Summary
He doesn’t even realize he’s shaking until he hears the locks on the front door shifting, meaning someone’s home. Ace jolts straight up from the scare, even banging his head against the wall.
Still on the ground, Ace looks around the corner of the wall he’s currently leaning against and looks out to the foyer, the open front door, and the trench-coat wearing man in the doorframe, tugging a trash bag full of something.
“Y-You’re home late,” Ace says in the best warm, welcoming tone he can manage.
