Just a quick story I thought up! Will be posting more often hopefully!

Chapter Text

Ganondorf snapped, “I’m not letting you get hurt, or Goddesses-forbid, killed. The captain needs to hear my concerns.”

“I’m not backing down, not while innocent people are dying,” Link shot back,

“There’s no other way to catch Caloh Soci. Like you said, there’s no physical evidence linking him to the crime. Not to mention the only surviving victim is too scared to speak out,” Link sighed, “I fit the victim profile: young blond Hylian male. And he’s never seen me. It makes all the sense in the world to send me.”

Before the Gerudo man objected again, he saw the stubbornness in Link’s almond-shaped, azure eyes. Whenever the Hylian man got that look, Gan knew not to get in his way any further. If Gan took it further and got Link taken off the case for safety reasons, he would definitely get Link’s silent treatment for a while and loss of the benefits their secret relationship had provided. Just the thought gave the Gerudo man indigestion.

Ganondorf sighed, “Fine. But we’ll have to fill out paperwork and get the captain to authorize it.”

“That’s fine. Captain Rhoam owes me a favor anyway. I’m sure he’ll agree.” Link responded, walking out of their office, “Come on.”

The two men walked to the captain’s office, Gan begrudgingly so as he silently prayed to the goddesses that the old fart would see the severity of the situation and remove his diminutive partner from the case.

“That sounds like a great idea.” Rhoam exclaimed jovially, “Just make sure you keep me up to speed if there’s any difficulty.”

Link nodded while Ganondorf cursed the goddesses for ignoring his pleas.

If Link gets hurt, I’ll kill him…

“How do I look?”

The blond detective spun around. He was wearing a form-fitting white t-shirt, black leather jacket, and tight black leather pants.

“Positively victim-like.” Gan rolled his eyes.

“Will you lighten up? You act as though I can’t take care of myself, Gan,” Link huffed, “I’m trained in combat and have a black belt.”

“It doesn’t matter. If this sadistic, perverted bastard is able to subdue you while you’re in a vulnerable position it’s all over.” The older man responded, “You’ll be in his clutches. He’ll do whatever he wants to you against your will.”

“I’m not letting him incapacitate me, Gan. How gullible do you think I am?” Link’s face flushed red in anger, “It’s as though you think I’m a weakling. Why, because I’m shorter than average?”

“Your height has nothing to do with anything.” The Gerudo detective shot back, “Don’t put words in my mouth. I never called you a weakling.”

“Then don’t act like I am,” Link responded, “I’ve done undercover missions before. Let me do my job. Give me a chance.”

The older detective sighed, “Fine. But if anything happens to you, I swear to the Sand Goddess that this foul creature will end up under the jail.”

Link nodded, “Of course. I would do the same if anything happened to you.”

Ganondorf prayed that night that the Hylian would end the mission alive.
