Chapter Text
Luz drove down the street on her motorcycle
It was a full black one that was only a few years old with a license plate that said ‘OWLLADY’ across it.
She normally preferred her car but given her new role as a bounty hunter this felt like a good time to use it.
Also being on it made her feel nostalgic as she remembered its previous owner
But she couldn’t dwell on that as she came up to her destination
As her first job as a hunter she was given information on a known drug dealer who might be living in this part of LA.
She parked in front of a house that she had a feeling this man was hiding. After spending most of her time in hell she knew how they think so it wasn’t hard to find this place.
The devil got off the bike and took off her helmet. Not that she needed it but she knew tired of cops pulling her over. Even if she did always convince them not to give her tickets.
Luz walked up to the house and knocked on the door. Soon a man poked his head through the door with a chain lock on it
“Hello there, I’m here to put an end to your drug dealing.” The devil said, calmly with a smile
The man looked confused
“What…? I don’t know-“
“Look I don’t have time to drag this out I have a therapy session later.”
She pushed the door in, breaking the chain, before walking inside
“HEY… YOU CAN’T COME IN MY HOUSE…” the man yelled
Luz ignored him, walked through his house and went down to his basement where she saw what looked like a meth lab.
She smiled
“Well well well… what do we hav-'' she couldn’t finish her sentence as something was bashed over her head
She looked behind her to see the man with a face of shock, holding a broken wooden bat.
Before he could say anything she grabbed his arms, put them behind his back and held him against the wall with one hand. With her free hand she called a number on her phone.
“Yeah hi police precinct, this is Luz Clawthorne. I got that dealer you told me to find.”

“So you are the devil.” Willow stated, sitting in her chair, clipboard in hand
“Correct doctor.” Luz responded “I mean the devil is just one thing I’ve been called over the centuries. There’s also the queen of demons, Satan, and the lady of hell. I went by the name Lucia for a bit, just wanted to try it out. The serpent, I like that one in particular because my old staff was a snake. But those are all in the past, these days I’m just Luz Clawthorne.”
“And you left Hell to start your new life in Los Angeles, correct?”
“Yeah, that’s what I did.”
As they spoke Luz thought Willow was a little too calm
She narrowed her eyes in suspicion
“You don’t seem that bothered by me being the princess of darkness.”
“I’m willing to go along with your metaphor.” Dr Park clarified
Luz relaxed slightly
“Metaphor… right…”
‘It’s probably for the best that she thinks that. At least for now.’
Creatures of divinity were not allowed to reveal themselves to humanity. While Luz considered herself a rule breaker she also didn’t feel a need to show her horns off to every person she met.
“So when you first came to me the other night you said you had some issues to work through. Care to tell me more about that?”
Luz took a moment to think of a good place to start
“Well for one thing if you recall Detective Blight wasn’t affected by me the same way you are.” She noticed the blush form on Willow's face “That’s never happened to me before and I don’t know what to do about it.”
Willow cleared her throat and fixing her glasses before giving an answer
“It… sounds like this detective is just different from the other people in your life. If you want to know why she’s different maybe you should just learn more about her, spend time with her. Maybe then you can get your answers.”
‘That does make the most sense.’ Luz thought
Willow looked at her watch and then stood from her chair
“We can discuss this more next time.” She stated, unbuttoning the green blazer she was currently wearing
Knowing where this was leading Luz also got up
“Ok, a deal is a deal.” She did taking her shirt off

Amity sat on her couch, reading over a case file when a familiar young voice got her attention
“Mom… what are you doing?” Mal asked
Amity saw her daughter walk up and sit next to her
“Just something for work, sweetie.”
“I thought you couldn’t work until your injury was completely healed?” The young girl questioned
Amity put a hand on her stomach, wincing a tiny bit
‘Getting better though.’
“I’m healed enough.” She told her daughter “You should go get ready for when mommy picks you up.”
Mal ran back to her room and a moment later Amity heard the doorbell
“Hm… she’s here early.” She whispered, before standing up and walking to the door
When opened her eyes went wide at who was on the other side
“Hola Detective.” Luz greeted with enthusiasm
