Summary
Jotaro is a priest who is doing his best to help raise his teenage daughter who he had out of wedlock just before he dedicated his life to the church. Jolyne is spirited and challenging, but Jotaro is doing everything he can to give her a good life, to make up for the time he wasn’t there. If there is something Jotaro can give her, he generally gives it. Up to and including tickets to a concert for a band called DieMend. They're loud, they're angry, they’re angsty, and their lead singer, Josuke Higashikata, is a self proclaimed musical demon. He's fashionable, attractive, plays multiple instruments, sings, and steals the hearts of teenagers everywhere. What Jotaro is not expecting is for a single glimpse of this singer performing to steal some part of his heart, too. Josuke sparks something in Jotaro that feels familiar, like someone's just walked over his grave, and it leads him down a path of self discovery that gives him insight into just how little he knows about Heaven, and how much he wants to know about the sins of the flesh, past, present, and future.
