Chapter Text
1959
You steadily lifted the thin needle off the vinyl. Music that had rang loudly from the speakers came to a stop. You admired the cover of the record. The colours went together nicely, giving the cover life.
"[Y/N], it’s time for dinner!" Your mother called. As you walked down the carpeted stairs, the smell of your mom’s casserole wafted throughout the house. You sat down and slowly started to eat. After finishing, you got ready to leave for the Cavern Club.

At the Cavern Club
The Cavern had fewer people than usual. You were glad. The last time you went, it was cramped. The Quarrymen were on stage.
“Hello,”
You heard a feminine voice beside you. You looked to your left and saw a brunette smiling at you.
“I’m Anja.” She added cheerfully.
“I’m [Y/N],” You responded.
“Are you liking the band?” Anja glanced at the stage. “Looks like someone has an eye on you.”
You didn’t understand at first, but you followed her gaze. You saw the lead guitarist looking at you. After a brief moment of eye contact, he looked away after smiling. You felt a blush creep onto your cheeks.
Soon after, the Quarrymen finished performing. You decided to get some fresh air. You stepped outside into the cool April air.
You sat on a bench near the building. The still air was calming. Your breath was the only distinct noise you could hear.
“Is this seat taken?”
You heard a voice say.
“No, it’s not,” You said before looking up to see the lead guitarist, the member who was looking at you before, but you didn’t want to point that out or bring it up.
“So, what’s your name?” He asked.
“[Y/N].”
“I like it, you have a pretty name.” He gave me a smile, which I secretly loved. “Thank you. What’s yours?”
“George.”
You had a short conversation, but you already felt connected. The way you built off of each other’s words and body language led to a connection even after a short period.
From a distance, you could hear another boy calling out to George. George turned to you. “I’ve got to leave now, I hope I’ll see you again.” And with that, he stood up and left you on the bench.
“I hope I see you again too.” You thought.
