“Become an animus i can give you everything you wanted” darkstalker said qibli hesitated he wasn't sure there had to be a catch
“I dont know..” he mumbled there has to be some trick is this really worth it i mean it's everything i’ve ever wanted but at what cost
“I know there’s something else you want isn’t there?” darkstalker smiled “You want the affection of the icewing prince winter i don't know what you see in him but i could if you want make you someone he’d love you could be together i can see futures where you live happily together i could help you accomplish that” winter’s love he thought seeing his beautiful glittering scales like the moons imagining him one day feeling the same way but what would that take?
“Fine as long as there’s no enchantments on winter” he said
“Don't worry just you of but there is your end of the deal you have to give me your earring and allow me to remove the enchantment on all of them and promise to never use your power against me” he replied creating an intricate circlet made with silver and an aquamarine crystals imbedded in it with an opal at the front
“Ok deal” he said taking the circlet and taking off his earring placing it in darkstalker palm i expected something more like rule the world with me
“You’ve made the right choice qibli” he smiled as qibli put the circlet on surprisingly it was slightly too big he felt a tingling sensation in his talons animus magic he smiled then his scales started turning pale and sharp and his snout and horns also became bigger and sharper his tail and sail split into spikes and he suddenly felt cold;he had been turned into an icewing why would darkstalker do that i thought he hated icewings but winter’s icewing royalty he couldn’t love me as a sandwing that’s why he did that and i'll be bringing animus magic back into his tribe
“I must be back to the night kingdom now qibli” darkstalker flew off
“Wait but-” he called what do i do now i guess find winter he must be in the ice kingdom somewhere.
he flew off struggling to adjust to the feel of icewing wings in the air he flew for a while over the desert passing thorn’s stronghold he felt a sense of guilt i could go there right now and tell her i'm an animus think of all the things i could do….but would she believe a random icewing and i wont be an animus if i take the circlet off he touched the opal in the front of the circlet thinking about how much power that one circlet held.he continued on but still feeling guilty maybe i can convince snowfall to ally with thorn though she doesn’t seem like the type. he had been flying for a while and his wings were aching as he was coming up to the border between the ice kingdom and the kingdom of sand
He spotted a pool that wasn't frozen over and landed to take a drink letting the cold water refresh himself as a blizzard began to form how am i going to find winter especially in a blizzard he realised i'm an animus dragon now i can fix this “enchant this pool to show me prince winter of the icewings until it disappears from my sight” he added that last part not wanting this pool to allow some random dragon to spy on winter.it showed the icewing prince sitting on a cliff overlooking the sea it gave him a good idea of his location and he flew off again heading towards the west sea.he saw looking out to sea was the beautiful prince his scales like ice reflecting an overcast sky he awkwardly crashed into the snow too distracted by his melancholic beauty
“Who’s there!” he called in his gruff voice he ran over “Who are you i’ve never seen you before”
I need an icewing name…..what’s something an icewing would have
“Northwind” he said getting up shaking the snow off realising that rather than the blue tint that winter’s scales had he still had an “I’m actually here to see you”
“See me? Why im the prince who’s due to be exiled and you’re a literal nobody i've never even heard a whisper of an icewing called northwind” there was tones of anger regret and confusion in his voice
“Well that’s the problem i was raised away from icewing society in the highest peaks of the claws of the clouds mountains when i was old enough i decided to try to find my way to the ice kingdom but on my way i herald about you an icewing prince who had expanded and made friends from his own tribe and i thought you were just the person to help me” he explained he had come up with that on the spot but it was actually a believable backstory
“Fair,but why should i help you” he replied
“Because I'm an animus,” he stated.
