   Ashley threw her knife down. “You overextended on purpose!” She huffed. “You let me win! Don’t take it easy on me!”

   “I did overextend on purpose, but I didn’t do it to let you win. I kept you fighting for half an hour, Ashley. That’ll wear anyone down mentally and physically. But even through that fatigue, you saw an opening when your opponent made a mistake and exploited it. That was the lesson, and you grasped it instinctively.”
