Summary
After getting the bittersweet news that a Fleet of ships are coming from Earth to Nomansland in a few years to help gather everyone back to Earth safely. Vash and Wolfwood have time to think on what that entails.
One night after a long three weeks of traveling with little to no breaks in the harsh uncaring desert, Vash and Wolfwood happen upon a small town and decide to make a pit stop and give themselves a well deserved reprieve before getting back to the task at hand. Finding Knives.
Nick and Vash drink and laugh, stumbling into their shared room to get some well needed rest, at least, after sharing one last drink.
They are smiling, laughing, finally at ease as a nagging question continues to nibble at Vash’s mind until he can't keep it in. Asking Wolfwood as he stares at the ceiling, tracking the rusty fan, voice low and starkly sober.
"Nick.. When the fleets come, and they take us all back to Earth.. What would be the first thing you'd wanna do?"
