Law was the luckliest woman in the word.

She was engaged to the most wholesome man in the world, that could made her smile every time, when she saw him.

Right now the brunette was chossing the wedding dress, with the help of her female friends.

Law was never a fan of dresses and with such an important choice, help for Nami, Ikkaku and Robin was very welcome.

The woman looked at herself in the mirrow, while trying on an dress.

She couldn't help herself and smile.

But earlier her life wasn't always so colorful and carefree for her.

Law was involed with Donquixote family and to be more specific she was the infamous surgeon of death.

The brunette was an assassin and surgeon. She was one of the best in the mafia.

The woman always did her job, no matter how difficult it was or sounded impossible. It didn't matter if she liked it or not.

She had to do it. 

There was never other option.

Law could never be free from the Doflamingo and the brunette knew it well.

She could never run away from her past, because the woman knew that he would always find and finish her and everyone in her life.

There was already too many loved ones who died because of her. There was too much blood on her hands. It was simply too late to turn back.

There was no way for 'normal' and 'happy' life for her.

So she gave up.

Law was unconditionally obedient to the Joker.

She gave up on her life and just did as she was told.

Trafalgar as an assassin was very important to the 'family'. She got only the most important jobs, so she rarely had any murder contracts. Maybe about one to three orders per year.

So of course the brunette had other job in which she worked.

Law was one of the best surgeons in the Grand Line Hospital. She had met there wonderfull people that she could call friends.

Law could say that they were her crew.

They always made sure that she eat something in work, were making jokes and cheered her up in her miserable life.

But of course Joker couldn't leave her even there.

Since Doflamingo thought that it was a good oportunity to have a member of his mafia as a doctor. Law had also the obligation to treat his employees and provide them with an alibi.

Her life was miserable.

Wake up. Drink coffee. Go to work. Try to forget about how misserable you are and about your lost freedom.

So that's how her life looked like.

It was simple. Not complicated. 

You could say that focused only on the work in her life and nothing more.

But then one day a troublemaker firefighter showed up on her operating table.

His name was Monkey D. Luffy and he was both the best and the worst patient she had ever had.

He was a short brunet. A few years younger than her. A man with a lot of energy, weird questions and great appetite.

Also the most irresponsible idiot that she had ever meet.

At first the brunette couldn't stand him at all.

Luffy was annoying. He didn't listen to anyone no matter what and even if it cused his own health.

Moreover he always took her time, by asking weird questions (not about medicine or his phisicaly state) and just wanted her to acompany him.

Even though she told him not to bother her. He hadn't listened at all and just made her stay by his side.

Somehow by this time their relationship started changed between them.

The doctor started to like this irresponsible boy.

She laughed at his jokes and listened to his stories.

They eat together at lunch.

And somehow they developed feelings towards each other way more than just friendship.

One day the younger man asked her out. That day Law almost chocked on her coffee.

The woman still remembers how her heart started beating faster, as she had heard that.

But still she refused. First of all because doctors couldn't date their patiences. Secondly becuase she couldn't put this innocent boy into her 'dirty' and dangerous life.

Luffy deserved better.

But that didn't stop the brunet from giving up and as fast as he became her 'ex-patient' he tried again.

The brunette this time had agreed, due to her coworkers persuasion and his stubbornness.

Law thought that it would be only one date thing.

She thought that maybe during this time together he would finally realise that they were totaly diffrent from each other and it wouldn't work out.

Law thought that that date would be miserable and Luffy would give up on her.

Oh wrong she was-

In this way this one date turned into dating and more.

Luffy gave her so much love and care to her life. 

The morning coffee. Small talk. Holding hands. The soft kisses on the check. Waking up in a warm embrace. The bright smile every day. The laugh. Made her smile, laugh.

She had never felt so alive, until she met him.

And right now she couldn't help herself, but smile at her reflection in wedding dress. 

She couldn't be happier and nothing couldn't ruin this moment.

But then suddenly she heard a notification from her phone. The brunette took her phone form her bag and as soon as she saw the message her smile disappeared immediately.

So nothing in this world could lasts forever..

"Something's wrong Traffy?" Suddenly the red-haired woman asked, taking her out of her thoughts.

"Just work." The surgeon with a tired smile.

"Seriously?? Couldn't they find better time!?" Ikkaku said in annoyance.

"Yeah." She agreed. "But can't help it." Law said simply while shrugging her shoulders. "It's not like I decide it." The brunette said while undressing herself and changing into her previous clothes. 

"Let's hope it won't last long." The other woman said.

"I hope."

The brunette stand in the room with a neutral expression on her face.

Whatever job Doflamingo had for her in was better it was safer by not showing her emotions.

The woman stood at attention in his office impatiently awaiting his order, while the blond man tapped his fingers on the table incessantly.

"I have new mission for you." Suddenly the Donquixote said after a while of silence with a smile on his face.

"I can only assume." Law answered dryly.

"Oh how cleaver of you.." The blond said with a hint of sarcasm. "Tell me Law.." He started slowly. "Have you heard of the Straw hat's grupe?" The man said with irritation.

The infamous Straw Hat's.

The newest group in the mafia market, but with great achievements in a short period of time.

With dangerous weapons, members and the boss whose identity was unknown for everyone.

But the most important fact was that they were pissing off Doflamingo.

At least for Law.

And everything that was making Donquixote's life worse she liked.

The Straw Hat's recently were making enemies in Donquixote's family as well as remove his dealers and drugs from the environment and getting ride of his people without any troubles.

The brunette couldn't say that it didn't give her some satisfaction.

At this thought somethimes had to control herself not to smirk by accident.

Anyhow, even if the straw hat's were doing something that Law liked they were still mafia just like Doflamingo.

So it didn't matter whatever he did make her happy or not. He was still mafia and moreover her target.

It was always simpler to tell herself that she was killing bad people.

It's not like she herself was clean, but still she felt a little better knowing that she could get rid of something similar to her boss.

But Law was cutious, what kind of job the blond wanted to give her?

"I want you to kill their boss." The man suddenly said simply, like it was nothing. "You have two weeks to get rid of the Straw Hat." He added.

Kill the Straw Hat?

Try to kill the boss of one of the most dangerous group?

The mafia boss, who identity wasn't known for everyone?

Moreover only in two weeks?

That had to be fucking joke-

"This freshman starts really getting on my nervers.." The man continued. "And I hope-"

"My apologise for interruption." The woman unexpectedly said. "But I need to make this clear." The brunette started, while trying to be as polite as possible. "You're ordering me to kill one of the most infamous mafia boss'es, who nobody knows identity or at least how he looks like and in less that two weeks?" The assassin finished.

There was no fucking way that to trop anyone like that in two weeks. 

She needed at least moth or two!

"You have to be fucking kidding me." The brunette said while crossing her shoulders in annoyance.

Maybe Trafalgar was a little rude towards her boss, but it wasn't like they have ever liked each other or even behaved formally towards each other.

Usually he gave her job when it was something important and either wanted the situation not to be known for everyone that it was done by Donquixote's or do something way diffrente and make a clear threat for someone, with the victims body, so that might instill fear in others.

But he had never done something out of the place like right now.

Doflamingo was never a reckless man and always planed his actions, just like she herself.

So this Straw hat guy had really made him lose his control.

In the meantime the blond was quite for a while. He was just staring at her without a word and with a light smile.

"You're getting married soon Law, aren't you?" Then suddenly Joker asked and she felt shivers.

Law froze.

Of course he knew it. She knew it well that he knew. It would be weird if he didn't, but he had never mentioned this subject ever before here, when they were disgusing her job.

Law hoped that it would stay like that way forever.

But why he had to pack her private life into this mess right now?

"Honestly I'm disappointed. I didn't get any invitation." Doflamingo said playfully with a smile. "Aren't we family after all this time together?" He asked. "Baby five would be really disappointed.." The man whispered.

"That's because you're not invited." The surgeon said, while ignoring his last question.

"Oh, don't be so cold to your uncle!" The man said with a light chuckle. "After all I only want what's good for you." Doflamingo said as he as he got up from his desk and went closer to her.

Suddenly the blond put his hand on her shoulder with a light squeez. 

Law didn't dare to move.

"I hadn't any chance to meet him." The blond said sadly. "What a lose. Hmm.. But I trust you and know that he's not just any guy and he's worth you." The Donquixote took his hand away from her. "Isn't he?" He asked.

The brunette swallowed loudly.

Maybe the woman felt more relive at the lack of his hand on her shoulder, but she was still uptight, but the question.

In the meantime the man continued his speech at the lack of her answer.

"His name is Luffy, am I right?" Then out of the nowhere the man asked and the brunette hold her breath.

This was just like a nightmare.

"Honestly I didn't know short guy were your type." The blond continued like in was cusual talk for him. "He's a simple small man in this big word. Something unexpected from you." The man commented and was quiet for a while again.

Why he had to do this again?

To ruin everything-

"Tell me." He started. "Does he know about your part-time job?" Doffy asked with a wide smile.

But Law was silent again.

That was too much.

Too much at once.

Everything could end so fast at the snap of a finger.

Unawaress the brunette was pulled out of her thoughts after she felt blindyn violently pull her hair.

Apparently Doflamingo was fed up with her eternal silence and eagerly awaited her answer.

"Answer the question Law." Her boss said threateningly, while still holding her hair.

"No." The woman immiediately whispered to him, knowing that she should make him wait anymore. "He does not." She whispered.

The blond smiled again at hearing her words or maybe because of seeing her reaction.

Then the man let go of her hair.

"Good." The joker said. "But don't you feel guilty for lying to him?" He asked with a smile, but then spoke again. "What am I talking about?" Unexpectedly the man said. "With those dirty hands you haven't felt any guilt for a long time, aren't I'm right?" 

The brunette only nodded lightly.

She didn't want to make him repeat himself.

"Oh, what would he think of you, if he found out about this?" The Donquixote asked with a mean smile.

That were the thoughts that Law never liked to think about. It was always eating her from the inside.

The guild and fear of what could have happened.

But that wasn't time to think about this.

Right now the most important thing was to make sure that Luffy was safe.

He was just a typical normal guy. Yes, maybe weird in his own way with a lot of energy and love for everyone. 

But still he was just a one simple man.

The brunet was strong and she knew it well, but he was normal. Nothing compared to gangsters, mafia and especially Doflamingo.

"But I'll give you three weeks, if that's what you need." The blond continued with a neutral expression on his face, as hebsat on the desk. "Maybe I'll send you wedding gift-"

"Two weeks are ok." The brunette immediately said.

Doffy looked at her curiously.

"Two weeks are enough just.. Just don't do anything." Law explained fastly, while highlighting the last sentence.

The man only smiled at her words.

"I knew you were reasonable." The Joker's smile become bigger as if this whole thing hadn't even happened. "Baby five will tell you more information we have been able to obtain as well as give you access to the weapons you need." Take everything you need." Suddenly the man changed his behavior to completely professional, just as if discussing some business.

He didn't pay too much attention to her anymore, which gave her some relife.

As the man finished, the woman was ready to leave the room, until she heard him speaking again.

"One more thing Law." The blond unexpectedly spoke.

The brunete turned her gaze towards him.

"Do no dissapoint me." He said threateningly, though his words sounded light.

It took them some time, before the surgeon answered.

"Yes." Then she said shortly and went away.

Since that day had passed already five days.

It was middle of the night and Law was still on her computer, while trying to get some information.

Actually ANY information.

There was almost no informations about straw hat's group. If there was anyone, who saw the straw hat himself they were either dead or their body was never found.

It was easier to find something about the members of the straw hat's. There was around seven to nine members that were wearing a characteristic masks, which made it impossible to determine their identity, but at least the assassin knew with who she was dealing with.

On the other hand there was nothing about the boss himself.

It was also hard to to predict their next whereabouts. You could say that the straw hats acted haphazardly. Their previous whereabouts had no connection to each other in any way with the previous.

It was like a coincidence, which was absurd!

Law knew that it wouldn't be easy, but she didn't have any choice.

After all it was about Luffy's life.

She couldn't risk.

She had to do it. For them.

The brunette was going through all her data on the computer, until she heard the sound of the door opening. The surgeon immiediatelly closed all her pages and opened one of the folder's of her patiente to pretend like she was working on something.

Then after a few minutes the woman heard as well-know boy went inside the room.

"Oi Toaro! I'm home!" Suddenly Law heard her boyfriend. "Oi, you're still working?! It's late!" The boy shouted and brunette as the brunet hugged her from the back, while placing his head on her shoulder.

"Just work.." Law repeated with a tired smile, looking at the corner of her eye at her love of life. 

The brunette felt as Luffy hugged her even thigher.

"You should rest." The brunet announced seriously.

"I need to finish this Lu-ya.." The doctor started to explain, but before she could go any further in the subject, the shorter man closed her laptop. "Oi Lu-!" Then he swiveled her swivel chair so that she was facing him right now.

"It's time for rest." The man said again, while making a dangerous eye contact with her.

Oh, why did he had to be so stubborn?? She thought.

As Law was about to complain, she noticed a abrasion on the boy's cheek as if someone had hit him recently.

"Did you get into a fight again?" The brunette unexpectedly asked, while crossing her shoulders with a little annoyed expression.

Then the younger man immiediately turned his gaze away from her, while whistling.

"No..." The brunet said and Law only raised her eyebrow. "Ok, maybe??" The brunet said at seeing her reaction.

Damit Luffy was a terrible liar.

The older woman wanted to chuckle at hiw terrible the boy at doing this.

"Ok, but come here." Law said and the shorter man came closer to her, so she could take a better look at the injury. "Who was it this time?" The brunette asked.

The woman was used to this kind of situation in her life.

Luffy often got into fight with other people in the night as he was comming home.

The man had bad luck and run into someone, who let's just say deserved a hard punch, because of doing something.

Usually were it drunk people from the bars or just random assholes, who didn't know their place.

And Luffy? He just couldn't pass by this like nothing.

"Some idiots accosting some grandpa." Her boyfriend explained fastly.

"You know, you could have always call the police instead of getting your face beaten up." The woman said.

"I'm not beaten! You should have better see them!" The brunet said at once in case if the brunette could have think of him as weak. "Besides police wouldn't help, they would just run away-" The man said while crossing his shoulders with an anoyed expression.

Law looked at him and could see that deep down he was proud of what he had done.

Dummy.

"Still I would prefer, if you hadn't got any scratches." The brunette gently stroked his cheek.

At her action the brunet only smirked a little meanly, knowing well that it would made her blush.

He was right.

"And I would like you to stop looking at the monitor screen in the middle of the night." The younger man saind and the unexpectedly he took the girl over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Oi Luffy-ya wait!" The woman tried to protest, but she had no breakthrough.

"In our home you don't do work stuff!" The younger man started while walking. "But only relax and funny thing!" He added with a laught.

It was sometimes still suprising for Law that her partner despite the big difference in height, he was able to lift her without any problems. Just like she didn't weight anything at all. 

"I have things to take care of Lu-ya." The woman tried to reason with him again.

"You have other things to take care of." Luffy stated and before she could even ask about what he was talking about, he tossed her onto their soft bed and laid down next to her with a wide smile on his face.

"Oh? And what is this?" Law asked with a light smirk on her face.

"Me." Said the man proudly, pointing at himself and grinning from ear to ear.

Law only chuckled at his words.

"You're a selfish man Monkey D. Luffy." Her smile become widder. "I didn't know you need a babysitter-" The brunette joked.

"I do not!" The brunet immediately denied it. "But I didn't see you all day." Luffy said while placing his hands on her hips and taking her into a hug. "You should also take care of yourself." Then out of the blue the boy added.

The doctor was silent for a minute, but a soft smile was still on her face.

"You're overreacting." She stated. "I'm a doctor. I know what I'm doing."

"But you never listen your advices!" 

"As if you were any better-"

Then the younger man suddenly took her even closer to himself, while pacing his head between her shoulder and neck. The brunette immediately returned his hug, as she felt how her boyfriend started slowly kissing her on her neck. Law felt how she become more relaxed with each second.

"Oh poor thing you did miss me, didn't you?" She asked as if she was out of breath, while placing her hand on Luffy's hair.

"Yeah." The brunet answered fast. "It was like I hadn't seen you all week!" The man complained.

She didn't had time.

She wanted to get rid of her task as fast as possible. It was hard to get any information and the time pressure didn't help at all.

They just have to suffer a little more from not spending time together. But it was worth it.

It will soon be over.

For now she.. She was just a little busy with her job.

She just wanted to be here with him. Maybe lie down in bed and just enjoy each others company.

Yes, that was what she wanted.

Maybe she didn't deserve that life, but as well as Luffy she was also selfish and stubborn to fight for it.

There was nothing that could stop her form keeping it that was.

After another five days, Law was finally able to connect the dots and figure out the next place on straw hat's meeting. It was hard knowing so little about her target, but if her guess is correct, then they should be in that abandoned factory.

What the woman could notice, was the fact that any traces of the straw hats were always left in some bars or abandoned food factories in a specific region.

So the assassin could in some way predict where they could go next.

Law hoped that she was right this time.

She was ready.

The woman slowly got off her bike. Dressed in a black suit and mask with two loaded guns and few other small things that will help her.

The brunette took a big breath in and out.

Today Straw Hat is going down.

Law had to be carefull. Just like always. 

She didn't need to get rid of everyone. The most important was the boss himself.

Not drawing attention to herself was an important aspect of her job. 

That's why the woman usually choosed unconventional methods like entering through the vents instead of shooting an enemy with an air gun.

Yes, an air gun was 'pretty quiet', but the surgeon wasn't a sniper and she had to made sure that this job was well done.

She had to see his dead body.

Anyhow, not drawing attention wasn't always possible and sometimes there were some obstacles. Like that guard that had just to go near the vents enter.

It had to be her bad day, because the big guy had noticed her.

But she didn't had time for that.

Before the man could in any possible way react she shot him directly in his head.

She didn't had any time for the backup or other kind of shit-

After this the assassin immediately broke into the building, while slowly crawling through the ventilation shafts. The brunette was able to see other group members patrolling that part. Both they and the earlier guard had strange masks and used different nicknames such as cat burglar, blag leg, tanuki-guy and she even heard of infamous devil child.

She will note it later.

Law crawled through these vents approaching the main office until she heard someone's conversation.

"But you have to consider that you pissed him off really this time, boss." One of the man said with a light irritation.

Bingo!

"So?" The girl heard a completely unconcerned second voice that somehow sounded familiar.

There was no time to think about it, the brunette thought, as she prepared her weapon. She finnally found Straw Hat and she won't miss that chance.

"So? SO?!" Suddnely a more terrified voice spoke. "Will do something I can feel it! Z- I mean swordsman can even feel it!" The man yelled again.

"My guts are never wrong."

There was a moment of silence and the surgeon decided to look through the ventilation grilles and see the whole situation from a bird's eye view. There were two men standing near the desk, where another man was sitting. All she could see from this perspective was the man's distinctive straw hat. In the room there were also other people.

Law had no more doubts. This was the man she had to kill.

"I think he will send surgeon of death after you." Another man with the cigarette spoke calmly.

"And?" Their boss asked.

"What?! What do you mean WHAT?! DID SEE WHAT THEY DID?! THE TRIPE WAS ON TOP OF THEIR VICTIMS! TRIPE!" The scared guy yelled.

The straw hat didn't say anything.

Just like he wasn't afraid of this at all.

A stupid man.

"What Sogeking means is that they never faild they job and Dofmalingo only sends them, when he doesn't have other choice." The man said calmly as he lit his cigarette. "We just want you to take this into consideration boss." He explained.

When it seemed like the straw hat was about to say something then suddenly one of the walkie-talkies chimed in.

The man with the sword answered.

"Cyborg what's up?" He asked.

"Guys it seems that we have an intruder." Unexpectedly the voice spoke and everyone included Law froze hearing this.

Shit-

"Luckly got shot right in the plaque in the brain so I'm still breathing." The man explained. "I'm comming soon!" He announced fast.

This was a mess, but she could still fix this.

Before any of the straw hat's could react, the brunette broke the grille with one kick and jumped firring two bulltes.

The assassin shoot the blond man in arm and other guy in leg. She used it as a distraction, while ignoring the attacts of other men.

The brunette made her way quickly through the chaos and finally to their boss.

She will make it. She thought.

Law was just about to shoot him, but as soon as she saw his face she froze.

Luffy.

Her Luffy.

What the hell He was doing here?!

The woman felt like she couldn't move, breath, do anything.

She just stood there with a gun pointed at her fiancé. 

Her hand started to shake.

What..?

Luffy was the Straw Hat all along.

What the hell was going on..?

Before the assassin could in any way react to this situation properly, she suddenly felt how the blade of a sword at her throat and a gun at the back of her head.

"Oh God it was close..!" The terrified voice behind her said with relief.

"Too close." The man in front of her said "I advise you to drop the gun." The swordsman said warmingly, while pressing his blade even more to her throat.

But she didn't listen.

She almost shoot him.

Law was too focused on Luffy to notice the changes around her.

How the green-haired man was threating her or the fact that even more straw hats was comming into this room.

She was just looking at him.

Law almost shoot him.

At his calm and neutral face, like he wasn't a second ago about to be shoot.

The straw hat was just looking at her curiously and a bit confused.

"Oi Marimo don't even dare spill a single drop of blood." Suddnely the blond threatened.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" The man yelled in anger. "She shoot you in arm and almost him in head!" The swordsman said while pointing his other sword at Luffy.

She almost shoot her fiancè.

She almost killed what she wanted to protect.

"I do not kill women." The blond ignored his reasonable arguments and said it warmingly.

Wait.. Zoro, Sanji..? 

How many more people wee included it this..?

So many things were happening at once that Law didn't even notice how much the two men were arguing with each other.

"Drop the gun." The woman heard again the warming voice of the swordsman.

But she couldn't move.

This- this whole thing.

It was too much.

"Oi Zoro take sword away." Then unexpectedly everyone heard as their leader spoke.

"But-" Before Zoro could even finish his sentence, the straw hat boy just pointed his finger at her trembling hand.

He knew she wouldn't shoot.

That she wasn't able to.

How?

"It's not needed." Luffy added.

At those words the green-haired man man slowly took his weapon slowly from her throat, while still looking at her warmingly.

It was a silence for a minute.

She could feel the stare of other people in the room, but that didn't matter.

Law could only focus on the gaze of the younger brunet in front of her.

"Got scared?" Suddenly she heard that terrified voice behind her.

After all the gun behind her didn't leave.

"It's normal- Finally realised with how you dealing with?" The man asked suddnely too cocky and confident of himself, compared to his past self a seconds ago.

Usopp? The woman questioned.

"Nah, would shoot me earlier, if she wanted." The straw hat suddenly stated like it was nothing. "But in the end didn't." He smiled.

Law could fell that a man behind her was shocked.

The brunet then made again eye contact with her and got up from his chair.

"I'm Money D. Luffy and I'm gonna be the future mafia king!" The man suddenly blured out and laughed.

By every second Law was getting more and more confused.

Then suddenly the other member of the straw hats went rapidly towards her boss and hard punched him in face.

"STOP TELLING THIS EVERYONE YOU MEET YOU IDIOT!!!" The woman punched him a few more times. "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?!"

"Oi Nami but- OI IT HUTRS-!!" The mugiwara boy tried to explain, but got punched once more at saying her name put loud instead of pseudo.

"SHUT UP YOU IDIOT!" The red-haired yelled at him loudly. "WHY DO YOU THINK WE CAME UP WITH PSEUDONYMS!? HM?!" Nami punched her boss once more.

"Oi! But- We can convince her on our side like others-!" The brunet tried to explain while avoiding of getting hurt.

"You can't be sure you can do it every time." Nami said to him warmingly, but the brunet ignored her and looked at her again.

There was this light serious look on his face.

Law just stood there paralised, afraid, confused, not knowing what to do-

"Oi." Suddenly the straw hat spoke taking her away from her thoughts. "You're Mingo's subordinate, right?" He asked, but didn't get any answer from.

After of second of silence Luffy decided to continue his speach.

"We can offer you better. We know he forces all of you to do it." The straw hat stated. "Whatever threatens you, we can help you."

Help her?

He didn't even know.

Hah-

One man once tried to help her and is now smelling the flowers from underneath.

She wanted to laugh, but instead she started to shake. Her whole body.

What the fuck..?

When was the last time when she felt like this-?

She's gonna threw up, cry, pass out- No.

Then unexpectedly the woman felt as someone violently threw her to the floor, holding her by the head, while giving her no opportunity to get up or move in any way.

"Oi what you're doing?!" Someone shouted.

"She was about to shoot again!" The man yelled.

She almost shoot Luffy.

"She wasn't!"

"She's shaking- maybe it's panic attack." Other person said.

It was hard to breath.

Why?

Did She even know what kind of person Luffy REALLY was!?

But she had to control herself.

Everything would be fine in this mess. She could fix this.

Suddenly the woman felt as. more fresh air was entering her system and how someone was taking off her mask off.

Then the woman met with the big dark well-know for her eyes, which rapidly turned in shock.

Why this was happening to her..?

Law still didn't dare to do anything. To move, make any noise or even show any expression on her face.

She saw how the man she loved looked at her like that for the first time.

No happiness. No love. No worry. No carring.

Just hurt.

It scared her.

"Torao?" The brunet even when saw her, he still asked in shock.

It was silent in the room. Nobody dared to say anything. They just looked in schock and she was just looking at her boyfriend with neutral expression.

"Can you-" The brunet tired to say something, but suddenly cut it. "Can you guys leave us alone?" The man repeated his question, while not breaking the eye contact with her.

Seriousness was evident on his face.

There was silent again in the room.

"Luffy-" Nami tried to speak with concern and compassion, but was immediately interrupted.

"Leave us alone." The straw hat ordered and this time nobody dared to disobey him.

At once everyone left the room, leaving the them.

Just two of them.

Luffy was standing in front of her, meanwhile she was kneeling on the ground. Both staring at each other.

"Oi, what are you doing here Torao?" The boy blured out cusually, like there was nothing going on.

Typical Luffy.

"What are you doing here!?" Instead the woman asked a little flustrated by all of this.

Even for as calm person as she was this. This was just too much for her.

The younger man looked at her for a second.

"I? I was doing mafia stuff-" He said obviously.

"You and mafia?" She asked.

No matter if she had heard this word out loud or not. Luffy and Maffia didn't sound right together.

"Yup." The younger nodded simply "And I'm going to be the most free man in the world!" He added.

The surgeon still didn't belive what she had heard.

"You're the straw hat." Law stated, still not beliving in her own words.

"Yes." The man said proudly. "And you're surgeon of death." The brunet said unmoved, while looking directly at her.

Law could swear that his gaze pierced her.

"You came here to kill me?" Suddenly the boy asked curiously and the woman froze at his words. "Just like they said?" The straw hat waited patiently for her answer.

The assassin looked at the boy and took deep breath in and out.

"I was ordered to kill Straw hat." She stated. "Not my fiancé." The woman said.

"Oh." Luffy said only, looking a little pensive. "Are you still trying to kill me?" The brunet asked dumbly and Law swear if it wasn't for the situation they were in, she probably would have made a facepalm.

"No." She said without a second thought.

Then unexpectedly on the straw hat's face apeared a big smile and the boy chuchled lightly.

"Yosh!" The brunet yelled to his confused girlfriend. "Then there's no problem!" He said as he knelt across from her and took her face in his hands. "You're not hurt, aren't you?" Luffy asked, while trying to find any injury on her.

For a moment the doctor didn't do anything, because of the schock, but when she woke up the brunette quickly took his hands from his face.

"Just like that..?" She asked confused.

The straw hat boy looked at her confused, clearly not understanding what she meant.

"I could have kill you." She started. "I shoot your people.. I almost killed-"

"But you didn't." Luffy said rapidly.

"But-" She tried to say something, but he didn't let her finish.

"You don't like to do this." 

"What?" The brunette asked out of context.

"You don't like to hurt people." He stated like it was something obvious and simple. "I saw how you took care of your patients. How do you feel when something goes wrong. How you take care of me or our friedns." He explained. "You don't like this, do you?" He asked and Law went silent.

She hated it.

Obviously.

But how could he be- how could he be just so sure of it?

"You wouldn't do it, if there wasn't a reason." The boy suddenly stated more seriously. "Why do you help that Mingo asshole?!" Luffy asked more pissed not understanding at all.

Why?

Because there was no other option.

Becuause she owed him.

Because there was no one else.

Because of fear.

Because everyone else died.

Because there was no escape from him.

Because he killed who she loved.

Because he was able to do it again.

Because she was far too long in that mess to get out.

Because he could still hurt the loved ones.

"Torao?" Suddenly, her lover's voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

The brunette looked at her partner and saw this worried look on his face.

"I-" As the woman tried to speak, she realised how her voice was breaking. "I just-" Law felt that she was about to cry. "I didn't have choice." Then she finally broke.

Law started crying.

Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks as she sobbed.

She couldn't help it.

Everything.

It was all too much.

Meanwhile the woman didn't even notice as the younger man suddenly hugged her tightly.

"Oi, it's ok." Luffy started, while gently storking her head.

It was not ok, even thought she felt safe in his arms.

It was never safe.

"No, It's not-" The girl denied him and then broke free from his grip. 

Luffy looked confused at her actions.

She couldn't pretend that everything was fine.

Hugs and sweet words won't solve her problem.

"Torao-"

"I don't want to lose more people I care about!" Law shouted under control of her emotions.

The younger brunet finally started listening to her again.

"No matter where I go, he will always find me. Moreover he'll kill you." The doctor said in panic, as she grabbed her head.

She couldn't let it happened.

Not again.

Back then she was just a dumb kid, but now she knew everything.

She surely could still do something.

"TORAO!" Suddenly the boy yelled, while grabbing her head so that she had to look at him.

The brunette went silent as she saw Luffy's serious expression.

"We can solve this together!" The straw hat unexpectedly stated.

Law only looked at him dumbfooled.

"And right now I really want to beat his ass-" The man said in anger. "I'm strong and he's afraid of me."

What?

"But you need to tell me what you want." The brunet said seriously, still looking at her.

This was nonsense.

It was impossible.

Luffy had always have a weird ideas.

But he was able to so impossible things-

"I- I want him dead." The brunette finally said.

"Then we will kill him." The straw hat said without a second thought and hugged her again.

This time the woman hugged his partner back. He kissed her softly and she snuggled into him more.

Even though Luffy didn't know the whole story, he still wanted to help her.

He always helped people even when he didn't know the reason.

That kind of human he was.

Luffy was selfish, but also a very good person, that this world didn't deserve.

Law always thought like that and she still thinks.

Then unexpectedly the boy picked her up off the ground like a sack of potatoes, which was shocking and confusing.

"WAIT- Lu-ya what are you-?!" Then the brunet set her down on his desk.

Trafalgar only looked at him puzzled not knowing exacly what the younger wanted to do.

Luffy looked at her and she didn't dare to say a word.

"You could ask me." Suddenly he said. "For help." The brunet added, before she could ask about what was he talking about. "You could tell me." He said as he took her hand close to his face. "I would help you." 

Instead of being quiet Law decided to ask.

"You didn't tell me either." She said talking about him being the straw hat.

Luffy blinked two times, until he understood what she meant.

"Oh, Nami told me that I can't just tell anyone And that you could get hurt, because of that.." The boy said evidently taking into consideration the second reason.

Damit.

First of all, that was sweet and secondly how could she not notice it before??

The brunette chuckled and the younger man looked at her curiously.

"I can't belive I didn't know, while living with the worst liar in the world." The doctor said, while grabbing her head.

"Oi Torao I wasn't lying! I just.. didn't mention this to you.." The straw hat said with a dumb smile on his face.

"I can see that." The woman smiled softly at him. "Do you really think we can do it?" Unexpectedly Law asked with worried look on her face.

At the question the shorter man only smiled even more.

"Of course!" He shouted with a light laugh.

Law smiled gently and slowly grabbed his cheeks, which made the younger man a little confused by her action.

"I don't deserve you." The woman unintentionally blured out without a second thought.

It was true.

"Too bad." The brunet suddenly said with a smirk on his face. "I've already decided to keep you!" Then he laughed.

That laugh and smile. Law just couldn't help herself and she kissed him lightly on his lips.

Both of them stayed in that position for a moment, until the brunette spoke again.

"God I love you." Law said with a smile.

"I know!" The straw hat just laughed and hugged her thigher.

"We should probably call the rest of your crew." After a while the doctor said. "They musst be worried." She added.

"Just a minute..!" The boy immediately said, evidently being comfortable in this position.

"Luffy-ya I need to explain everything-" The surgeon started.

"Just a five minutes!" The straw hat complained.

"That's not how it works Lu-ya-" She tried to explain.

"A ten more minutes..?" The brunet asked and Law only sighed.

Law snuggled into him more while closing her eyes.

After all ten more minutes won't kill anyone, right?

The time was up.

Law was standing in Doflamingo's office like a little soldier, that she was.

"I hope you have something nice to tell me." The blond said, patiently waiting for the assassin to finally gave her raport.

"Only good news." The woman said calmly, while trying to refrain from smiling.

"Oh? I'm listening." The Donquixote said with a big smile on his face.

"I'm leaving." The brunette suddenly said with a big smile on her face.

The man surely didn't expect this kind of answer.

"Excuse me?" Law could see how his veins began to throb.

"I'm quitting this job. I'm leaving Donquixote family. I'm getting you out of my life." The brunette said fastly with a smile full of satisfaction and confidence.

She just couldn't stop smilling.

Then the older man rapidly got up from his chair and started walking towards her.

"I don't know what's got into you." The blond started. "If you're jokking, have another phase of fight me or if you just broke down mentally." The man looked at her angry. "I don't have time for that sort kind o shit-" He pulled a gun out of his coat. "Better tell me if you did your job." He ordered.

Law's face still couldn't hide her light smirk.

"I did not." The woman said saw as the man in front of her about to explode like time-bomb.

The blond was queit for a moment.

"Hah. I guess you frogot where is your place." The man said while pointing his gun at her one shoulder. "One time you almost lost your arm. Maybe this time you'll actually have to amputate it?" He asked while waiting for any reaction.

He didn't get anything.

Trafalgar was just looking at him and nothing more.

"Or maybe-" He suddenly pointed his gun to her head. "I should really get rid of you?" 

"Just like him?" Law suddenly asked and the blond just went silent for a second.

Then he laughed.

"You know? You're like my niece Law." Doflamingo said, as he brought the weapon even closer so that she could feel the metal against her skin. "Like a annoying and disobedient brat." He said with a smile. "So like family." He stated. "And that's why I musst-"

Before the man could finish his sentence the shots were fired and suddenly people started pouring into the room.

Doflamingo got shoot in few places.

Law smiled even wider.

Then even more straw hat's were comming into the room.

There were some yells, but it didn't belong to any of her friends and then she saw the straw hat boy jumping into the room through the window.

"Oi Torao!" Luffy suddenly shouted as he stood on the Doflamingo's desk.

"I told you not to jump in the window!" The brunette yelled back at him.

This idiot could get hurt, so easly.

"Oi sorry, sorry!" The man said, while laughing and definitely not caring at all about this.

Law sighed.

She smiled lightly.

Yes, this was the life that she wanted to have with him.
