and it didn't matter if the brothers or even the loser Solomon got in her way.
She put on her cloak and took MC candle after all when the it goes out their soul is trapped in the smoke. She took in a deep breath leaving her cave before heading towards the demon lord castle, it wasn't fun she didn't want too take her friend soul. She hated how humans were very fragile and easily get hurt she seen so many of it. As she walked through the forest too the castle her mind started to wonder of all the times she had with Mc and their goofy adventures with the brothers.
"Can't believe their job was therapist, nanny and babysitter...."She chuckled softly and looked at their candle before she blinked a few times too stop the tears. She couldn't believe she was going to cry for a human, and she reaped so many of them since humans easily died.
There were countless times were she watch the flames flicked out quickly since humans killing one another, they drowning, die in a fire, anything and everything she witness all the souls she took were humans and it was easy because she didn't care about any of them their sins were there own actions and mistakes and nothing she couldn't do.
"MC...Please I'm not sure you can hear me through the candle....I-I'm coming too get you okay..."Thirteen explained talking to the candle, maybe MC could hear her talk to the candle after all some people do hear other reapers speak too the candles after all even though she thinks that it was stupid.
Yet this was different MC worked hard were they came from and honestly MC was my strong than anyone ever yet it felt so wrong taking a friend soul. She knows everyone will be there waiting for her and it wasn't fair she didn't want too take a friend soul, but she was a friend.
Thirteen had to slow down her pace as he took in a few more deep breaths and looked up trying not too cry, her job was suppose to be easy and yet this was so hard she didn't want too do it she would rather have another reaper do it but this was different. If she didn't do this the brothers and maybe the demon lord will go feral if anyone goes close too them so she had to do it, she just needed to get her emotions in order she had a job too do and her job was too make sure her friend was comfortable.
"deep breaths Thirteen just deep breaths..."She mumbled and continued her way, she decided to take the long way besides she wanted the brothers and even the angels to get in their good byes as he cradled the candle close too her. It the least thing she could do is for everyone to say their goodbye's too them.
As she continued to walk through the forest on her was too the castle she sighed softly and looked at the flame flickering a bit for it's last life just barely hanging on by a thread. "You know MC we went on wild adventure you and I even though it was the brothers doing it was fun. Every moment with you was fun....I...Just tell the others to be prepared since I'm coming over. I don't want them kicking me out even though you know they'll probably do it "she chuckled a bit sadly talking to the candle.
Thirteen seemed a bit surprised when the flame brighten up a bit as if it was laughing so MC could defiantly hear her which was good at least MC knew she was coming and honestly it made her smile softly since she realised they were listening to the stories that they did together. Yet it's possible that MC knows she didn't want to take their soul but was allowing her too take her time.
"Hey MC...Thank you for being a dear friend but personally it would be better in person wouldn't it."She chuckled softly and looked up a bit once she realised she was very close to the demon lord castle. It made her quiet concern since this wasn't the first time this has happened were loved ones gathered around and blamed her as well as others for taking a soul and it never bothered her but this...this was very different.
Once she arrived at the castle she just stood in front of the door not even budging or even knocking not even opening it. It felt like she was glued in place cause if she opened that door the lirtale hell will break through with screams cries and cursing...She took sighed softly and pushed the door open.

Once inside she jumped when she saw Barbatos holding a tray of tea as he shakes it softly in in his arms even though he kept a cool calm look it showed he wanted too break down. "O-Oh Thirteen a-are you here for...."he looked down he knew she was here for MC but just didn't want to say it.
Thirteen looked at him and sighs"Yes I am....I don't want to do this you know...."she explained softly too him as she held the candle close to her watching the flame flicker from time to time.
"I...You know I can see the past,present, and future yet the out come is always the same....I can't cheat you no matter how many times I want them here....alive...."Barbatos explained with calm voice but the sadness was there he wanted to find away to make sure MC didn't die not on his watch.
"I-It feels like I failed you"he whispered at last part to her as he looked down holding the tray watching the tea shake with his trembles.
Thirteen sighs softly and looked away"I...I don't want too do this either.....yet..."she couldn't finished her what she wanted to say she held the life of a dear friend, but mainly a partner. "I don't even know what to say, MC had a huge impact on all of us you know"she chuckled softly.
Barbatos nodded and smiled softly"MC was quiet the charmer had everyone wrapped around their finger and yet even though we were hesitant they were a wonderful partner too everyone"he explained softly. He was wrong though when MC said they wanted to date everyone not everyone was too keen on sharing with MC but it worked out in the end.
Thirteen chuckled softly at that and smiled."No one was happy about that yet it all worked out in the end..."she explained but stopped smiling when she said that last part.
Barbatos could only nodded before taking in a deep breath before looking at her"Come with me I guess MC been waiting for someone, they've been saying a friend is coming and honestly you're that friend"he explained as he walked up the stairs but stopped waiting for Thirteen to fallow him too where MC's room was.
Thirteen just swallowed that lump in her throat and only nodded as he fallowed him up stairs heading to the room, everything was quiet expect for the sound of the flame flickering from time to time and the sound of her own heart beat racing against her chest.
Once they arrived at the Mc's room Thirteen did the same thing before she entered the demon lord castle she just stood there not too far from the door but still this wasn't something she was prepared to do. She heard one of the brothers begging MC to hang on and not to give up their life away but what broke her heart was when she heard a muffled cry and only one person could cry like that was Luke.
She turned her head towards Barbatos and got mad at him "Why is Luke here!? why is he here knowing damn well that MC is...."she bit her tongue and took in a deep breath and sighed softly. She knew MC treated Luke like a son but even though Luke hated it he very much enjoyed it in secret yet why was he here?
Barbatos gave her a sad and apologetic smile "Luke wanted to be here, he told everyone he was a grown angle by now and yet.....We had to respect his wishes and none of them know that-"he was soon cut off by thirteen who seemed to know what he was about to say too her.
"They don't even know I'm here for them....."She said looking at the door. Probably only Barbatos and Diavolo know about her arrival too collect MC soul and the others didn't she looked down at the candle speaking softly to it."I'm here MC just give me a few minutes to prepare myself okay"she smiled softly blinking a few tears away that were forming.
Barbatos watched Thirteen as he gave her a sad smile. "I'll....I'll give you some space Thirteen....I'll even prepare some rooms too for everyone...since...You know.... cause I don't think anyone will have the energy for any of this"he explained and headed inside MC's room with out the other's noticing that Thirteen arrived.
Thirteen looked up as she tried so hard not too cry, this wasn't suppose to be hard and yet it was. She loved MC with all of her heart and yet they were dying yet she couldn't do anything about it, she wanted too cry but grim reaper's weren't supposed to cry she didn't want to cause more grief if she cried since the other would have begged her not too take their life."MC...this is so messed up you know....I love you so much and so does the others..."she said talking to the candle.
The candle flickered and dim slightly but heard a soft laughter as MC spoke something muffled saying "Just get in here you dummy"
Thirteen took in a deep breath and entered the room, as she entered there before her stood. Diavolo, Barbatos ,Lucifer,Mammon,Levi,Beel ,Belphie ,Asmo ,Solomon, Simeon ,and lastly Luke whom all turned there heads and looked at her with some pitty and others anger.

Thirteen walked over too where MC was as she sat down on a near by chair and set the candle the the nightstand next too MC."Hey...."was all she could have manage and looked away from them, this was so hard and yet she couldn't do it she could't kill the flame on the candle.
"Hey....All she said was Hey..."Mammon laughed as tears rolled down his face. "MC IS DYING AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS SAY HEY!!!"He yelled already in his demon form as he grabbed one of teas that Barbatos made and smashed it against the wall as he fell on his knee's looking down as he sobbed his heart out.
Lucifer kneeled down and hugged Mammon holding him close as his own tears rolled down his face."I know.....I know....."was all Lucifer could manage.
Thirteen looked down as she held MC hand softly feeling down little less warmth there was left. "I-MC..I wish...I can't...I-I don't...."She could find the words but she just broke out into a sob crying. She couldn't do it this was way too hard for her, she was mentally prepared for this and yet she wasn't, now she's crying in front of everyone. She is suppose to be a reaper and feeling nothing when taking a life so why does this hurt so much, she just cried even harder as she felt MC squeezed what little strength they had left.
"It's okay Thirteen...."MC said calmly smiling softly at her.
"But it isn't okay! How would we all live without you!!!"Belphie yelled out as he hugged onto Beel sobbing his heart out while Beel did the same thing. Asmo just left the room sobbing heavily "I-I can't be in here, I-I can't watch MC die..."Asmo sobbed leaving the room.
Levi on the other hand just wasn't saying anything he looked down as he threw on his hoodie and just hugged Mammon and sobbed against him tightly in which Mammon hugged him back just holding Levi close to him rubbing his back only muttering "MC can't die....."
Thirteen soon calmed herself down and noticed that Satan just got up and storm out of the room and started trashing whatever was outside screaming and yelling which made Solomon walked out fallowing Satan in an attempt to calm him down or warn Asmo about Satan tyrant moment. She wasn't so sure but all the brother affect by this even Solomon and Simeon.
Luke looked at Thirteen and whimpered softly as tears rolled down his face"Thirteen can you help MC?"he asked her softly he didn't want too lose them.
Thirteen just looked down not sure whether or not she could tell him the truth"I...Luke listen....I "she looked at MC frail body and looked away as more tears rolled down her face. "I don't think I can....."she said to him softly. Luke only stared at her before storming out of the room"I-I'm gonna bake some cakes"he said leaving the room.
Simeon looked at Thirteen and gave a sad smile"I-I'll go talk to him okay...."he said before fallowing Luke leaving to go after him too keep him company. Now the rest who remained in the room were her, the twins, Lucifer,Diavolo,Mammon,Levi, and Barbatos. only 8 stayed with MC who was dying only 8 people, Thirteen couldn't blame the others since this wasn't the first time this has happened. She seen families walk out on loved ones who died because it's so painful being there.
MC chuckled weakly and smiled softly" Hey now everything we'll be fine besides I had a good life with all of you "they explained calmly feeling at peace with themselves.
"No no no not yet MC you're candle has been blown out yet and there's still time you know"Thirteen explained sadly as more tears build up, as she checked the candle as a small flame kept flickering weakly as it slowly dim's for a a moment before brightening up again.
"You know it would be nice to have the other in here you know but grief is very strong so please Diavolo, Barbs can you bring the others in?"Mc asked them calmly as they closed their eyes still breathing but it was shallowed.
Diavolo only nodded and kept on a smile on his face but Thirteen knew that look she seen it so many times the ones who are happy are the most affect by it and when MC's candle get blown out..... The Devildom will be in a basket of darkness for a few thousand years before he becomes his old self again but a part of him will be broken and Thirteen knows that since she seen people break when a loved on is gone and this was taking a toll on him and she knows it.
Diavolo just smiled even more as his tears were puffy from crying a lot he looked at Barbatos "Please gather the other, I think MC would like the company of the others around them"he explained to him before looking down a bit. Barbatos just nodded and bowed as he went to retrieve the others so MC could know that they loved all of them.
"Thank you Dia and Thirteen I'll be okay you besides You'll make sure my soul goes with ease right?"They joked with her. MC made a joke to a grim reaper of all people and it made her smile but only for a moment before she sighed again.
"MC your such a dense human you know that, making a joke like toward death "Thirteen explained sadly as she wipes away her tears and watched the candle flame before small but still hanging on a bit of life they still had left in them.

Soon Barbatos returned with the other as Asmo just looked down a bit hugging Solomon crying a bit not wanting MC to go away just not now."T-This isn't fair how come it isn't fair Solomon"he whimpered sadly hugging him close as Solomon rubbed his back slowly.
"Shhh I know Asmo....I know..."Solomon said as his own tears rolled down his face as he looked at MC on there deathbed.
Luke just looked down as he was covered in flour and batter since he was stress baking holding Simeon and Barbatos hands looking down as he sniffled a bit from crying his little heart out. Now for Satan he just leaned against the wall angrily in his demon form clearly pissed off as he wipes away his tears aggressively.
With everyone now back in the room Thirteen wipes away her tears and looked at MC sadly before taking in a deep breath "You know everyone will hate me if I burn out you're candle you know"she explained sadly to them. She wasn't lying though there were a few times were witches,demons or whoever saw her blamed her or lost there shit at her but couldn't do anything since she did hold there soul's by a simple flame of a candle. Yet she wouldn't blame the others for hating her since after they all love MC.
MC smiled softly and nods"They won't I made sure they promise me before you snuff out the candle that you have a job too do and...it won't be easy but I'm glad it's you doing it since you're my beautiful reaper and a wonderful friend since I love you and all of you. I'm very thankful for being in everyone lives even though it was a rocky start again I'm very happy for meeting all of you"they explained calmly closing there eyes tiredly still holding Thirteen hand.
Thirteen just closed her eyes and kissed MC forehead as tears rolled down her face"s-shut up you idiot....You're making this harder for everyone"she explained and took their candle and watch the flame slowly dim out as the little bit of life is in it.
As she held the candle in her hands she looked at the others too see if they will stop her or if they have any last words to say for MC"You guys do know this is going to be hard for me too right?"she said calmly not even being in a snippy mood since her heart was breaking in front of the person she loved.
"W-we understand Thirteen just make it quick"Lucifer said as he covered his face with his hands shaking a bit trying so hard not too cry in front of his brothers since he needs to be there rock.
Before Thirteen was about too snuff out the candle MC spoke out for a moment and smiled softly"Hey it's okay, I love every single on of you guys okay. Maybe in the text life I'll see you again I love you all "MC smiled softly and looked at Thirteen giving her a soft nod for her too snuff out the candle.
With that Thirteen just snuffed the flame with just her fingers and just like that air air of MC was finally gone as the smoke from the flame swirl around the room before leaving the castle as MC colour drained from there body as everything was quiet.
It hurt thirteen that she was the one who had too snuff out the candle she got up from the chair and just collapsed as she just broke crying heavily as she covered her face just heaving with guilt and grief but froze when she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her.
"I Know thirteen...I-I know"Solomon sobbed against her. This was the very first time he was touching her in a comforting way since she never liked him but as of right now none of that matter everyone cries echoed throughout the palace besides a funeral will be held for MC.
For now MC soul will be staying in her cave just going through memory lane until either their soul decide's on what they want too be but in the end now it was a sad day for the Devildom and usually the Devildom doesn't host funeral's but MC will be an exception.
Soon more arms wrapped around her as everyone sobbed for MC this day will be so horrible but in the end it was what there little sheep wanted. For now MC's soul will be in her cave yet she'll be so lonely since she would be very distance. Today was indeed a dark day in the Devildom indeed, since someone so important in all of the three realms will be affect by MC actions it will a dark day for everyone all humans,demons and angels.
