Six months have now passed since the destruction of the Citadel, the collapse of the Combine Superportal, and the disappearance of Alyx Vance. The Earth is now embroiled in a brutal war reminiscent of the fateful conflict two decades prior as humanity attempts to throw off the yoke of oppression.
This is the situation Adrian Shephard now finds himself in, as he and his friends take the strain of leading the war effort while also searching for one of their number and her captor. But the former Marine’s mind isn’t just on rescuing Alyx, for he has another person dear to him to save: his younger sister, Michelle Shephard, whom he last saw over five years ago.
But saving Michelle from the Combine will not be easy - not least because she is one of them.
