Chapter Text
Dear fuck up,
"No, too harsh" I whispered to myself.
Dear Jackass,
"Perfect."
Dear Jackass,
I know you threw that applesauce container, the open one that got all over Vivian and me. Since I'm such a forgiving person I'll give you a choice. you can, (A) apologize to us and let me "spill" a milkshake on you, (B) apologize to Vivian and let me kick you in the face, or (C) don't apologize and be executed immediately. Your choice idiot, either way, I'll get payback for this.
Screw you Nate.
- Pheonix
When I finish writing my note I throw it at the blonde idiot a few desks away from me. His name is Nate, he's a popular guy, blonde hair, brown eyes, a symmetrical face, he's tall but not strong, and definitely not smart. Read the note for one of many examples of his stupidity.
When he opens the note he smiles like a dumbass. Wait, what the hell? Why is he so happy, I just threatened him! He should fear me!
He looks over at me still smiling as he shouts,
"awww, I got a note from my favorite boyfriend! He's trying to be scary, how cute!"
I flushed red with rage. There's always been this rumor around our school that we're dating ever since elementary school. It's not true though. It's not that we aren't gay cause we are, I'm gay, he's gay, but he's also an idiot and a jerk and I hate him. I've tried to tell people we aren't together but of course, they believe the popular idiot instead of the uncool, tiny, ginger kid.
Now that I think of it, the fact that he towers over me is probably why he didn't take that note seriously.
I was about to go hit him before I felt someone grab my arm. That person would be Vivian, she has dyed purple hair, brown eyes, a subtle smile that she doesn't always show to people, and enough self-control to share some with me. She's a short, quiet, and sweet kid, and my only real friend.
"Don't." She says, "he's not worth getting in trouble over, especially not on your last day."
She's also the only person who knows I'm moving away from the city, I'll be going out of state. The reason I'm not telling anyone else is because I know Nate would get the news and (A) be all offended by it even though it's not completely my fault, (B) beg me to give him my phone number so we could keep in touch. Not to mention his buddies would probably bug me about how inconsiderate it was to just leave him.
"Yeah, I'm sorry I'm leaving you. We'll stay in touch, right?" I replied.
"Of course." She answered.
Soon I'll be far away from everyone here, all the way in another state. I'm moving with my mother to a town called Lucky Tree, a small town surrounded by nature. Basically the opposite of the big and busy city we live in now. I can't wait to get out of here.
At the end of the day, I say goodbye to Vivian before I take the bus back to my apartment to help my mom finish packing all our things into the moving van. Luckily Nate has basketball today so he won't see us.
"Any people you'd like to hang out with one more time before we go? I can postpone the move to tomorrow so you can have a slumber party or something?" Mom asks.
"No, I already said goodbye to Vivian." I reply.
"What about all your other friends?" She asks.
"Other friends? I don't have any other friends." I say, somewhat confused.
"What about all the people I've seen you with? I thought you were quite popular!" She replies.
"Those aren't friends. Those are annoyances and borderline stalkers." I say.
With that, she starts the van and we drive away. I see Nate as we pass the school, looking all sad as if he actually gives a damn that I'm leaving. I flip him off as we drive by. I can't wait to be far away from him and all his shitty friends. Forever.
