Summary
“Greg”, Tom says, suddenly even closer. His lips are right next to Greg’s ear and Greg can feel his warm breath on the sweat-damp skin of his neck. He shivers and draws in a sharp breath.
“Y-yeah, Tom?”
“One could almost think you’re not interested… in her, at all.”
Greg might be imagining it, but maybe, just maybe, there is the barest brush of lips against his neck just below his ear. Greg blinks hard, tries to breathe. The stripper turns to the music, drops into a graceful split and throws a smirk in their direction. There’s no way she’s heard anything, but - Greg doesn’t want to think about what they look like right now, Tom’s lips so close to his neck.
“I’m interested”, he forces out, “she’s just, maybe not my type? Exactly? I don’t know…”
Tom's smiling at him like a shark, annoyingly smug and too fucking hot for Greg to handle.
“Think you could do better, since this isn’t good enough for you? Since you’re an expert? Think you could make me give you more money than she can? You think you could make my dick harder?”
Greg makes a sound, an astonished little cough, and feels his whole face heat up.

Tom reaches out and starts to rub a palm soothingly up and down Greg’s back. Every so often he squeezes the back of his neck and Greg does this sort of contented sigh, despite the fact he’s curled awkwardly around a toilet.
Shiv watches Tom’s hand, looks at his wedding ring in particular, and frowns. This all just feels a little too friendly.

“A costume?” Tom asks, eyes still glued to the contents of the box. “For…Halloween?”
“N-No, not Halloween,” Greg stutters, flustered. “So, you can, like. You can absolutely say no and we can just forget this whole thing. That’s 100% on the table. But, uh. If you’re interested, I thought, perhaps, we could, like, roleplay?”
“Roleplay?” Tom repeats, glancing up at Greg. “As…?”
Tom’s really gonna make him say it, huh.
“As, uh. Well. Nero. And Sporus.”
OR: for their one year (dating) anniversary, greg custom-orders tom a nero costume and proposes a roleplay. tom is, unsurprisingly, very into it.
