Work Text:
Stan and Kyle lay on the couch in the Marsh's living room, wrapped up in a cozy blanket, snuggling close.
Kyle giggled.
"Hey, remember that time you thought it was a good idea to jump into the lake naked?"
Stan blushed.
"Shut up, dude. I was drunk."
"I know. It was hilarious."
"Whatever, you know you loved it." Stan smirked.
Kyle rolled his eyes but snuggled closer.
"Maybe I did. You know I can never stay mad at you."
Stan smiled and wrapped his arms tighter around Kyle.
"I'm sorry for being an idiot sometimes, dude. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Kyle turned to face him and smiled back.
"Well, you'll never have to find out. I'll always be here for you, even when you do stupid shit."
They laughed and fell into a comfortable silence, enjoying the warmth of each other's company. Stan nuzzled his face into Kyle's wild red hair, inhaling his natural scent.
"This is nice," Kyle said, breaking the silence.
"What, me sniffing your hair?"
Kyle rolled his eyes again.
"No, dumbass. Just hanging out like this. It's nice to have a break from all the chaos in this town."
"Yeah, it is," Stan said. "We should do this more often."
"Definitely," said Kyle, closing his eyes and leaning into Stan's embrace, "mm, could stay here forever."
Me too. Stan smiled and held him tighter, savoring this moment of peace in a town that would be sure to throw some chaos their way. But nothing he couldn't handle with Kyle.
