"uff" it had been a long day for A, the earlier hours of filming with his friends were lovely, but he wouldn't be able to say the same about the past hour of trying to edit that 4 hour long mess of a colabration.
Now, A just wanted to get his food and tea, curl up under some blankets, eat his food while watching some mind numbing things and nap. Food, tea and sleep, three things he lived for.
A ping from his phone made him jump. Grumbling a little about many things ranging from friends pinning over each other to server fires he checked his phone. Guess today he was lucky as it was a text from his person reading 'Love? You recording? I came home early, will start the food(•3•)<3'. God, his food, one of the most important things to him, this is why this man was his boyfriend.
Getting up to get out of his sound boarded to hell office he yelled his answer " Nope! Just finished a hard editing part, you up for cuddling?" "when am I not?" Hearing his boyfriend's slight chuckle from the kitchen he too grinned.
Entering the kitchen as quitely as possible, he trecked behind the man and in a suprise attack hugged him from behind. Laughing at his suprised yelp, A burried his nose into the back of B's neck. "Oh my goodness me A, I just put tea on the stove, do you want me to spill it?". God, his tea, his oldest friend, this is why he loved this man.
"nope. Just wanted to hug my stupidly handsome boyfriend" B laughed "if someone is 'stupidly handsome' in our relationship that is you" A crinkled his nose like he was thinking, then said in a conclusive way "nah, you are the actor, I play minecraft for a living and even then don't show my face"
"oh that's not cause you are ugly tho' love, that's cause you are shy"
"hah, I'm shy? Who asked the other one out again?"
"hey! I would have asked if I knew you were into me, you did not have this problem as I flirted with you every chance I got"
" what you don't understand dear, is that you can ask out anyone, even compleate strangers and they would say yes 90% of time"
"first of all no they wouldn't but if you did-"
'BEEP'
The microwave finally put a stop to their flirt-fighting, making B, who loved ' bickering like an old married couple' huff and A, who too liked bickering but loved his food more giggle in return.
While he got the plate of reheated food from microwave and put it to two bowls, B poured the tea to their cups and took them to the living room and sat down on their sofa.
A immidiatly snuggled to his side."anything happened today? I thought you were spossed to film some late night shots with your son" B's new movie was about a single father finding love again, not his usual style of action but the filming site was close to home and he was able to ensure that when he came home nothing would be broken or sore, god he needed a break from that" yea, was supposed to, Nathan cought a stomach bug probably from school"
"ow, he probably was misserable"
"he was, pucked twice before her mom came to get him"
"oh poor little dude, maybe I should bake cookies for him, you can take them to him tomorow, would tomorow be too early?"
"it probably will be too early, lets wait a few days, heh, the kid loves your cookies, if you opened a bakery you would get rich just from him"
"well I pride myself in my cookies and I like sharing them with people I like"
"that you do, honestly the other actors keep jocking about me acting all fatherly over him, what they don't understand is that it's my boyfriend who is doing it"
"hey! I just give him sweets when he is down. You on the other hand go all care taker, like I am pretty certain you rubbed his back while he was pucking-"
"of course I did, there was a misserable 10 year old who did not have his parent with him!"
"well you help him with his homework"
"you do that too!"
"you are shit at maths, if I didn't the kid wouldn't learn anything"
"and this is 'fatherly' behavior A"
A comfortable silence commenced. Their silences(however rare they were) were rarely uncomfortable. It would be easy to guess both were thinking about the fact they liked beeing'fatherly'.
"I should take some chicken broth to Allise, and maybe offer to look after Nathan, her bosses go all mad and mighty if she takes too much time off"
"Filming will probably slow down so I will ask the producers for time off to come with you"
"hmm..."
Both of their food was done, A took a moment to put their bowl on the coffe table then snuggled right back to B's side. Both of them softly sighed. But it was B who pulled the blanket down to cover A and break the silence by saying "I know it was a long day for you love, just take a nap, okay?"
"hmm" hummed A, affirmatvely, snuggling even closer to the man's side and closing his eyes. Before falling asleep with B lightly scratching his head one last thought entered his mind.
God, his sleep, arguably the most important thing in his life, this was why he was going to get married to this man.
