It had been an accident.
It wasn't like Maina had planned on interacting with her biggest fan/secret crush on twitter, she followed her there with an anonymous account just to see her posts, read what she thought, maybe see the occasional pic she posted.
But that day, her hand slipped and she ended up liking one of Eripiyo’s twitter after a concert. Her first instinct was to undo the action, but before that happened, a notification appeared that Eripiyo had followed her.
And less than a minute later she got a private message from her saying:
Hello!
Her heart started beating fast when she saw that message. Maina took a deep breath trying to calm down, Eripyo had no way of knowing it was her, the account didn't have her name.
Theoretically as an idol she couldn't interact with her fans in this way, but here was an opportunity to talk to Eripiyo without her shyness getting in the way too much.
With her heart still racing, she typed:
Hi
I saw that you liked some posts related to Cham Jam, are you by any chance a Maina fan?
This was a rather tricky question, but knowing what was likely to keep Eripiyo in the conversation, she typed:
Yes
YESSSSSS I was hoping that to be the case when I followed you!
I hope we can be friends since we are both fans of Maina XD
Unfortunately there aren't that many of us
What doesn't make any sense because she's the cutest
Not just in Cham Jam but in the whole world
She was particularly adorable on today's concert, did you see her?
I usually don't go to the concerts, I live far away
She felt a little guilty about the lie and typed:
I'm sorry
You don't need to say you’re sorry!
I know not everyone can come every week and I'm sure Maina understands too
she is so sweet
I know many idols have a different persona from real life, but she really is an angel
So did you have fun at today's show?
Yes! A lot! Every day I can see Maina is a good day
As I mentioned she was so adorable and her choreography was perfect!
Soon she will surpass Yumeri as the best dancer in the group.
There was no way that could be true, but still it made Maina smile.
Am I talking too much?
No, I like your enthusiasm
And after a moment's hesitation she added:
It's very cute
Awwww thank you!
I know that sometimes I'm too intense and it scares others
I'm the type who can't really like something without showing it
If you go to the shows you will usually see me there in the front row screaming Maina's name
Sometimes I'm afraid that Maina thinks I'm scary too
I'm sure she's grateful to see you there in the audience.
And I think it's very brave to express your passions so openly.
I wish I could be more like you
Eripiyo didn't respond immediately this time. Maina looked at her cell phone for about thirty seconds when Eripiyo replied:
Thank you
I mean it
I really needed to hear that
Maina's fans really are the best people in the world!
Maina looked at the screen for a few seconds before replying:
Yes they are.
