Chapter Text

AU where Phil and Tommy are avians and live in a treehouse. Phil goes out into the world to get food for him and his son Tommy, but gets captured by bandits. Avians are considered rare and are worth a lot of money when sold so it's not surprising that he did get captured, but damn is it inconvenient!

Fast forward to that night, Techno and Wilbur find him and all the other rare species that were captured and free them after killing off the bandits. “The heroes are just like Robin Hood!” Phil tells the other hostages. Tommy loves the story about Robin Hood and he couldn't wait to tell him about the heroes when he gets home.

After everyone has parted ways, Phil goes up to the duo and thanks them, offering them a meal and a place to stay in return for saving him (and, indirectly, his son).

The duo gladly accepts the offer because they've been traveling for days and have run out of money to pay for food and shelter.

When the three return to Phil's home, his son leaps into his arms and cries. Tommy had known that something went wrong when his father was gone for more than an hour and had begun to worry. The toddler stays in his father's arms and after he's finally calmed down, he's introduced to his father's saviors, Technoblade and Wilbur.

Tommy thanks them by giving them his favorite toys and they can't help but coo at the young avian.

After dinner is finished and Tommy's finally put to bed, Phil offers them a permanent place to stay. The duo has been expressing their concerns and worries to Phil and the man couldn't help but put his heart on his sleeve.

The duo, once again, gladly accepts Phil’s offer and the three agree that starting tomorrow they'll add onto the treehouse to make room for the twins.

When Tommy finds out the next morning, he's ecstatic to help build and is excited to have two more members of the family. Meanwhile, Phil is happy that his son won't be alone whenever he has to leave now.
