"The sky is clear tonight, it's been a long time since I've seen so many stars," Hob said quietly, resting his head on Dream's shoulder.
They were standing on the balcony of Hob's apartment and the coolness of the spring night had brought them closer, even though they never needed a reason to get closer. Dream put his arm around Hob's shoulder and held him close.
Suddenly, Hob raised his hand and pointed to the sky, exclaiming, "A shooting star!
Dream looked not at the sky, but at Hob's face and the almost childlike joy that lit it.
He was still amazed at the man's ability to rejoice in small things.
Noticing his silence, Hob turned his head to Dream and asked with a questioning eyebrow, "What?"
Dream smiled softly and replied, "When you see a shooting star, you should make a wish."
Hob shook his head, "I don't need to.
Dream looked at him quizzically, so Hob continued, moving her face closer to his, "I don't need to make a wish because I already have everything I could wish for. You are all I wish for."
Then he closed the remaining distance between them and pressed his lips to Dream's in a tender kiss before resting his head on his shoulder again. He took Dream's hand in his, intertwining their fingers, and Dream wrapped his arm around Hob's shoulders again, planting a kiss on his lover's hair.
Words were no longer necessary and they simply enjoyed the moment of peace that had been offered to them.
