Chapter Text
I: i’ve found love in the strangest place (tied up and branded, locked up in a cage)
Ally Dawson is in detention.
It’s a surprise to nobody, considering she’s the bad girl of the school. Detention is nothing to her.
“Excuse me? I don’t really know what to expect? What goes on here?” a boy says. He’s got the most chocolatey brown eyes, and hair that dashes in his eyes perfectly.
Wait. What is she thinking?
Anyway, she responds with a regular drawl.
“Well, hon, depends on what you’re looking for. Trouble and Chaos are over there, you’ll get to know them soon enough.”
He looks spooked. “Trouble and Destruction? That sounds scary…”
“No, no! Trouble and Destruction are-” She cuts her voice off, as to whisper. “ Trish and Dez. ”
“Wait, really?”
“Hush! You never know who’s listening.”
He leans in to whisper. “I got that right.” He says it in such a way that it makes her heart flutter, even just the tiniest bit.

The next day, she goes to the library. That boy- she’ll call him Moon. Sounds nice. He’s inspired her to do something new. As soon as she steps into the library, everyone stares.
“ Isn’t that the girl who bullies everyone?”
“Heard she talked to Moon yesterday… the boy’s doomed.”
“Isn’t she the one who was-”
In the softest voice she can muster, she says “Stop.”
They all quiet down.
She sits down and picks out a comic book, never being one for traditional books anyway. Words confuse her.
She chooses the book ‘The Galactic Adventures of the Electric Avengers’. Sounds like something a six-year-old would read, but she goes for it anyway.
After finishing the book, she enjoyed it more than she thought she would. As she leaves, she bumps into Moon again.
She’s a bit scared, considering he’s a foot taller than her. He was less scary in a desk.
“Hey Dawson.”
Those two words alone bring back the fluttering.
For the first time in forever, she’s happy with the library.
