   Summary

   Nie Mingjue doesn't need a soulmate, no matter what his father or the gods or everyone else may think. Sending him to Gusu will not magically make him change his mind, and it's at most a last ditch effort from his father to convince him otherwise, but it will not work.

   His determination unfortunately fails to take into account the fact that Lan Xichen has other plans.
