Stan and Kyle were snuggled up in Kyle's bed, enjoying the warmth of each other on a chilly evening. They were in their pajamas, both Terrance and Phillips themed.
"Can't believe we've been together three years," said Stan, tracing circles on Kyle's arm with his finger.
"I know!" said Kyle, nuzzling into Stan's chest. "Feels like both forever and just yesterday."
"You always have to be so philosophical about everything, don't you?" Stan chuckled.
Kyle grinned up at him.
"What can I say? I'm a genius."
Stan rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile.
"You dork."
"You love it."
"Mm, I do," said Stan, pulling Kyle even closer. "I love everything about you."
Kyle's cheeks flushed.
"Love you too, Stan. Its...nice when we get to just be like this."
And like that they were as they laid there in silence, savoring the comfort of each other's arms.
Then Kyle chuckled softly.
"What?" asked Stan.
"Remember that time Cartman convinced us to try those spicy wings from City Wok and we both ended up in the bathroom for hours?"
Stan groaned.
"Ugh, don't remind me. That was the worst."
Kyle laughed.
"I remember you were cursing Cartman's name all night."
"Well, he deserved it," Stan said. "I mean, who the hell puts that much spice in food?"
Kyle giggled.
"I don't know, but pretty sure we both learned our lesson about trusting Cartman when it comes to food."
Stan nodded.
"Yeah, we definitely did."
They fell into a comfortable silence again, filled with their soft breathing and the occasional rustle of the sheets as they shifted position.
"Hey, Kyle?" Stan said after a few minutes.
"Yeah?"
"Thanks." He didn't know what exactly for, or how to explain.
Kyle smiled up at him.
"You're welcome."
