Work Text:

"Dude you can't seriously take him to a brothel, he is an angel of the Lord!" Sam chastised his brother. Dean simply rolled his eyes.

"I have before and I will again. Sure, Sammy it's none of your business stay out it."

"You what?" Sam furrowed his eyebrows together and gave a small shook of his head.

"It was years ago, Sam. I didn't think it was important enough to tell you. Should we have invited you?" The angel looked concerned he had made a social blunder.

"NO" snapped Dean hitting Cas lightly on the shoulder.

"What's a brothel?" Asked Jack barely looking up from the TV.

"Well its-" began Cas.

"Nothing" chimed in Sam while Dean merely laughed "I'll bring you when you're older."

Jack just smiled, shrugged and returned to his cartoons.

"Now come Sunshine. Sammys got the kid. We're going to get you some." Dean walked down the garage as Sam stood jaw dropped while Cas gave him a small smile and followed Dean.

The signed outside advertised a Gentlemen's Club. Cas understood that this was deemed a polite term for a brothel. Whether that was true of not he could not say. What he did know is he didn't really want to be there. But he just found it so hard to say no to Dean. Especially when Dean talked about how he needed to have good sex. And yes, Dean was correct most of his sexual experience were complicated and not particularly enjoyable but still he didn't know how to explain to the hunter that he just didn't view sex the same way. Castiel knew it could be enjoyable and yes he has engaged in self pleasure on an occasion. But still for him the sexual desire just wasn't there without a connection. Demisexual was the term he had come across when reading. A subset of the asexual spectrum. It was only reading that book he realised that the majority of humans actually experience full on lust over an other human body purely on looks. He had been friends with the Winchesters long enough to know that you didn't need an emotional connection to have sex. But he assumed that they were just working through the motions, like he had done when he had sex. To realise it can come more spontaneously than that, had been quite the revelation. All the porn Dean consumed now made more sense to Cas. While Cas liked some porn he normally spent the time looking at it thinking of how it would feel to do that with someone he had feelings for so he couldn't understand why Dean was constantly looking at different types of porn with a significant variety. So how on earth could he explain to this promiscuous man that he had no interest in having sex unless he already was emotionally attracted to the person? And there was only one person that stroked that kind of desire in him. Simply he couldn't, so now he sat looking at some woman take her bra off as Dean got them drinks at the bar.

The room was hot. The music loud. The dancers were gorgeous. Dean was very aware of his best friend. He kept trying to forget about him. But it was hard especially considering the way his shirt sleeve clung tightly to his biceps when he leaned his elbows on that table. Dean actively looked away. He looked on as a red head dancer sheds her skin on stage. From the corner of his eye he could see a bead of sweat on Cas' forehead. Nope. He kept looking around trying to suss out the place. Two tables down from them an older man in a suit smirks sipping on a peach and lime daiquiri, looking very dignified as if he was at a jazz show rather than sitting in a brothel fronting as a dance hall. Why did he bring Cas here? Yeah the angel deserves a lay but this doesn't feel right. Some thought niggled in the back of Dean's mind but before he can examine it his subconscious barricaded the door. He chanced a glance at Cas. He should havr be relieved to see Cas was enjoying himself. He should have been. Isn't this exactly where he liked Cas to be? So why does his chest feel tight at the sight of his ang- his friend smiling at the dancers.

Castiel always admired beauty. It was one if the many things he loved about the earth. Yes heaven was beautiful but too perfectly so. It was jarringly so. The most beautiful thing to Cas was the way imperfection did not destroy beauty but simply highlighted. Like this beautiful dancer in front of him. He could see the flyaway hairs, the freckles she was clearly trying to hide sprinkled under her foundation and all it did was illuminate her beauty. He smiled contented at watching her hips sway to the music but how they always missed the 3rd beat. Her talent and the art she dedicated hours to was evident in that. It was demonstrated in that missed beat. She didn't naturally sway perfectly. She worked at it and that was beautiful. When Cas felt Dean's leg brush against his under the table he turned to look at the hunter. But it must have been an accident as Dean was turning to admire another performer. Cas stared for a moment. That look on Dean's face. The easy way his eyes followed the dancer. It reminded him of reverie. He was sure the only way Dean could be happier was if he was closer to the dancer. Here was the hunter praying for a lapdance while the angel prayed for love.

Dean got a few more drinks. Downing shots at the bar. He couldn't understand why he felt on edge. Heck there were half naked women everywhere he looked but he just wanted to get out. But he wasn't some fool. He knew what he had to do so he smiled, joked and drank. He had one job and that was to make sure Cas had a good time and got laid. Or did that count as two? It didn't matter. He had a mission. Feeling the tequila starting to have the desired effect he grabbed the two beers and headed back to their table. Though before he got there. He noticed one of the dancers approach Cas. She was easily the best looking woman here. She looked like royalty. Like an old fashioned burlesque queen. She seemed to be drawn to Cas, ignoring the men holding out bills in her direction. Dean in a dazed walked slowly over taking in the show as she unbuttoned several of Cas shirt buttons, she ruffled his hair and stood back saying something. It must have been an order because Cas tilted his head. Dean didn't need to see his face to know the confused look the blue eyed man was wearing. Cas undid his cuffs and pushed his shirt sleeves past his elbows. The dancer seemed pleased because she leaned down and kissed his cheek just as Dean reached the table.

"And who do we have here?" Lotty cooed at Dean. The dancer had introduced herself when she had asked Cas his name. Dean replied with his trademark grin Cas loved so much. Dean tried to squeeze by to return to his seat. But Lotty took the beer and placed them on the table. "Well Dean, what do you think of my handy work?" She turned Dean to face Cas. In the tight space they were very close. Dean had no choice but to stand in between Cas legs. Cas rested his head at the back of the seat and looked up at the hunter and the dancer. It looked to him like Dean gulped. Maybe it was naivety but it seemed like when he caught the hunters eyes they dilated with excitement.

"Good work" croaked out Dean. Lotty took one of Dean's hands and place it on Cas arm, gently guiding it up his bicep before placing it on his chest.

"Oh, Dean. You can do better than that. Wouldn't you say he is handsome?" The dancer prompted.

"Devastatingly so" Dean's breaths were coming out ragged. Cas was fighting every urge to drag his best friend down to him.

"So why are you still here?" The dancer asked before stepping back finally giving Dean space to move away but Dean pressed in closer for a second before gasping "Come on angel let's get out of here."

A week later just before opening Castiel walked into the Gentlemen's club and asked for Lotty.

"How did you know?" Was all he said.

"Oh sweetie. It was obvious. You two kept looking at each other in awe and want. The only ones that didn't see it were you two."
