In the opening to Welcome Home, Wally would open the front door to Home and greet you with that happy puppet smile of his.
He’d beckon you to follow him and give you a tour around the whole neighborhood, waving hello to each cast of characters one by one as they were going about their day.
Julie would be playing hopscotch while Frank read a book, Sally visiting Poppy and putting on a performance, and Eddie would be having a friendly conversation with Barnaby and Howdy at the store.
But the Wally standing before you now, in front of Home’s left window with his arms behind his back, is not at all like that puppet.
